    Having a bad back for many years I’ve kinda given up lifting heavy dumbbells. Tossing up 70-80-90-100 lb dumbbells suck if you’ve got some back issues or shoulder issues. With the vendetta and the kaizen adapters it’s very easy to mimic dumbbell movements in various positions without stressing your low back and shoulders to get them in position. Great products. If you could pick only one-I agree vendetta first. Thanks for all the great reviews.

      I am the same way after training/competing in bodybuilding for so many years, I can not throw up heavy dumbbells for shoulder or or incline chest press anymore. I purchased those spotter arm brackets that you can place the dumbbells in on your power rack and to be honest they actually work really well and save my shoulders. (yea they can be a pain in the ass setting up and placing the dumbbells in the brackets, but it is worth it.). I am looking forward to getting my Vendetta adapters. in the next few weeks.

  • @baezmd
    @baezmd ปีที่แล้ว +17

    The Vendetta’s for the REP ISO Arms are a HUGE upgrade in functionality. In this video we only saw the Rogue version which is very good. But the amount of functionality on the REP is a lot. The factory brackets are cumbersome and VERY HEAVY making them a workout within the workout, with the Vendetta’s is very easy to slide up and down with a smooth trolley system, and can be locked in more angles compared to the Rogue ones. I’ve had it for a few weeks after reaching out to Britton and fortunately he had an extra pair from the prior batch, I got them and boy what a difference does it make.
    The Gym Pin I’ve been thinking of it but as Coop said, if I had a choice (and I did) get the Vendetta’s first. I’m VERY pleased with the product and the service

      @baezmd- That's great, I also have the Rep ISO arms but can be a pain in the ass setting them up for a specific list such as shoulder Press or Chest Press. I have to alway's set up my Spotter arms and then have the ISO arms rest on top of them as a fixed position. I ordered a pair from Britton a few weeks ago after waiting for about 3 months (Sold out). He stated I should receive mine sometime in August. I just hope they don't interfere too much with my Ares Functional trainer on my Power Rack.

    • @baezmd
      @baezmd ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@raps7027 those brackets make a difference of night and day in terms of functionality. Is like you just got a new pair of them that actually work. My rack is an 80” tall, I assume that the interference with the Athena or Area is relative to one’s height, I’m thinking about getting one of those but still not decided yet. Let me know how it works for you. Is your rack an 80” too?

    • @Salveo-
      @Salveo- ปีที่แล้ว

      @@raps7027 I have the Vendetta arms on my Ares 93" rack. They work well but will limit how low you can drop the front pulleys. So if you are doing low pulley movements off the front of the rack, just know that the lowest position of the front pulleys will be about a foot or so up from the floor. Another thing to mention, the bolts that hold the Vendetta to the rack will rub against the Ares cable as you slide the trolly up and down. Not a huge problem but could introduce premature wear on the cable. I had some left over UHMW tape that I put on the nut where it comes into contact with the cable. Seems to help

    Given the base cost of jammer arms, especially the Rogue arms, I think these add-ons are priced well. The Kaizen adapters in particular are much bigger and beefier when you see them in person versus just seeing them online. As with all things jammer arms, if you take the time to figure out setups you like they can be very versatile and a good option. I also think that people sometimes forget that they were really designed and built for ballistic type movements, not to replicate Hammer Strength machines. However, these adapters do go along way to making them more useful for those other types of movements.
    I'd also love to see a review on the opposite side of the spectrum of something like the Signature Fitness Lever Arms. They're $130 for a 2"x2" free motion lever arm that can attach to any 3"x3" rack with a 5/8", 3/4", or 1" hole (though you need a separate adapter to get a tighter fit on the bigger hole racks). They don't have any of the locking features, but for $130 they could be a good option for someone that wants to try out lever arms before dropping 10x that on the Rogue version.

Would any components be missing? I'm thinking this would get pretty close but unclear on how the vendetta adapters connect to the rack? Without a doubt adjustable dumbbells first. That’s what I did. But both will work differently, you get more isolation with the lever than with the dumbbells, but dumbbells will give you a compound approach to smaller muscles. Dumbbells are higher on the totem pole by far in terms of versatility. Nevertheless if you already have the jammer arms (in my case REP ISO) it adds the functionality to make the workout faster and more precise, the vendetta’s are a very good addition. As a matter of fact for the REP ISO Arms the impact of using the vendetta’s is higher since you not only get the ability to slide the arms with the ease but also to lock them in position. But to your point…. Dumbbells first FOR SURE!

    Thx for this one Coop! Now I’m curious about the pros/cons of having a vendetta/arms on the front of the rack as the same time as REP’s Athena/Ares trolleys. Also can you share any details on those knurled handle shafts and the adapters they’re attached to please

    • @samrmills
      @samrmills ปีที่แล้ว

      I see those are probably from the rogue articulating handles kit….Haha add another $500. Yikes that’s pushin $2000 after shipping/taxes for everything shown for something most won’t use to their full ability. I’ve had lever arms before but the vendetta/kaizen combo is a game changer for lever arms only

    Other question I have - would putting lever arms on an ares hurt the functionality of either? I don't think it would hurt the arms if they tucked up tight to the ares trolleys, but could see losing functionality of the functional trainer trolleys in the low position if jammer arms lived on your rack

    • @Salveo-
      @Salveo- ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, they do limit the functionality of the Ares. It's a trade off like anything, I use the low pulleys in the back of the Ares to compensate.

    Love adding versatility to my Jammer arms, don't see a lot in the market for articulating handles. There's Rogue's AH-1 kit and RORMAN STRENGTH-Megalith Handles, both that allow a more natural travel path vs the curve you get from the fixed lever arm plane. I am not sure if Rogue's will fit with the jammer arms rotated post-Kaizen Gym Pin install, and Rorman's is sold out. Is there anything else on the market? Any help is appreciated.

    The question is who is this product for? People who primarily train body-building at home. These attachments make a Jammer a viable replacement for all the Hammer Strength Press and Pull machines. Vs actually buying the individual machines these are really cost effective.

    Hey Coop, how difficult/easy is the vendetta trolley to attach to the upright? I have a rep rack with the Athena system, so I couldn’t leave the vendetta on there and still use the Athena. I’d have to attach and remove the trolleys every time I used the iso arms.

    I can't wrap my head around the cost. The Rogue jammer arms were way overpriced anyway, but chuck in the adapters and you're around $1800 BEFORE shipping! Meanwhile, the GLS jammer arms from Primal strength in the UK have all the same functionality with the exception of the locked convergence position of the Kaizen adaptors for a little over the equivalent of $600 shipped to my door!

    For the Gym Pin adapters, do they allow you to lock them into a plain of motion, or do the just make them free floating? I’d like to use them for converging chest press, but I specifically like a Hammer Strength matching because the fixed plain allows me to really grind out the final reps.

      I will find out in a few weeks when I receive mine, however I reached out to Britton (owner of Vendetta) and he stated they were adaptable with the Ares. You just have to slide the the Ares to the top when using the Jammer arms. If I slide the cable to the bottom you may be correct about the cable being in the way? Not actually sure how that will work for me? But I feel I can do most exercises with the Ares on the top out of the way.
