The bloke is an Australian cross-dressing wrestler called Lady Beard. I think he had to leave this group for visa reasons (?) but formed another group with a female wrestler (Deadlift Lolita I think they were called). I think I read that the producer of Ladybaby said he had formed the group to try to follow on in the footsteps of Babymetal's success. The two girls carried on for a while, then one of them left, the one that stayed was joined by three more girls and I think they have broken up now ... and I don't know much more at all.
I provided slightly more info in my comment. I've never heard of a specific producer responsible for LadyBaby (in the same sense as Koba is producer of BabyMetal).
I know of HAJIMETAL, he has written and produced quite a few songs for LadyBaby and is also the keyboard player of their backing band, THE CHAOS. While HAJIMETAL has been LadyBaby's long time collaborator ever since "Nippon Manju", I am not aware that HAJIMETAL was guiding the creative direction of LadyBaby in the same manner that Koba has creative control of BabyMetal.
Unfortunately, LadyBaby's parent company, ClearStone, did not do a good job managing their talent and I believe ClearStone is responsible for LadyBaby's likely permanent hiatus.
I suspect that quitting the band was the only way for the girls to get out of what is probably a nightmare contract with ClearStone. ClearStone owns the LadyBaby trademark, so they can restart the band with different members. But I hope the 4 girls of LadyBaby (Rie, Fuka, Nana and Emily) regroup and keep on performing under a new name.
@@lennyg47 Thanks, that was pretty much the sum of my knowledge of Ladybaby and I wasn't entirely sure about the producer which was why I said "I think I read ..." (as I did think I read it somewhere, but I couldn't remember when or where and it may have been about their management/parent company rather than a specific producer ... in your own comment you have explained what I had probably read but that I had remembered incorrectly where you said "When BabyMetal started becoming popular in Japan, 2012-2013, LadyBaby was created by a costume company to capitalize on the sudden popularity of the kawaii metal genre.").
this band is so awesome and that guy wearing that outfit made his a true wrestler thats all i know hahaha nc reaction my friend
So, you discovered LadyBaby. Good job. First, sad news. Literally last month LadyBaby performed their final concert. Next, some history and context. LadyBaby has gone through several member changes. What you saw in this video is the 1st version of LadyBaby. When BabyMetal started becoming popular in Japan, 2012-2013, LadyBaby was created by a costume company to capitalize on the sudden popularity of the kawaii metal genre. However, a costume company has no effin clue how to manage musical artists. They put together a group made up of two Japanese Idols, Rie Kaneko and Rei Kuromiya with LadyBeard, a cross-dressing Australian pro-wrestler (real name Richard Magarey) whose wrestling persona is a 5 year old girl who likes to wear frilly dresses and DESTROY! Rie and Rei sang and LadyBeard provided the metal growl vocals and their musical style was called kawaii core. Their first song/video, "Nippon Manju", a sort of tourism promotion for Japan, went viral on TH-cam and they made a bunch more songs. Then sad news, LadyBeard was forced to leave LadyBaby due to an issue with his work visa. He went back to Australia to sort things out. In the meantime, Rie and Rei continued as a duo under their new group name "The Idol Formerly Known As LadyBaby" (inspired by Prince). They made a bunch more songs, and couple years later, again sad news, Rei Kuromiya left LadyBaby due to personal issues (allegedly management (the costume company) insisted that she perform a live show when she was having throat health problems). I don't know the details, but Rei left to join her sister in a band called Brats. In the meantime, LadyBeard returned to Japan and started a new band called Deadlift Lolita with fellow pro-wrestler and Muscle Idol Reika Saiki (more about this later). Finally, Rie Kaneko (the only remaining original member of LadyBaby) re-formed the group with 3 new girls, Fuka Karasawa (singer), Nana Ikeda (rapper) and Emiri (Emily The Screamer) Arima. They also changed the band name back to LadyBaby. While I love all LadyBaby songs, the consensus is that this 3rd version of LadyBaby produced the most interesting and higher quality songs, while retaining the fun tongue-in-cheek-ness of their predecessors. I recommend all of LadyBaby songs. They are not making any new songs, so their entire catalogue of music is on TH-cam.
I also recommend Deadlift Lolita (the new band with LadyBeard and Reika Saiki) two pro-wrestlers singing about being fit and healthy. Link

And completely off topic, but I would like to request you check out a band called CHARAMEL which stands for Character Metal, and their song is called Charamel (it's autobiographical). This probably sounds confusing but it really is not. Song Charamel by band CHARAMEL. Here is a link

The song is in English, but luckily this video has English subtitles, trust me you'll need them.

