Grew up in Fontana too. 1985 till today still here. I remember around 2000 my friends and I would talk about recording our days in the city because we would ride our BMx bikes throughout the city, but we never actually got around to buying the camera. Your videos make me wish so bad we did. Glade someone like you is out there with old these old videos. Great stuff.
Been here since 85. Went to Tokay elementary. Seen the city grow. Supported all the mom and pop shops. Anyone remember P&D video on sierra just before miller?
How you remember the past and what you actually record from 1998 are two different things. It's trippy seeing old school 87 Maximas in the video. Thanx for the upload...Its a real time machine.
i was born in 2006 and never lived in this era, thanks for all these video's, i watched lots of them and it realy feels like i lived in this era, i dream sometimes about it. I also love this cars. Keep recording video's because in the futur we would look back at the new video's
That Stater Bros shopping center takes me back. Before the Goodwill was there it used to be a music store in the early 80s. I think Goodwill took over the location in 1983-84. There was a laundromat there too and a donut place. I used to play arcade games in the donut place in the late 80s.
grew up in fontana back in the 70s my grandma used to take me to the good will and stater brothers boy a lot has changed the 4 corners was never there . thank for the memories and more of fontana would be great .
I was born and raised in San Bernardino. Fontana had changed alot. There's houses and food courts. Employees at stater Bros used to wear white button up shirts and brown tie. Today employees wear blue polo shirts. Only the manager wears a button up white T shirt and tie. I love the burritos at Joe's Mexican food. I don't remember seeing that bus model. 2000 I was seeing more of those buses. 90s were the best of times. Alot of good music in the 90s
I was actually born in Upland, CA at the San Antonio Hospital, but lived and raised in Fontana, CA. I forgot the first address, but after I used to live on Etiwanda Street. But at the time I used to live in front of a construction site and next to what looked like a trucking company. Point is I miss living here.
howtobebasic 2 yep. A lot of the big changes to the city really developed in the mid 80s up until the 90s when more homes and shopping centers were built. Living in Fontana in the early 80s still felt like the 70s.
Should've been titled "Sierra & Foothill Blvd" before and after!! What did I just watched??? Wasted all that time. Too much time on one boring location. Actually stopped watching with about 10 min left. Applauded the effort though.
