- I RANTED a little bit during the video but touching on the Audio of the Stealth 700 Gen 2 from Turtle Beach, The Audio coming from the drivers is EXTREMELY Immersive. Playing any game that you want to get lost in the world is phenominal and turning on the superhuman hearing mode will increase the competitive nature of this headset, but I find that going past 50% honestly makes the highs a bit too crisp and a little jarrying so I usually stick between 20-50% for SHH mode during FPS games. NOW we wait for TB to fix the connectivity issues and maybe... just maybe... come out with an open back headset with the same capabilities👀

For those having Bluetooth issues try long pressing the Bluetooth button. It says Bluetooth on but then you have to wait for it to say Bluetooth pairing.
Ahh....the old Turtle Beach X12, my first gaming headset I ever used. Came from a decent home theater setup and instantly loved them. Though I did end up buying the A50 Gen 1 headset like 2 weeks later as I wanted wireless.
Need to up your game now

You have to hold the Bluetooth Button three Seconds to Connect!Just Tapping its only Connect to the Turtle beach App not to your Phone

actually. I think u have to be on the app while connecting to ur phone.
Update from August 23. Turtle beach have patched the bugs out so when you get them patch them right away. I love these had 600 stealths before and upgraded to this and could not be happier
How do you update the firmware? Via the app on phone ? Thanks buddy 😊
@pitbullash hey dude! Sorry seen this now! Just plug them into your pc and download the software of the TB site and goes to work automatically
How long have you had them seen a lot of people say they break on the side where earcup is my stealth 700gen 2 snapped also on the side brilliant headset just poor quality

I picked this up coming from the 700 gen 2’s and it’s def and upgrade. The battery life is the reason I made the switch. Using it for my Xbox and pc, sometimes the switch.
So these are better 🤔 and worth the upgrade?
@@dretrunkslumpdrizzah definitely especially if you use multiple platforms. They also have way more battery life as I mentioned. I sold my other 700s
when using them on pc does your windows volume slider work on them? When i try using it the volume on the headset doesnt actually change. Ive also noticed the chat wheel doesnt work on pc. Is this an issue for mine specifically or have you seen the same issues?
Not a blue fan here but that dark blue with copper accents looks sick as hell!!
I have been a turtle beach fan since I was 7 years old and my parents got me my first pair I just purchased these for my new pc I built and Holy shit turtle beach has come a long way no joke best mic I have ever owned
So TB has a brand new firmware update that fixed connectivity issue. If u still have this headset, i would look at their website and update it via the computer and see if the BT and connectivity work better because thats what they claim works now

I loved the X12 headset, The left ear cup did die on me after about 2 years, but when they were working it was fantastic. I just recently bought the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless and absolutely love them, The sound quality is great and has no connectivity issues. I don't mind the leather ear cups, but I do prefer cloth. I think the Alpha Wireless is my new favorite wireless headset, followed by the Arctis Pro Wireless. The battery life is amazing on the Alpha's though.

I have the old version of this headset, the most annoying thing about it was that it did not come with a dongle, because it was supposed to work with xbox automatically, but of course that meant no PS5 or Switch, and you could use it with PC but you had to get a dongle for that separately.

God damnit, the small Destiny 2 clip was the only thing that pushed me over the edge and forced me to redownload the game.
Other reviewers haven't mentioned any BT issues. Maybe you have a defective set? Did you contact TB about it?

I can confirm I hav razor kiara pros and astro a40s and I just got stealth 700 max yesterday and they are just an absolute upgrade

The Bluetooth works but it’s very shotty. I find I have to oftentimes re-pair it to my phone.
The previous gen 700s Bluetooth was better. But the sound quality of this headset makes that a moot point for me.
Haven't seen these connection issues in other reviews, might be an environmental like another device interfering or a faulty headset/dongle.
He’s pretty spot on with describing the connection issues.. it’s not terrible but I had the same situation.

