Need to appreciate the efforts that Trivandrum airport did during this period. Apart from its regular flights, it also had to handle all the Aircrafts from Kochi as well as importantly the flood relief operations as TRV became the hub of all the relief operations
Need to appreciate Calicut Airpor as well, they handled 100 service per day during this period.
Trivandrum handled more than 2000+ flights in a week during flood

Kudos to team cial.But airport authorities while taking concern over the future of the airport please don't forget the lives of the people living around the airport.They had to run away from their homes several times in this year only because of the unscientific altering of the so called chengalthodu for the purpose of airport!They are the people who suffered most because of this airport.please do find a permanent solution for this and reconstruct the roads that are lost while making this airport!

TRV Thiruvanathapuram International Airport is the best ever Airport, Politics has ruined it , but no rain or no flood could stop its operations . This is a lesson for kochi airport and politicians who made it. Politicians and authority people have to learn one thing this was a beautiful land of rivers, paddy fields and streams , you have built the airport over the paddy fields of Nedumbasherry , you blocked the river flowing nearby and now you need Dutch people to study and bring solution for kochi airport, why ? You are right on one thing the airport is situated over the paddy field but no River or flow of river is diverted. This is once in a millennium occurrence. They will definitely learn from it and bounce back. But never dare to compare trivandrum n Cochin airport been to tvm airport couple of time.. such a small one..

This is the difference between Ernakulam and Capital city Trivandrum, most of the media like manorama have acres of paddy field in kochi and they want to increase the land value of thier property, that is the reason why they are making weekly 10 documentries to praise kochi, Trivandrum airport and public were the true heroes during this flood, 100s of fishing boats came from vizhinjam region for rescue, tons of relief materials were collected, packed, and transported by young generation of Trivandrum, nobody noticed because we didn t had celebrities who come in FB live every half hour to say "anbodu Trivandrum" and other rubbish, and to say about Airport, before flooding the people from pramukha jilla were saying that trivandrum cant handle big flights, after flooding each and every plane landed in our capital without any problem, this is dirty politics and regionalism, Trivandrum is capital for centuries for a good reason, nobody can hide it, because truth will come above naturally,..
