- We hosted the first ever DriveTribe event, DriveTribe at Haynes Motor Museum, and Richard Hammond decided to peruse the car park to see what you guys had all turned up in. There was plenty of material for him to roast...

I love how everybody is just following Hammond around
They're paramedics in disguise with scissors in their pockets
Yeah, kinda creepy
It's like a really dull reenactment of that famous scene in Rocky.
Funny. I hate it. They are like sheep. No will of their own just following him around. To each his own I guess. I do love that we both can have a completely opposite view on this :-).
I wish you a lovely day.
saddos
"Look at it now, while it's the same shape." Mustang jokes never get old, do they?
Also, that murdered-out Rolls Royce is such a villain car - love it.
There is a Jordie that did the murdered out on an XJ that is also rightfully wicked. Taking classic stuffy lux and just making them menacing is brilliant
Hahaha @@honestywins9505. Drive safe and enjoy
I didn't know the Brits knew about mustang habits.
@@lordfordification Hammond is basically American
@@dxpehat7682 he's one of the few British celebrities I actually like.
All the Subies finding each other and hanging out together is the most Subie thing ever.
Isn't that because they'll have to push, pull or drag someone home at some point, or am I thinking of the Alfies???
@@drshoe8744 Subarus are substantially more reliable than Alfas. Not that it's saying much lol.
It was our group, Simply Scoobys, we arrived together.
@@RYTF5I own a 97 2.2l Impreza which lately sits more than it's driven. But for all its 26 years and 76k miles it hasn't had any major issues, not once.
@@RYTF5 so what, it's the car that you enjoy
both alfas and subarus are brilliant cars
I love how you can hear his love for cars as he goes round. He started nearly 30 years ago because he loved cars and that's still wonderfully true.
And he just hangs out with his fans. We don't get celebrities like this.
Love them or hate them, Clarkson, Hammond and May are genuine people.
@@archangel2781 Agree! They are legends!
It's the first time I see Hammond in a hoodie. And I've been watching him since we both were in short pants.
Well it would be a bit weird hosting a car event if he didn't love cars wouldn't it?
Of the three of them, I sometimes think Hammond is probably the greater car lover/enthusiast. He just loves anything on wheels and is happy to talk about it in such an approachable manner.
Whoever widebodied a silver shadow deserves a medal. Love it.
Agreed dude, it's a menace
It looks SO different without the bumpers as well.
AFAIK its a full Mercedes c63 conversion too.
Some say its so menacing, when you drive it you turn into a kray twin.
Its so brash and offensive. However at the same time it still maintains its Rolls elegance and beauty. Deffo a weird mix
🐶The guy stood by the Subaru in the Scooby-Doo costume...his face was priceless when Hammond just walked past him 🤣😅🤣😅🤣
Trying way too hard.
I absolutely did not expect that, that was hilarious
I think it was built for drifting .
I looked for this comment haha week done mate and yes priceless
“825 horses, look at it now while it’s still the same shape”😂😂
Mustangs main failure is the Nut holding the steering wheel
The little Proton at 1:55 is mine!
😎
I was looking for this comment from an owner 😅😂
The growing crowd behind Hammond as the video goes makes me laugh; this was a fun one. lots of great, well loved cars in that car park! If it looks like it's been driven, any flaws (rust, peeling paint, etc) is automatically forgiven. Some are just meant to be driven and outside!
I really liked that. Zero car snobbery and a great mix of classic, everyday & unusual cars. All equally appreciated. Top stuff Richard.
Respect from Malaysia to the one that had the Proton Satria! Kudos to you, whoever you are 🎉
Love to see a longer version of just this
more of these please...the candid commentary, not scripted walkabout is pure gold...
That murdered out Rolls...that has to be my favourite...wonder if he's set it up for drifting ?
Not everything has to have a purpose.
Looks more setup for drag racing tbh.
Jez, hammond and James are national treasures to the UK car world. Love them
Top Gear in the later episodes with them became parody though. I'm no fan of the "new" top gear; your trio's staged stunts ruined the show for me though
It warms my heart to see so many cars parked properly! (Reversed!). Well done all who attended, I hope to be among you next time!
So chuffed to see my Granada in this video 😊 Glad you liked it Richard, even if its 'ruined' 😅
5:06 As a 70s Beetle owner, this brings me so much joy haha!
Absolutely made my day, that’s my little red fiesta with the bent bonnet 😂😭 it’s Called Elmo 😂
It must be weird being Richard Hammond, being followed by all those zombies all the time.