One of Babymetal's Kami band members (IASO) has written music for Ladybaby. Fun fact of the day. LED LED LED!
Yes he was originally part of the band with the 2 girls. I do believe the band is different now. He does the growling. So beast!!! He used to wrestle in japan. He speaks japanese well too. Check out there other stuff. Crazy but fun!!!
He is just a nice little girl, trying to invite you to Japan while singing about places you should visit.
Ladybeard seems like an awesome guy in real life
Looooooool😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Didn`t realised you did a LadyBaby reaction in the past......Dude, I laughed my ass off @ your reaction!!! ^^ It´s one of my fav Tracks to shock PPL ;)
I`m now going to search U´r List wich Bands you did so far :)
BTW: This Song was made for the japanese Tourist Industry....I shit you not Mate - it was for a commercial why Japan is so great to visit! :)
This was their first formation, when they were supposed to be just a commercial to promote a clothing store and turism and japan. After that he left because of some problems with his visa. The second formation is just the two girls (you can check the song "pelo"). One of the girls didn't like the idol scene and left to create a band with her sister, called "BRATS". In 2018 the girl who was still in Ladybaby invited a girl to make part of the band and made auditions for two more spots. Their final formation was with 4 girls. They disbanded in January,13th this year. Check their last song "misogi island".
T-Mac! I just also realized you didn't have the English subtitles turned on. You must re-experience "Nippon Manju" with English subtitles. Trust me, everything will make absolutely perfect sense if you read the song lyrics. Do it!
L. E. D. :)
Lady baby it's a trip the first time you heard it. But they are good!! I am happy you got to them, listen to other songs please!!
Please do LadyBaby - "Renge Chance" which is the only legit metal about ramen.)
morozio
Oh YEAH!
🤘🏼🍜🍜🍜🍲🍲🤘🏼
every time I watch the MV for this song,
I get cravings for a bowl of good Ramen
Hahahaha YAAAA
There really isn't anything to "get". It's pretty much exactly what you're seeing. Giant Australian dude that could kick your ass in 3 languages and look insanely cute doing it performing metal growls alongside a couple of Japanese idol singers. That's about it.
About 6 years ago I seen this thumbnail in my suggestions! I clicked on it and was entertained! But...that's not the best part. Later I see this thumbnail for a band called BABYMETAL! Been into Japan and their music since. One of the Rei's formed a new band called Brats......straight up good stuff too.
Ladybaby worthy and admirably powered through some rough times post gimmicky Ladybeard. Their farewell song (recent) is impressively good and probably their best work: th-cam.com/video/9skz0syLM7g/w-d-xo.html
What I consider their best produced earlier work also good: th-cam.com/video/cBk6cH96Tbo/w-d-xo.html
Yes T-Mac you already react to this band but you done Starless Sky song
You really need to look at more from these. It's quality music. Particularly the later stuff.
Haha I love this React
haha look him up LadyBeard he a super nice guy from Australia and he was a pro wrestler in China and Japan.
I'm gonna miss this band T_T They just suspended their activities not too long ago. Yep he is mean, he is a wrestler and a cross dresser, you could see him in Deadlift Lolita, his current group band after he left Ladybaby.
Ladybeard is from Australia but live in Japan nowadays I think.
Hey hey Good reaction!!! This song talks more about promoting products from Japan ,no doubt at first when you listen to it is something shocking but somehow it is shocked to see a muscular man dancing with MAID clothes without a doubt something strange this is the old lady baby formed in March 2015 and interpreted by LADYBEARD the man and the girls laugh kaneko and rei kuromiya,. since lady beard and rei kuromiya left the band to make their own band also LADYBABY now joined 3 more members to form an idol group since only the old rie kaneko remains have band that debuted on May 31, 2015 they have pitifully good songs Not long ago, January 13, 2020, in their last video clip, they said they would end their band for their reasons that everyone will follow their own path and it is understandable since they still have credentials that it was no longer the same without ladybeard but Even so, go ahead, I think you should take the time to see their songs. I recommend RYOT ANTHEM, HATEN NI RAIMEI o their last song ISLAND
and the old LADYBABY could be MONEY MONEY AGE they are very entertaining and you might like it.
The Japanese word for Japan is 日本, which is pronounced Nihon or Nippon and literally means "the origin of the sun".
You probably heard: "land of the rising sun."
Is this the 'How many times can you needlessly pause the video' challenge?
Believe it or not, this video was made for a tourist bureau. Check out "The Idol Formerly Known as Ladybaby".
Even through the song definitely promotes Japan, I do not think it was actually commissioned by a tourism bureau. I believe that it was LadyBaby's parent company, ClearStone, which is a costume (cosplaying) company that intended to use (or maybe did use) the song in their promotional materials (which maybe explains why half the video is shot in garment and clothing shops.
Cool)
Debería ver los demas temas de ladybeard
Ladybaby would be really good if they were actually talented. I love the contrast between the male voice and the female voices and the metal/pop fusion.
Hey T-Mac can you do reaction video to BabyMetal at Music Dragon TV Show to see difrend site of girls btw this video have english sub title and its very fun to watch aslo react Wagakki band as soon as possible
