    Excellent video again brother. I am surprised at how people could not like these considering the many other attachments out there that do a fraction of what these do, but have a stronger acceptance in the home gym world.

      They're definitely getting more recognition now that companies are improving them. I guess I was a little "ahead of the curve" in that sense in seeing what they were truly capable of. Much easier to see the use for them when the adjustability is built right in.

    I trust your opinion especially since you've always loved lever arms. Which would you buy Rogue's with Vendetta and maybe Gym Pin for side to side, Griffin, Crandall Fitness (my favorite so far for value), PRX Halo Arms? Do you think Kaizen is right that you need better handles and weight horn on top for better resistance curve?

    I tied my angle 90s to the lever arms handles. Its been helpful for getting some different lifting grips in during my workout.

    I recently bought a pair of screwlock jammer arms, but the ones I bought are much shorter and perhaps better for body-building purposes
    I think for chest and row variations adding band resistance helps the strength curve enormously particularly at the start of the movement, but for shoulder press and trap/shrug/deadlift movements where it's mainly an up and down resistance path I feel this is where these shine on their own

    You sold me on lever arms with your first couple of videos. Since then I've ordered a rack (REP PR-5000) and pre-ordered the REP Ares 2.0 cable attachment. I'm dead set on having my cable system and lever arms peacefully co-exist with one another as ordained by the training gods. NOW I JUST NEED TO FIND THE RIGHT LEVER ARMS. Had my heart set on the PRx Halo Arms but they released them without the integrated pulley option. So now I'm waiting on Bulletproof to release their "RIP to jammer arms" that they teased back in February.

      Man, I have no idea what's coming from Bulletproof, but I am VERY interested to see. They just came out and announced yesterday that a lot more info would be dropping soon. I actually preordered the VTS to add to my rack (to add smith machine capabilities) and I'm excited to see how I can set that up to double as a cable pulley to use with these lever arms

      Happy to help! I've been playing around with them for years now and it definitely takes a lot of trial and error. The simplest movement like rows can feel terrible until you get the right angle. Since the path is so strict considering you're restricted to the specific lever length, you've gotta get it right. But once you do, it's worth it!

    Thanks Matt. I bought the BOS cable towers and lever arms after watching your reviews a year ago. I do agree that this set up has so much potentials, but it is not without limitations. I have a smaller body size, and the width between lever arms are a few inches too wide. I feel like I need to over extend my arms to grasp the handles of lever arms. Another issue is the set up time. It takes too long to set up the lever arms for each exercise. I hate to waste an extra few minutes to set it up for one exercise and then another few minutes for the next exercise.
    Other than that, they are great with BOS cable towers. At home, I can do exercises that I used to do only at gyms.
    Highly recommend lever arms to people who have bigger (like Matt) body sizes.

      I think I'll add stickers to my rack and jammer and number the holes and make a list of exercises with the optimum hole number combo to save time.

    I've got lever arms for my T-3, and the Vendetta trolley on order. I think there's some nice features but as I'm watching what you're doing with them, most of that can be done more easily and cheaply with a barbell and loadable dumbbell. Heck, a friend of mine even uses his barbell as a pullup bar.
    I do, personally, like the independent arm motion you get with the lever arms, which is why I got a set for my garage.

      I don't disagree that you can do every single one of these exercises with just a barbell or dumbbell. It's a matter of preference, as is anything with a home gym. When I was going to a commercial gym, I would always start with a major lift and utilize barbell work, but I also loved doing accessory work afterwards with machines. If you workout in a similar way and value machines, lever arms are a perfect addition.
      Of course if money is a concern, you can absolutely do without lever arms. But if you can afford them and you enjoy machine work, I can't recommend them enough.

      @@MattRosenman Thanks for your response, yeah I'm eager to use mine more once the trolley comes in. Right now adjusting them is just enough of a pain that I don't use them much. I do like machines and, if I'm being honest, I'm an engineer and just like doing fun things with levers. Your videos about using the arms creatively are inspiring.