I loved the show when I was there. I brought my Trabant there and a few people loved it. Thanks for making this happen. cant wait for the next one. :)
Spotted your Trabant. Had to have a look at it . Remember Guy Martin racing one.
where do you get to know about where and when the next show will be
As someone from East Germany I'm not surprised only a few people loved it, appalling cars that they were. You keep a spare tie in your boot in case the fan belt dissolves like back in the day? :D
With the swagger "Show us what ya got!" and a smirk...great way to end it. Wish I had something worth turning up in (and I could make it there from NYC)
2:42 in the words of AdamC: "vent that doesn't vent"
Hammond in a carpark with interesting cars is like walking your dog in a new neighbourhood.
This is what being a car enthusiast is all about--being enthusiastic about cars of all shapes, sizes, speeds, condition, etc. - bravo :)
Glad to hear the Hamster has had a change of heart regarding the Beetle.
My mate went past the crowd and just went up to Hammond after recording saying “say hello to my mate Bertie” and Hammond being a legend did exactly that! Was an amazing day there at Haynes and was lovely to meet Mike Fernie again ( hope the crankshaft is done ) and missed meeting Richard this time.. but thanks for putting on the show!
A very sweet video. I love RH just burbling about the cars there.
I'm glad he mentioned the Beetle. He's really ragged on them in various episodes of things. I drive a stock 1972 SuperBeetle, I was wondering how he'd react.
He should take this on the road. Go to various places in the world; the USA in particular. I'd bring my Beetle many hundreds of miles and pay to get in to a random car show to have Richard Hammond give it the car-journalist once-over and chat with him for a minute about it.
Thanks Richard! Love what you do!
The slowly increasing crowd makes me smile
Why? I find it weird, bunch of strangers following the man about. I've seen a few famous people before I just leave them alone.
@@18T220 because of the impact the trio had on the world is insane and that was just a small portion of people who have been affected, honestly if it wasn't for James May pushing for this channel for example it would probably not be on my radar.
Exactly. They're making me uncomfortable just watching this.@@18T220
The three coolest cars in that video:
#1) the slammed Rolls Royce
#2) the black Ford Anglia
#3) the patina Ford Granada
The smart car sweeps this list
@@sujalshetty5986 if i built that car, I would go back in time and tell my past self not to build it.
The hero we want but do not deserve
I'm happy to hear that Hammond likes the Volkswagen Beetle. Such an enjoyable little car us Brazilians love.
I'm still rewatching The Grand Tour, Top Gear😊
"You've given it gullwings, you pillock" 😂😂😂
They cut the rest of the conversation I had with him 😂
I really appreciate that, while May and Clarkson have moved on to other types of work (and they're doing very well), Hammond is still sticking to cars! More of this please!
1:03 "look at it now while it's still the same shape." Best comment to 800 HP mustang lolz.😅
A great idea! Any of the three just talking cars is a guaranteed hit! I’d love to see more like these!
Don’t have a car but I’ll happily roast other ppls cars 😂
That was a great day out, lots of different cars. Some to swoon over and others to....eye roll at 😆 Richard Hammond still loves his cars. Roll on the next one 👍
Love this. Would also love to see all 3 of them walk it together.
I never get this. Whenever one of them does anything, there's always someone who says the other two should be there too. There's hundreds if not thousands of hours of Top Gear/Grand Tour footage where they're doing stuff together and they're still making Grand Tour content. They should be allowed to do things individually too.
Walked past my Twin Turbo V8 Ford focus as if it wasn’t there 👀
I expected at least a “what an idiot” 😆
Walked past my focus RS too and mine was at the start of the row 😂🤣
I had the quirky 1990 Trabant 601s but he got distracted by the police standing by the Subaru's. There always next time for him to see it tho. :)
Same goes for my R17 - was distracted by the beige Granada 😂
That's a V8? Mustang one I guess? Insane. I love how that Focus looks, shane that the ST looks plain, the RS is rare and expensive and ULEZ charges increase the cost of owning it.
Richard checking out the cars while everyone else checking him out
Not usually a fan of modified cars but that Roller is flipping awesome!
I had to pause the vid at the beginning with that old school VW. My first watercooled car was a 1981 Scirocco S.. and I named it the Silverhornet (Pink Panther) and I was a VW tech for 20 years so I love the old school VDubs.
That was mine! Thanks for appreciating it!
