I installed around $3000 worth of new, adjustable suspension onto my cheapo Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and now it's scary good. (Pricing was not final when video was made, price is higher than stated in video. Also, apologies for the blurry focus, I'm apparently new at this.)

I must be getting old or something, but I think that car looked better at the stock ride height. Lowered like that, the wheels don't look like they are correctly proportioned to the wheel arches.

Pierre Sept Astons are born to be tuned and raced. Keeping them stock goes against everything the company stands for. The more and Aston looks like it belongs at lemans the better.

I just lowered my $36,000 Aston Martin for $3,000 which I installed a $3,600 exhaust on so that I can park it behind my cheap $8,900 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG that I just fixed for $20 which was worth $130,000 in 2006 which is parked adjacent to my cheap $7,500 F350 dually and is under my $5,000 lift that I installed next to my cheap $1,000 Ford Mustang that I added a $1,000 nitrous kit to so that I can park my cheap $3,000 S class next to it without cluttering my garage.

    HI Tavarish
Just to advice you that please don't put spacers on the wheels as they will have detrimental loss of strength on the wheel bearings they will also have less lever strength which in turn will snap the wheel off.
    Just some helpful advice.

Gotta agree with all those who've said the front is too low for aesthetics, but it probably does improve handling in corners. As for pushing the wheels out towards the edge of the wheel wells, definitely pick up some wider and lighter wheels with the corresponding rubber.

  • @WagonMafia12

Please tell me they actually modeled that suspension based on the corner weights, desired frequency, trave,=l, flat ride, etc. and did not just slap something together like how their kits normally are done. I could never imagine spending 3K for a suspension that is 1K for almost any other platform. And why the hell didn't they use swift springs?

But your race shop should be able to get some specs and you can avoid spacers and decrease unsprung rotational mass which increases my acceleration and REALLY improves breaking.... holy crap it stops on a dime.

It's got the same ABC suspension as the SL55, so that can be troublesome if neglected. The engine is fairly reliable, with the only real faults being the $1500 coil packs (2 per engine). Having a twin-turbo V12 is pretty awesome though, those engines can be tuned to well over 600hp easily.