I can’t remember what wired TB I had first but they weren’t the X-12s. I eventually went from Sony 3D Pulse Elite Ed, to gen 2 A50s, Gen 4s, and now I have the reg stealth 700s G2 for PS5. (Still have my Gen 2 and 4 A50s) I’m planning on getting an Xbox SX soon for FH5 and MSFS. So these I might entertain for a long battery life and all around compatibility 👀🅿️
I had the X11 and still have them, but don't play with them anymore, still works through.
Great review- Thanks! I have a different reason to buy this headset. I have a Denon receiver with a Bluetooth output, and at night I use headphones to watch movies, TV etc. so I don't bother anyone. The output audio signal from the receiver for the Bluetooth is not very high, and it's not adjustable. So I wanted to find a Bluetooth headset that had a built-in amplifier for program content that wasn't very loud. I found Bluetooth headsets with built in audio amps are not very common. This should work for what I'm using it for - correct- I mean I don't need to be using the USB dongle also for the Bluetoooth to connect? Hopefully there will be a firmware update that will solve some of the Bluetooth issues- I guess I can always return them also. You make a great point about using the app- and having those setting save to the headphones- whether you're gaming, or using them the way I intend to use them, it would be nice to be able to tweak the settings via the app and they store to the headset.- Thanks again- fantastic review!

How do you think this headset compares to the Corsair Virtuoso XT? I am using the Virtuoso and love it (modded it by adding a headband for better confort) but I've heard reviews that A50s or this Turtle Beach sounds better. I need a good gaming headset for FPS with a good mic for work. Thanks!
Why does my superhuman hearing sound teribble ? Theirs a pop whenever my friends talk or when i shoot in insurgency sandstorm
I have these and the Sony pulse! Turtle Beach is better in My opinion. Plus they fit better with my psvr2 head set where the pulse is a bit of a hassle.
So I am looking at the 700 gen 2 (possibly 600 gen 2), would it be worth waiting for the 700 MAX? - I'm in Aus also and out for presale now for delivery in September!
I have the 700 max and it needs some fixes. If I was you keep what you have now and wait a month or so then check back too see if its fixed. But if they can fix the issues the max feel so much better then the other 2 you mentioned.
Once those issues get updated with firmware updates these will be the best headsets out there
Um ..no! Not even close to the best..about mid range.i have these and even in there price range the arctis 9,razer kairas pro,and Corsair HS75 all sound better than these...there good,don't get me wrong but there's better in this price range for sure.the bass is weak compared to others and they feel flimsy and cheap..
@@USMC-es4yy I think it must depend. Of course, it's subjective, but I found the 700 Gen 2 Max to be more immersive, with better positional audio than the Kaira Pro. Now, that might be platform specific, as I've never used the Kaira Pro on my PS5, but I have used the 700 Gen 2 (not Max) on there and on PS5 and Xbox, I haven't found anything I liked better for immersion and positional audio.
Connection, functionality, and build "feel" are a different matter, though. I'm still considering trading my 700 Gen 2 Max for the Nova 7 or Astro A30, simply because of less than rock-solid connection and inconsistent performance of the mobile App.

I've had a weird Bluetooth issue watching this video paired to my phone where the audio skips but it sorted itself out after the video loaded abit. Other then that great sound but not the best but I've used it all weekend playing dayz on ps5 during 2 raids and I found it reasonable to pin point gun shot locations and could hear foot steps in the distance which is all i could ask for. Music paired to my phone sounds good. The microphone I've had no complaints from other people in party chat or while talking on the phone they all say I sound nice and clear

I love my TB stealth 700 gen 2 but too many software issues , when I first switch on ps5 I have low sound so I have to turn off and back on again, once came to the headset and no power at all, then after updates couldn't connect it to the TB audio hub on my iPhone even though I could connect to my iPhones BT, wish I cold trust these but with all the issues with software I have just bought Steel series nova 7p

hey just got this headset for my PC(PS5 version) Does your master volume on your phone app reach all the way up?? all my settings on my PC are up to 100 and still sounds like its 70% up. also on my audio hub app the green bar is not all the way up but I cant adjust it. any help would be appreciated.
Exactly my question .. it’s lowered the volume bar by itself in the app but have never once seen it full the sound is way to low they SUCK stealth 600 were louder

In a different way, yes! They are more immersive than Astros by A LOT. Astros still feel a bit more open and maybe slightly more directional, but I would say grab these if you want a really good closed back headphone
My question is, are they louder then the regular 700 gen 2 and, are the worth extra money?
It gives 40 hrs of batter life vs 20 hrs and full cross platform compatibility but it depends if u think it is worth the extra

The Bluetooth and everything I found was perfect I only ran into an issue when I have it on Bluetooth I walk into the house it connects to the Xbox then turns off
Also every time I turn it on and connect to Bluetooth than the Xbox and turns off I always have to turn it on twice don’t know what’s up with that

Volume at max is low if that makes sense firmware upto date all console sound settings at max and this headset volume is low at max bad headset
I used the older version not the max had to hold BT button to pair. Has anyone tried the 600 max?