6:03 I love this one
We need more of this content.😂
1:53 PROTON LETS GOOOOO
Hammond looks like the Pied Piper with his little followers behind him lol
Hammond admitting to like the beetle is totally unexpected
this is so relaxing, we need more!
This was delightfully entertaining and brought some genuine smiles to my face. Please, more of these...and maybe with the other two salty blokes making appearances as well 😉🤣
Daddy / daughter bonding at its best!! Love it!
5:53 That's a real live, caught on camera double take when he saw the Smart x Delorean. You dont get a lot of those lol.
Enjoyed this a lot!
3:02
Oh do they now? lol
I love this new series!
Nice to see the builds over there, lots more little sports cars I love it
"Can't argue with a Subaru, they all work" whos gonna tell him haha 2:59
EJ head gasket has entered the chat
One guy I’d love to meet out the trio of clarkson Hammond and may is Hammond. The genuine love of all cars is special
"It's completely stock standard Officer..."😄
SCOOBY DOO?!?! 😭
I've seen the rolls in person, it definitely has a strong presence about it
The eunos 30x right in the ending cut tho, theyre a rare gem these days, absolute blast to drive for such an unsung car in the communities.
I like to think when Hammond just pops to his local supermarket that he does a circuit of the car park providing his analysis of the cars parked there at the time!
Can we have a Hammond Roasts Cars On Tour please
That Firebird is a mix of several cars
I was thinking the same thing. 77 backend, totally different front. Guess you use what you have when you're across the pond from parts.
Always nice to watch Hammond star man !!! 👍🏻🏴
This is a great video. There was a recent video of Jeremy and Harry just talking about Land Rovers for 20 minutes, also great. The best content from these guys is them just casually looking at cars and casually talking about cars.
That blacked out Rolls is absolutely brilliant!
That was a lovely little walk around
Whoever did that Roller, you deserve a biscuit.
I was there, driving the only Saab at the event, great day out meeting Mike was great (more importantly seeing the 620ti ).
4:55 That Focus looks amazing.
That rolls Royce really cool 😂
It was really nice in person, I was parked just down on the other side
the rolls is crazy, so cool
1:54 OH AH PROTON!!!
Absolutely outstanding
Sir you’ve not had enough time to watch more than 1 minute of this video
I was at the October Haynes Coffee walk and the real standout was a twin engined Mini Cooper. Loved it. The LeMans Gulf inspired Porsche Taycan was also pretty cool (if you like that sort of thing). A great morning out bettered improved by having bacon roll and wander around The Newt (just up the road).
the black Rolls, brilliant. The orange Pontiac, also brilliant
That Rolls is amazing!
1:56 Hammond's "secret" american coming out again x3
I was hoping you might leave a "Get 50% off a paint job" voucher on my Renault 17 😂
I love how his posse keeps growing like the end of Buckaroo Banzai
Spotted a smart sport roadster. Extra cool
Thank you, that one is mine.
What a great vid! Love the pontiac
I love it. Event was fantastic and even our Rolls-Royce been approved by Richard Hammond🙏 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loving the love for the Roller and the Mk1 Granada both cars I have owned!
If he's ever bored Richard should just set aside a whole day to do this properly for all the cars that show up.
'L' Plates on a proper Jag?
😮 RESPECT 😅 🙌
2:04 Hammond, you idiot! You should have left your business card under a windscreen wiper!
If I brought my car over from the U.S. to this event and Richard Hammond walked by it, he would fall over unconscious due to boredom. It's a silver 2000 Honda Accord DX (base model), completely unmodified. The only thing it has going for it is the manual transmission. Quite unusual for the U.S. But the car is incredibly reliable.
1:55 - A surviving Proton in the UK! I bet it's one of the last of its kind.
Last time I checked there's about 150 of these compacts / satrias left on UK roads, most being of the GTi variant. The car is the video is a 1.6 SRi 10th anniversary edition, 1 of 2 still on the roads. (I'm the owner btw 😏).
That blacked out roller.... 😂
This is what i call a roast (unlike May's roast). You must do a video of Hammond Roasting motorbikes next. And yes i know, that this mostly a car based channel, but you let Hammond do a motorbike related video once before.
love this kind of vid
We can forgive the beetle, as long as the marina still gets the piano.
That rolls is awesome
my mates proton!!! Awesome
"Thats heroic... for getting here" poor Pontiac 😂
Absolutely love that Rolls Royce. Just completely badass.
i could watch this all day, Hammond roaming around car shows judging and talking about cars
That Proton..💯💯
