Hello, everyone! Just for your info: This video was recorded some time ago, hence the 1080p upload. Rest assured, I will be sticking with 4K for newly recorded videos. I hope you're all well! Cheers : )
the combination of retro cockpit, gloomy london and british captain has a comfy vibe for some reason. its like a memory of events ive never lived through
The "Pocket Rocket", my favourite aircraft in 35 years of flying. I was a Training Captain on them & the JF F28 is spot on! You could never be too high on an approach & we would often descend from 10,000 ft / 10 miles out using that magic Speed Brake. With no speed restrictions in our day we could keep 300 kts to around five miles no problem. BTW We didn't bother with Flaps 11.
this is still the king of MSFS retro jets. The FSS 727 is great but theres something about the F28 that can't be beat. Can't wait to fly it in MSFS24. Also, flying this shared cockpit is going to be amazing! Will do that soon using YourControls with a friend
I love the FSS 727 it's such a fun bird yet I barely ever see her being flown! I agree the F28 does have some of that special magic that Just Flight are so good at accomplishing.
@@Superamazing110 I think the 727 is the sexiest airliner of the jet age (Connie in the prop age) and I had Captain Sim's 722 in FSX. Very detailed yet the Just Flight "Fly the Mad Dog" was a superior title.
I’ve been subscribed to this channel for quite a while, but I just finished going through every single videos of your videos to “catch up” so to speak. Now I know how it feels to actually have to wait for a new Into the Blue video and it just couldn’t come soon enough. Watching other MSFS videos on youtube just doesn’t give me the same satisfaction for the narrative and visual quality from your content. So thanks for spoiling me with such high standards😂
commenting for the algo but yet another superb video. can't wait to see what kind of videos are in-store for the channel when 2024 drops. what a time to be a flight simmer! thanks for your hard work and commitment to producing banger after banger.
Yeah, I've been looking at both the F28 and the 146. But as a beginner, im a bit intimidated by the older aircraft, so im sitting on needles here, waiting for both the RJ and the F100 to release :D
Thank you for doing this. Enjoyed every minute. This is F28 weather. Too bad important VORs are closed, and range is too short in some VOR in MSFS, make F28 less enjoyable for me. A few comments : there is no NWS lock out device. Normally engine start is done after tow bar disconnect - or use disconnect switches near tiller. Extend speed brake much earlier at approach. Just add power to compensate. There is a blow in device. You can see difference in commanded and actual position. Not sure why this procedure. Could be quicker go around, or better power vs speed response at final.
I'm no expert but id imagine your right with better go around response. Older engines tend to have terrible throttle response in the lower rpms so having drag which can be removed quickly is better than having throttle that can't be added very quickly. Just an educated guess that is
Very enjoyable as usual. I've noticed that my daughter in law uses an iPad on her lap with her flight plan on it in her P28 rather than faffing around with the Nav radios. She just points the plane to follow the line. Wouldn't it be easier than all this palaver?😂
Yeah, that works great until the ipad dies, if you mean in the real world. She better learn real navigation with charts and maps, also. That's dumb not to. And dangerous.
@@Gryper-c3s Yup, in the real world. There's a USB socket in her plane and maps and charts are all there on her iPad. Can't remember the name of the app she uses but it wasn't cheap. Don't see what's dangerous about it? I assume that she's learnt navigation as part of obtaining her licence but now chooses to use an iPad instead of the clunky Garmin fitted to the plane. EDIT. Think the app is called Sky Demon.
You mean when you get into a real jet you can’t just press CNTRL-E to automatically start and set everything? That explains why I got kicked out of flight school, real life just isn’t as realistic as the SIM
You know that a 4090 doesn’t make that big of a difference in msfs. You need a good processor like a 14900k or a 9950 a 4090 does not mean more performance on msgs an 7900xt or an 4070ti perform the same.
Really? Can you give us examples? The opposite has been said by so many people about our graphical work/textures etc. Each to their own of course but suggesting this area of work from us falls behind most developers takes some believing. Subjective I guess.
@@lvwpy Don't want to hijack this thread but a quick answer - It's very close. As usual development of this kind, very detailed and complex is prone to last minute issues which we've ran into on this occasion. Work continues flat out to get the RJ over the line and ready for you as quickly as we can. It's going to be November now but we really hope it'll be first half of the month. Looking that way currently if all goes to plan. Thanks for your patience.
Hi there. I believe I have stated this before on your great ITBS I do feel the need to state it once again. If myself and my two gorgeous daughters are travelling anywhere near or within the UK, I sincerely hope you sir are our captain in charge of the aircraft that we are on and if I believe I recognise your voice and at the appropriate time at coursing altitude i shall ask to say hello to you Sir and introduce yourself and my daughters to you. High praise yes Sir I grant you that, however the praise is not and shall never be misgiven, absolute professionalism and honesty for what one does shines through, no matter our vocation and Yes Captain you do shine brighter than most. Kind and sincere regards Terry, Australia.

In FSX the Just Flight "Fly the Mad Dog" was the one. An AAL Captain friend of mind really liked that one as well.

The Soundsets on this bird are fantastic. The engine spool up is beautiful

Nice little airliner. Love the flying with just the old radio nav.
The ageing of the cockpit textures ang glow of the incandescent bulbs are absolutely beautiful.
Oh how I long for a 1-11 of this standard in the sim!
What a beautiful and fun little aircraft. Thanks!

i used to fly this Airline and aircraft when i was a kid in the 90's from Birmingham to Jersey
That flight deck is a thing of beauty
I love your cuannel and older airliners! keep it up!
Once again Captain great video
Been considering this so much, but the eventual F100 which is coming soon is so enticing! but, wont have an Ansett livery. hmmmm

Why didnt the aircraft weight change as the fuel was used?
I learn so much from your videos. I'm currently enjoying the F28 Professional on Xbox. Maybe a pc next year ...

was hoping for toliss a330 mate. especially since i think you fly the exact plane irl
why is there a flap angle indicator on the wing? so flight crew can just double check it......?
Flight and maintenance crew correct. Most planes have them as flaps can become out of sync, I have seen it happen on F14s in the past.

Nice video but can you use this add on in msfs2024?
Just wondering. The livery in your video doesn't seem to match the one in the link provided. Different style and colour scheme. Please advise. 😊
Thanks very much for the heads-up, Mimiclobster! The link has now been corrected : )
All the best!
Which Atmos Presets and Nvidia Filters are you using? :)

What filters do you use?
Can I ask which ATC add on you are using? Thanks
Sounds to be Vatsim mate.

I don't know what it is with justflight textures but they look a little cartoonish to me... Falls behind most developers these days.

Not for me, in fact, I think Just Flight is one of the top three developers for MSFS airliners.
@@justflight do you have any news about the incoming Avro RJ?
I love the textures, some of the best in the business.