    Very informative and well explained. Thank you for sharing this. I'm currently in the process of buying a squat rack and adding lever arms to it. The thing is, in Europe it's really had to buy the "Vendetta" add-on. The key concept here is to be able to lock the levers into the correct start position, that's what would make it great. Freemotion has a lever arm with built-in swivel and lock mechanics, but again, not available in Europe. I envy you.... :P

    Excellent video! I just recently discovered your channel and decided to subscribe because of your ingeniousness with the lever arms. They're just so versatile, it's amazing. I also got aware of the slander against lever arms lately and was slightly discouraged at first, but now I'm sold on them again. There are some new lever arms now that also have the ability to swivel sideways freely or lock them in different horizontal positions, but after your video I think the standard lever arms with the Vendetta adapters are really everything you need. On a side note, I really like the "not-so-professional" look on your videos, it's really refreshing in between all the other shiny over-edited glam-gym videos. Keep up the good work!

      Haha, thank you! It's funny because I really wish I could make those "professional" videos, but I really only care about the content. I'll edit to the best of my ability but clearly this is not what I do for a living so it's never going to be one of those high-budget productions. But hey, I'm glad that resonates!
      As far as lever arms- I do love the idea of the Gym Pin adapters to allow the lever arms to swivel sideways, but I haven't found that necessary. Some machines have converging paths so if you wanted to mimic that more natural range of motion I could see the ability, but I've always been keen to using machines with a fixed path (hammer strength chest press, shoulder press, etc), so I haven't felt the need to mess with that.

      @@MattRosenman It really shows that you care about the content and imo that's what counts the most. I also think that most of those high budget productions are really stressful to watch because of the high-paced in-your-face editing, so I really enjoy your more down-to-earth approach :)
      Also thanks for your thoughts on the Gym Pin Adapters, it's really cool that there are always new innovations increasing the functionality of the lever arms. If you need the additional versatility, that's what everyone has to decide for themselves.
      I wonder If you've already tried to connect your lever arms to the pulley system on your rack, that may help with the resistance problem on some exercises. But I think there's fewer exercises you can do with that setup instead of usual weight plates and you will most likely need a specific rack where the cable is routed from the bottom.

      I still have the Bells of Steel lever arms that I'll attach to my cable towers and use on occasion. Specifically, I love it for exercises I can't do with regular lever arms, like high rows where I need the arm to start in an inverted position at the top of the rack. Unfortunately I can't connect these lever arms to the cables because the weight stack tower is built too wide and it blocks the cable from moving smoothly.

    I hated mine until I added the Vendetta adapters, now I use them everyday. I do all of these exercises except I add bands with the freeweights. The bands help stableise the arms, and the bands alow for overhead pulldowns 🏋‍♂️

    I already love lever arms. I use it for hack squats, ohp, car deadlifts, belt squats, incline press, and rows. They aren’t a do all attachment but very versatile if you are creative in your programming.
    Vendetta’s definitely recommended as it makes setup so much faster.

      Totally get that. The vendetta adapters, while pricey, absolutely changed everything for me. Regular lever arms can be a pain in the ass when you setup for an exercise only to realize you need to move them up or down just one single hole, then you have to take the weight off and rerack everything. The adapters turn a 5 minute process into about 5 seconds.

    On the row, try putting a band peg and then a rogue shorty band. The resistance is freakin awesome

      I can give it a shot! I've found that if I go at a slight angle it works decently well, but maybe I'll give the band a shot. I've tried resistance bands in the past but it was with my old setup and admittedly I didn't really take it seriously haha. So, I'll definitely try it again

    They are not called jammer arms nor lever arms. They are called useless arms. Kidding, LOL. People dislike them because setting them up for a movement can be a pain in the ass.

      Not with these. I still have the Bells of Steel lever arms that I connect to my pulley towers, but the cables don't work with these arms on the opposing side of the rack. If I still only have plate loaded towers it would likely work, but the weight stack pulley tower comes out too wide (to accommodate the width of the weight stack) so any cable or chain running across to attach to the lever arms on the opposing side gets caught and doesn't move smoothly. It's tough to articulate the issue, but trust me, I've tried to make it work!

