    This is the first review I've heard with any negative comments and it was enough to give me pause. I have the flip socket and really like it and wanted to combine it with the 14 and one for more of an all in one option. Im not a contractor but I have a lot of friends call me to look at this or mess with that and Ive always taken my old kobalt 6 in 1 with me as it usually handles most things. Generally the people calling me have no idea what they're looking at and I dont want to pack a tool bag with a bunch of shit I may or may not need. I may just stick with the 6 in 1 and needle nose pliers then go back and grab whatever I need if more is required. Thanks.

      I don't think this particular Klein is ready for prime time. I'd planned to pair it with the Klein Tools 32907 7-in-1 Impact Flip Socket Set. The mega pro ratcheting driver I talked about is built much better. Now USA made Klein, like the crimpers, never an issue with any of that except may be some pliers that were too sticky/stiff out of the package.

    I bought this too. I like it and it is apart of my everyday carry. The only negative I’ve had with mine is the bits tend to fall out when I open the carrousel. If anything else happens with it, it will become dead to me.

    I bought this screwdriver too. I was rental with it and the same black ring/backing broke. Also , the handle is a little big. The cushion grip now will rotate as I grip and turn something a little tough. Great Idea. Cheaply made.

    Mine bit holder looks different from yours, has a ring divider in the middle and the bits don't fall out at all. Maybe they have changed the design. I like it.

    I also bought that exact screwdriver and had a problem with the shaft not locking, I also purchased the magnetic 6” nut driver set and after 2 weeks the magnet fell out of the 1/4 inch driver, both were purchased on Amazon. IMPORTANT: I called Klein for warranty info since both items were less that a month old and was told by Customer Service that because I purchased them on Amazon they will not honor the warranty!!! The C/S tech told me if I had purchased them through Home Depot they would cover the repair?? Nowhere on the Amazon website does it state that the warranty is void if purchased through Amazon. Also they were not a 3rd party sale, it was fulfilled by Amazon LLC, So BUYER BEWARE!!! Thanks

      Home Depot has a 90 day return policy and Amazon has a 30 day return policy. It's good you can return just about anything on Amazon for free if there is an issue with the product.

    Found this video because I have the same problem with this screwdriver. I just set up for a warranty return which I"ll send tomorrow. I bought at Home Depot and copy of receipt is required, no problem I have that. Photos on Klein website looks like the new version maybe fixes the problem. I'll update / reply again when I get my replacement.

      That's correct, to Klein's credit, they have addressed the issue with the bit carousel in newer versions of the tool. I talk about that in this video: th-cam.com/video/XBWWQ7WuW4I/w-d-xo.html I talk about it here as well: th-cam.com/video/xw2z60WtAoU/w-d-xo.html

      Took 2 weeks but after sending in my older style 14-in-1 to Klein via their online warranty process, I just received the new style. Bit storage looks much better. Only bummer was having to pay to ship the old one to them.

    My 14-in-1 originally came with a conventional magnetic bit holder on the shaft and no ball dentent and flip socket. It has held up well under light use. I suggest no use of oil which tends to weaken many forms of plastic.

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree on the lubricant, the issue for me was the plastic falling in the handle. Thanks for watching!

    Can u use any 1/4 bits or only the ones in the handle? Can u put the Milwaukee shockwave bits in there that u would put in an impact? Thanks

    Klein tools quality in general has gone down for the sake of continuously putting out new gimmicky products.
    Oh, also these gimmicks are usually made offshore in China or Taiwan.

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. The made in the USA Klein Tools are definitely better quality.

    I hate any multi-driver that uses those tiny little bits. They like to stick on the screw and then fall into the machine you are working on. And if you get a driver that holds the little bits well then you can't pinch them tight enough to change them unless you get a pair of pliers to grip them. And all the bit sets are 90% of those little crappy bits.

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I often prefer to use a 3 1/2" bit with a tool that has a locking collet. Thanks for watching!

      @@Agent_G_33 They now have a one piece carousel that has a divider. That prevents bits from falling out.
