Hello! Thank you for posting this. I tried to follow along, but mine did not have a tab labelled export to file. It just ha representations, copy/move file, and data probe. Any ideas? I'm using Slicer 4.6.2
Hey! thank you for a very clear tutorial. Do you know, how to save the output segmentation as DICOM SEG file, in the .dcm format, instead of .seg.nrrd?
Hi! you probably figured it out already, but you can save segmentation as DICOM SEG by: (1) going to the Data module; (2) right click on the study name -> Export to file...; (3) select the study, you should see DICOMSegmentation in the "Select export type" section; (4) export to DICOM SEG
Hey Jwitos! What should I do if I want to save new versions of the same file without deleting the old ones?? Is there an automatic option to save new versions without replacing the old files???
When you save the file you can simply edit the file name by clicking on it (like at around 3:13). Once you edit it and save again you will have a new version.
Hi! Which file did you export? Segmentation files (.seg.nrrd) can be even under 1kb if you made segmentation only on a single slice. Are you able to load the file back into the Slicer?
@@Toanh10 I don't know what PostDentalSurgery is or what are you trying to accomplish, whether there are any errors, what is the expected behavior etc. If you can describe your problem clearly then I will do my best to help.

how can i automate it to export after 5 or 10 min
You could probably write a Python script (or a full plug-in) for that. I imagine it will be tricky to figure out when to start measuring time.
@@janwitowski thanks, where can i get tutorial to see how can i create plugin for 3d slicer, i already know python.