      I'm still trying to find my groove on here. Candidly I really enjoy home gym content because it's fun for me to have conversations with the community and help where I can. Snack reviews are fun to do, but the views are typically so low and most the comments are from people vehemently disagreeing with my takes, so it's not nearly as fulfilling 😆 Everyone once in a while I'll throw them out there if it's a huge drop (like the Ghost cereal) but otherwise I'm mostly going to be doing snack review write-ups on proteinsnackfinder.com

      For sure I love that! Unfortunately these lever arms don't work with my cables anymore because the weight stack interferes with the pulley coming all the way across the pulley tower + rack, but I'll still attach my old BoS lever arms to the pulley towers for that exact reason

      I actually have it set up where when I step into the gym it goes completely dark, and then the lights come on after I leave. I've found that it's ideal for content creation.

    I have a titan x3 flat foot rack and I just got titan lever arms. And went to use them to do chest press and it almost tipped my whole rack down. Jammer arms were attached to the outside. 90lbs on each side. Went to do chest press and luckily the top of the ceiling stopped the rack from falling forward. I can't find anything about using jammer arms on a flat foot rack.

      Do you have weight storage on the rack? I used to have the X3 with a stack lat pulldown attachment plus 500lbs of weights stored on it, so not an inch moved.

    Lever arms are awesome! I don’t get the hate from the home gym community on them! But every loves a leg press that cost more and takes up way more space. And only does 1 exercises

    I just need one to for a force usa g15 machine. 16mm holes and a 50mm frame. Other than having to pay £899 for a package, you can't buy them individually.

      The basic bells of steel lever arms should work for that, no? They're made for a 60mm rack with just under 16mm holes, so they should fit no problem, you might just need to get a little creative to limit any wobble from the small amount of extra space bellsofsteel.us/products/lever-arms-handles#aid=matt

    I’m thinking of building a home gym and have been looking to get lever arms. What I find interesting is there seem to be two pro-camps. One that likes to use them like machines (as you do) and those who use them to build explosiveness (what I’m more interested in). Just an observation I’ve made.
    BTW, your old lighting was better for videos but I see the appeal of a darker environment.

      On the lighting: I absolutely agree 😆 I won't film in the dark again. It's fun for workouts, but not great for filming.
      And yes, you're right on the lever arms. They were initially created strictly for explosiveness, specifically for use in athletics (especially on college campuses). But the home gym community is very creative and always looking for ways to maximize their space, so it has forced companies to evolve and adapt to the different uses. Luckily if explosiveness is what you're after, you can keep the setup simple and you don't necessarily need the bells and whistles of the adapters.

      @@MattRosenman yes, I have seen some unique applications for these. One guy put spotter arms on them and put the plates on the ends of the spotter arms. I think it was his solution to the weightless bottom problem you referenced in the video. Puts the weight out front so gravity is pulling it down while you’re pushing it forward. As you said, creative community.

      Yep, I've seen that too. That seems like a good solution IF you have a go-to exercise and setup that you know it going to work. Otherwise moving that entire setup around will become a pain

      Yeaaaah I do unfortunately! In one of my past videos you can see a stink bug crawling up my rack and going into one of the holes 😅 I'm not bothered by them, so I let it slide. If you have unfinished basement, you'll either have to look into putting up drywall or looking into some hacks like spraying vinegar in your basement (at least I think that's one of the hacks... don't quote me on that)

      It's always a matter of preference, but I'd still probably opt for cables first. While jammer arms offer a ton of unique uses, cables are pretty unmatched in terms of versatility.

    Jammer Arms have incorrect weight shifting lever and that is their problem
    at the bottom of the movement the load is almost zero and at the top it is the highest
    for pressing movements muscle tension curve is forced in the wrong pattern
    in a home gym they are also very annoying to set up right and take to much time
    it is much better to use dumbbells or barbells for the same movements

    the idea of jammer arm is great, but the brand is the problem, you a jammer arm that moves side to side as well PRx seems to be your best option

      The prx ones seem great, but I’ve been following that situation very closely and would have a tough time supporting them (if you go to Garage Gym Reviews you can see a summary of what’s been going on if you have no idea what I mean)
