What I *LOVE* about Morrowind is that there's so many different armor and clothing pieces. Armor: Helmet, torso, legs, boots, right shoulder, left shoulder, right hand, left hand. Clothing: Torso, pants, boots, skirt, right hand, left hand, belt, 2 rings, a necklace. And you could wear ALL of them at the same time.
I never appreciated Oblivion Daedric Armor until I saw the concept art for it and installed a retexture that is sadly no longer on Nexus to really make what was in the concept art pop.
I really like the steel armor in oblivion, not only does it look realistic to something in history, but the shine it has really does define "A Knight in shining armor" to me.
It tracks though with how you find out that Dwemer "armor" in Morrowind is just piecemeal bits of broken centurions cobbled together to make a suit. XD

Morrowind was ahead of the curve here. The only game which let you mix and match every single piece of armor. You could have had one shoulder in Daedric the other Ebony etc..
One person in another thread put it this way: Morrowind went for the coolness factor, Oblivion went for practical, and Skyrim went for a balance between the two. For the most part, I’d agree

I remember the days when I used to (cos)play LotR soldiers in Oblivion. Imperial Legion Armor for an elvish battle archer, the Choroll (or what its name was) Guards armor for Swordsmen of Gondor, Ebony for Rohirrim and simple green robes and hoods with either elven or ebony for striders/rangers. I also liked Oblivions class/perk/level system the most. Oh boy i can't wait for skyblivion to launch.

Morrowind has a nordic iron helmet and cuirass. It was can to equip these items in an iron armor set for comparison with the armor of Skyrim. That's what's good about Morrowind. There, most armor sets have alternative parts.
Well, this armor makes sense. If this glass is strong and stable, then impacts will be deflected to the side with almost no friction due to the smoothness of the glass.
The only thing I would change is give the glass armor to Skyrim as well. Morrisons looks dope as fuck but I like the "atlantean" vibe the Skyrim one has.
Finally someone I could agree with. Really would like all these armors from these games to be remastered cause they all got potential except for a few that look outdated.

Glass armor in Morrowind is absolutely brutal. It's my favorite fantasy armor of all time, and the fact that it fell of pretty hard in next games is kinda sad.
What I like about it, is that its glass gems and pieces embedded in metal armor, as opposed to almost all glass like the Oblivion style. Never was a fan of the lime knight armor. I wasnt a fan of the aquaman armor in Skyrim either.
Oh definitely. I always go full glass in morrowind. Everything in morrowind was more raw. The orcish, daedric and dark brotherhood armors for example. There was almost a horror aspect to Morrowind that I love.

Funny to me that all the cyrodiil sets cover the whole body, where its mostly warm throughout the province, while a bunch of the skyrim armours have the arms or legs hella exposed, in skyrim the northern province that is much colder than cyrodiil across the province 😂
Yeah, feels like they REALLY wanted that "sleeveless barbarian" type look for skyrim, but since all the early tiers feel like that, it leads them to feeling overexposed for anything BUT that type of playstyle least they brought back a bit of the more fantastical styles for a bunch of the mid-late besides daedric tier armors like in morrowind, albeit more reserved comparatively

Tribunal DLC, Dark Brotherhood tries to kill you which leads you to the city of Mournhold. It’s basically a reskin of the Morong Tong armor if I’m not mistaken.
Morrowind armor styles made so much more sense than in the later games. Just take a look at the "glass" armor. Everyone understood that this "glass" was not window-glass but a kind of hard, shard-like, ceramic substance, and the look of it put it on places that made sense for a normal person (that has no clue about armor in reallife), but in oblivion and skyrim the glass is much more "glass-like" and i cringe when i think of the person in the armor getting hit with something like a sword or morningstar....
One thing I sort of disliked about armor options between all the games, but more so Skyrim. I didn't like that most armors were useless endgame. As in it's pretty easy to surpass Oricish, Ebony, Glass, etc into Dragon Bone or Daedric and never touch the mid tier armors altogether. This is probably because I also always built my armor and power leveled smithing too fast to ever be concerned with mid armors, but it still wouldve been nice for more options. There was the same issue with Daedric artifacts, why would I use a steel battleaxe with a mid enchantment when I can just make something way better. Looking at you Clavicus Vile.
In lore the Empire has a HUGE monopoly on iron, steel, and ebony, that's why those sets always has the European Fantasy design. I've always preferred that kind of design for the classical iron/steel/ebony look than the ones in skyrim(the skyrim ones look fine but don't stick to the eastern Empire esthetic, wasn't really into the sudden Roman theme the Empire had in skyrim also).
i love how oblivion is basically the awkward middle child of elder scrolls games. i honestly can’t hate it, the awkward bulky colorful shit gives the game its charm.
iron armor looks great apart from the head, i hate how because they had facial animations, they uncovered the faces with the armor, the glass armor looks horrible though.
Oblivion is a Great Game, Amazing even. But the Armor is so meh, especially the helmets.(Except Daedric, Its the GOAT) Lucky there are Closed-Face Helmet Mod to make most of them unique.
Yeah you got her sick sword too. IIRC it’s the clavicus vile quest and you can choose to return the blade (cringe) for the helm of vile or you can keep the sword for yourself (based)

You can download “immersive armor” mod for skyrim, it has tons of good looking armors including morrowind sets.
They look like over the top clown suits. Oblivion had the best armor. Realistic armor looks way better than big flashy clown suit armor.

i love how oblivion is basically the awkward middle child of elder scrolls games. i honestly can’t hate it, the awkward bulky colorful shit gives the game its charm.

iron armor looks great apart from the head, i hate how because they had facial animations, they uncovered the faces with the armor, the glass armor looks horrible though.
I really wish Skyrim had cloak physics built into the game like Fallout 4 did. So many pieces of armor looked cool, but felt static.
The Ebony Armor in oblivion was a let down for me but an upgrade in Skyrim.

But the Armor is so meh, especially the helmets.(Except Daedric, Its the GOAT)
Lucky there are Closed-Face Helmet Mod to make most of them unique.
Imperial armor in Oblivion is so iconic. I really didn't like how imperial armor in Skyrim looks exactly like Roman armor

Yeah you got her sick sword too. IIRC it’s the clavicus vile quest and you can choose to return the blade (cringe) for the helm of vile or you can keep the sword for yourself (based)
