- In this video I show you the 4 main places to look if you have a loss of power due to poor fuel supply in a #12valve #cummins #diesel as we replace the fuel lift pump in my freightliner fl70 rollback tow truck.
I subscribed. You are really growing on me!
Don’t forget you need THREE check valve. The original had three the new ones only have two.
my truck lost power on my way home uphill tonight, your video helped me figure it out quick so i can get to work in the morning. thanks brotha for the concise information and the positive vibes
Awesome! Glad my video is able to help some one out. Comments like this encourage me to keep producing content. Appreciate the feedback.
I really enjoyed watching the video Aspie! It would bo nice if You had another Foster ahead of that lift pump. I like that old truck. Keep up the awesome work that You are doing. Stay safe and thanks for sharing.🙏🏻👍
I think cummins really undersized the filter on this engine. I am going to add a filter between tanks and lift pump when I set up my valves and separate the 2 tanks for running black diesel. Just got done setting up bluenose with dual tanks to run clean diesel in 1 tank and waste oil in the second. Rollback will be next in line when I can buy the valves hose etc. and have time to do it.
@@worthshop having a filter between your tanks and lift pump will be really awesome. I think you're making really good progress with this project. I think this is really cool especially if you can get the oil for free. It'll definitely pay off in the long run. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this project with us all.👍
I’ve been having a intermittent power loss on my 97 12 valve . I’m gonna pull that screen and hope it’s clogged . I have a new lift pump , good filter , no leaks I can find anywhere
I just get a truck with 12v Cummins and I had the same problem I will try cleaning the screen if still with low power I will buy the lift pump (it’s my first 12v Cummins) this video helped me a lot, thank you man
No problem! Check for boost leaks as well.
Same. My new 1995 dodge with Cummins only has 128k miles. I’m trying to drive it home. First 400 miles it was perfect with 19.5 highway mpg. I have 1000 miles to go! I’m lucky to have a place to stay mid trip and will take it to a diesel mechanic today. I suspect fuel filter.
I pulled the plastic fender liner out and than took a pair of tin snips and cut out a portion about the size of my hand. That made the job a breeze.
Great video, right to the point. 👍 I'm on the roadside with my 8.3 motohome and this was helpful.
I love a 5.9 Cummins and a international engine. Sweet, old school cool
Thanks for watching and being a part of the chanel. God bless.
Im having the same issue. This video is just what I needed. Thanks
