Good video Chris. I think you should lose the FK7 and just be Chris Time. I really like that you used to power plug rather than wiring power directly into the fuse box. This drive cam install was done the way most would do it, with no need for special tools or skills. A trim tool or even a screwdriver with a cloth wrapped around the tip, might help with tucking the power cord into the weatherstripping.
But FK7 at the end sounds so much cooler.. and the history…
I had to put my 91 Hatch into storage since it tried to turn me into Korean BBQ and bought the 21 Sport hatch and love it and I’ve been researching a dash cam so this has been pretty useful I appreciate your insight on everything!
Also, I’d say keep it as Chris TimeFK to keep it flexible if anything

Use a fuse tap and do it right. So if you adjust your wheel you won’t pull the cable out..

Don't you need a hardwire kit for the parking mode to work? The way I understand it, you have to wire it into the fuse box so the cam can get power when the engine is off.
I agree with most of the comments, change it to Chris Time, I think the FK7 part doesn't really make much sense to keep and its likely you'll upgrade to new Honda's in the future so FK8 wouldn't make much sense either

I just finished hardwiring a Viofo with front and rear cams with parking mode. Ran the wires through the trim and even through the rubber boot under the hatch gate.

Hey Chris love your content. The way this cord was ran could lead to problems in the future if the steering wheel would need to be adjusted. I use your channel for the cool mods you do. If you look at other channels there are some out there that could show you the how and why of properly running and securing aftermarket wiring. Please keep up the good work.

No ceramic coating on mine. I gotta put it on myself or take it to a detail shop.

Nice. I use Vantrue N4 3 Channel 4K Dash cam on my 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback EX. Although it doesn't have wifi ok lang din. 😜✌️

Great video man! On my channel I had a different Vantrue dash cam installed along with an auto dimming rear view mirror. I think that could be a nice touch to the interior for the Type R.

Make sure to put that cord BEHIND your steering wheel adjustment. Just in case someone gets in there and yanks it or you forget it’s there. Just my two cents. I think FK7 should be in the name because it’s still the generation of the civic. I get that there’s the FK8, but hatch is hatch is hatch.

Bro beware of the suction cup. Mine fell off after 1 month of using due to extreme heat outside and it won’t stick anymore. Vantrue has a mount with 3M tape so try that instead.

I meant it records while your driving.
When your vehicle is parked, it records whenever it detects collision or anyone going near your car.