You don’t need the dongle with your phone but with consoles and such, yes you need the dongle
I bought the Steal Series Nova Pro for 349.99 at Best Buy. It sounds good, but I just spent 350 on a headset and that seems crazy to me after the fact. How does this compare to the Nova Pro? I am asking because Best Buy has this one marked down to 140 and I am thinking about taking the Nova back and saving 150 bucks if it’s just as good..
its probably not as good, but for $200 less id bet its worth the return
have had and used both and though the nova pros sound was good, they weren’t remarkable and definitely not at msrp of $350 or even at $250 (sale price i got them for). i would recommend the 700’s over the nova pro’s, tho a better comparison might be the 700’s against the nova 7x as those are more comfortable, imo, but the sound on 700’s are louder, more powerful, and the app for adjustments is more convenient than adjusting the novas on a pc/mac. hope this helps, but yeah, save the cash and go 700’s or nova 7x’s, sound wise with either, you will not be missing out. happy gaming!
Nova pros are definitely NOT worth 350.00. If you’re willing to spend that much on a headset I would say look at the Audeze Maxwell

I bought these because I mainly use Arctis 9x on xsx and wanted an upgrade to my pulse 3d for ps5 but I’ve not been thrilled with them. The volume doesn’t get loud enough and I feel they oils use more bass. I have to unplug the dongle from my ps5 when I finish gaming with them to get my tv sound back. Haven’t tried with the xsx yet but have. They sound pretty good but much prefer my arctis 9x
It needs a stupid dongle. It's a downgrade from the non-Max Stealth 700 Gen 2 which uses Xbox Wireless and doesn't need a dongle.
The dongle is only for pc ya dunce 😂
Xbox Wireless is trash. 2.4 ghz is better
The connection is absolutely solid far better than the old connection
The sound sucks it’s so low on pc and u can’t slide the master volume slider in audio hub this the worst headset EVER!!! Stealth 600 were way better, this are the worse headset ever volume is way to low and u can’t increase the sound volume not even in the audio hub
This headset is absolutely terrible. Feels cheap and plastic, but above all the connection for me was so bad o couldn't stand it. Constand little drop outs and weird noises, mic does not work all the time if you connect it to a phone call. No thank you. LucidSound is way way way better!
How to question mark since they send you stuff like this do you usually use them or do you use them and present them as gifts you know you might put it away and not ever use it again I was just asking cuz I wanted to become a TH-camr one day just nope nothing like big maybe maybe up to 100,000 people and I don't care about getting stuff from people I've been trying to get those headsets right there for I believe a year and a half now and I had to go up with the stealth 600 Gen 2 right now financially broke it sucks I take care of my mother so I have to pay for it a house payment I do play Call of Duty and stuff like that I did buy an Xbox series X a while back when we got our stimulus. I saved up a lot of money and then when I helped my mother I didn't know I'd have to pay for a house payment but some of those go for like $170 bucks I can't afford that even the Gen 2600 go for $79 so take away a hundred are they worse the money you pay for them those are the ones I wanted the cobalt blue I looked everywhere for them in places only had the black with the Silver Lining and I when I play with the ones I have now I can barely hear the footsteps of anything they just it reminds me of the ones I got when I had my Xbox One it's basically the same thing it's just Gen 2 they didn't feel good I figured after a while I have to break them in but just wanted to know how they work and if they're good enough. You know I've seen Dr disrespect use them for almost 2 years now so I figured they would be working or a good company I've had Turtle Beach in the past too hopefully they work well
Managed to get the PlayStation versions but it’s not compatible with the Xbox 🥲 just my luck
