Irish Army piper plays "Oft in the Stilly Night"

Irish Army soldier and bagpiper Freddie Strutt plays a magnificent version of Thomas Moore’s “Oft in the Stilly Night” at Cavalry Day in the Curragh Camp, Co. Kildare, Ireland. This video combines the musicianship of Freddie with historic photos of Cavalry vehicles and personnel from days gone by. Cavalry Day is an opportunity for current and past members of the Irish Cavalry Corps to collectively honour the memory of fallen comrades. In addition, it provides an opportunity for retired members and their families to meet serving men and women of the Corps.
