- This is one of the very first 2024 BMW X7 builds. I show how to do an automatic parking in a tricky garage. It also has the new highway assistant feature that I will review shortly.

If you ordered the parking assistance package on the x5. It should have this capability.
Hi man, so whenever I try to enter the garage, the recording stops, maybe due to an obstacle. Does it matter if the car backs towards the garage or facing matters? I have an easy garage to enter; it just gets tight as the car enters. Both mirror areas are clear. 24 x7 here.
It shouldn't matter if it faces forwards or backwards. The key is to record a consistent path without obstacles close by. You may have to record a second one with a different steering angle. Mine works flawlessly 99% of the time, unless one of the other cars is too close...then it stops due to obstacle. I have also recorded a separate one for night time. Hope this helps.

For some reason my recorded path stops the minute I enter my garage. It doesn’t finish the recorded parking I have saved. Have you experienced this at all?
I have recorded separate ones for daytime and night time. It also stops for obstacles. I have not noticed this. You may want to delete and try recording again.

Yes its great. Smells really good, even after 2 months.
Very cool feature. How is the brake feel? I test drove an X5 a couple of years ago and the brakes felt super touchy and hard to modulate for me. Thx, enjoy!
Thank you for your comment. Honestly, I have not noticed any issues with the brake feel. I'll pay more attention. Bmw brakes are generally very sensitive...guess I am used to it.
@@carminered3229 I found it noticeable in stop and go traffic, but I guess owners get used to it. Thx.
You don't have to be a test pilot to get used to them in the first drive - just a couple of minutes of time logged until you are just as smooth as any other car.
how about the reverse of parking? can we get the car out to where i am from the parking spot? starting by itself and follow me / come to kind of feature?
Yes, you can do it using the phone app as a remote control.

So in this garage entry n exit, you used two path recordings?
@@carminered3229I thought it would take the path 1 recording n reverse calculate to reverse / take out the car from the garage back to point A, where you initiated the recording,.
