    I'm at the intermediate level you mentioned, renting space but I stopped training full time. Thankfully, the owner agreed to rent space to thorn fitness, not Alex Thorn. So my 2 trainers that come in for me and train are covered by the monthly rent and counted as one entity

      @@FitProVR Geez, I'm so sorry to hear that. Seriously. I want to start my own thing but just afraid of failing and losing money. But I do hope wherever life has taken you now, that you're doing the best you can ♥️

      @@keonj yeah all good, we managed to get a ton of loans from feds but it just wasn’t enough. Luckily we basically broke even. I’m glad i did it but will never EVER do it again. It was way too stressful and the market was too unstable.

    So I have a passion for boardsports like surfing /skating but I also enjoy the aesthetics of having a fit body.. I want to influence people but also strength train

      You could def combine to two in a creative way.
      For instance: train people specifically to get better at boardsports. ( this one's basic but just an example)

    I want to train people to lift, to eat better and understand why they are eating in a new way, I want to have access to a gym and have them moving outdoors. I have a method it works and I'm in the process of getting certified. I have a goal to leave my teaching job in a year so I can study for my certification but I want to start a business not work for a gym. Ny goal is to make more than I make now not switch fields to make the same or less.

    Thx for this video. Very appreciative. One burning question is, at what point do you start to use FB ads? And then, do you create your ads only to capture emails, or will you create an LBO after you have the 'know, like, trust' factor?

    What is a "no-compete" agreement and does every gym offer that?

    • @baldheadedassassin
      @baldheadedassassin 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its an agreement some businesses have you sign when you're first employed which says that you agree to not take the clients that they have to use as your own personal clients to gain an income. Meaning you aren't "competing" against them.

    I'm a big fan of yours, been in the industry for over 12 years, as a successful business owner. But my apologies I do not agree with your comment on "Building your Business in someone's else's gym" Now you know that's wrong. I started from the bottom and I don't do to others what I wouldn't like done to me. I'm sorry

      He’s not talking about taking that gyms clients he’s taking his that he built. The difference between between being an employee vs renting the space to train your own clients of course your going to take your clients with you when you move. No bad business there and no bad karma.

    Leave your commercial gym where you’re not keeping all the money paying around £500 p/m & doing other jobs outside your expertise such as cleaning equipment & other odd jobs to find a place to start your own fitness business where you’ll be responsible for rent, business rates, bills, marketing, customer service, cleaning, buying or renting equipment where you again won’t be keeping anywhere near as much money as you’re charging & you’ll also be doing every other job that isn’t what you’re an expert at 😂

    • @gokalifestyle
      @gokalifestyle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can be an independent trainer and use an independent gym to train clients. You just ad the independent gyms fee on top of your rate, so you don’t “lose money”.

    Fitness is the new old fad. Soooo many want to start a fitness business with nooo funds while people want to get fit with nooo money. No gym needed anymore with the thousands of videos and self help tips on the tube. Too many suppliments and useless tips in the fitness world. Push ups sit ups and a few other exercises are all thats needed and now ppl have videos on how to make your own gym equipment. Zumba and aerobics classes are the big sellers be warned.
