Air India is currently planning to maximise international destinations with large aircrafts from major Indian cities. This is why Kochi - Dubai large aircraft shifted. Once Air India gets new wide body aircrafts they will replace to the existing smaller aircrafts.
Air India rescheduled/changed some widebody because they are in shortage of widebody pilots. Some are in training some are trained to operate 787 as well as 777. Soon airports other than Delhi and Mumbai can see widebodies from air india once deliveries started.

@@farhananishad1611 the only reason kochi airport is getting so much passenger is because it's situated in the central part of kerala which makes it easier for travellers from other districts except kollam easier to reach hence higher flights and travellers whereas TVM is located in edge or lower end of Kerala with only making travellers from TVM and Kollam it's able to reach this level 🤡 geographical location of the district is the main advantage of the place 😏
