    I have a 2022 Wilderness and can give my 2 cents worth here. First, great video. I've had BMW X5, Audi Q4, Lexus RX. My Wilderness with roughly 30k miles on now knock on wood, has been the best vehicle I've owned for a couple of reasons. First, the all wheel drive system is very very good. Been through several snowstorms in Northern Vermont/Northeast, never once gotten stuck. If anything, I cannot count how many times I've literally driven past Jeep Grand Cherokees who were stuck (for whatever reason). Ground clearance is on par with a Toyota 4 Runner. Its comfortable, its quick out of the gate. Has all the bells and whistles I could ask for. Put rear seats down, plenty of room for bikes, skis, etc. Really anything. Finally, and i cant stress this enough, again coming off of several European cars, this car is very and I mean VERY easy to maintain. I havent had anything go wrong with it but things like tires, maintenance, relatively inexpensive to repair/replace compared to many others out there. Japanese build quality speaks for itself as well. I've been reading that Subaru will be coming out with a complete re design in 2025 of the Outback model lines so I'll be curious to see what improvements they launch. Subaru also appears to listen to their consumers on what we want, need in our vehicles and they put them in.

      Cant remember must be at least 6-7 years ago. I’m convinced, once you hit 70k miles on BMW’s someone in Germany presses a button and oil just starts leaking out of them. I’d never go back. Eyeing up the new Lexus GX Overtrail now which looks absolutely insane. Off road capability, Lexus fit and finish. Reliable to say the least I’m sure.@@ryanb8736

    Hey thanks for this video. I’m getting my wilderness outback at the end of November just in time for the Canadian winter. I’m excited about it my other vehicle is a Land Rover Defender and with all the car thefts over hear I needed a vehicle that people aren’t really stealing and is safe for me to drive in all weather and this was the best vehicle. Again thanks for this in-depth review. Cheers

      How was the fuel mileage? My 23 outback non turbo premium gets into the low 30s on the highway but I feel it is a little underpowered especially with more people in it. I was thinking of upgrading to a wilderness but I heard the turbo engine does not get the fuel mileage that Subaru claims it does

    • @broinsocali
      @broinsocali 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ddphotoadventure2657 the mileage wasn't bad. But then again I don't drive the posted speed limit. But still wasn't bad. You feel that turbo kick in when you step on the pedal. Depending on how you plan on using it, I would upgrade to the turbo. It's still a Subaru so you can't go wrong. And it looks so good.

    Great review!!, I like outback for great visibility, good interior , comfortable seats, lots of space in second row and in cargo area. Only think I did not like is that engine sounds like 20 years old car. Engine is very loud, my 07 camry is more quite than outback. Not good for long drive on free way with noise. I feel Forester is more quitter than outback.

    Just picked up my 24 last week. All I can say about the tags and “black plastic cladding” is “why?” It serves no purpose and makes no sense. So far I’m fairly happy, but there is a lack of storage available which is a penalty for the full sized spare. I have found the front camera useful, but it is no replacement for the Birdseye camera on my wife’s RAV4 Hybrid limited. You didn’t mention the ability to tip the headrests forward, which was new to me in the Subaru and really makes the seating move comfortable to me at 6’ even

    • @chuy623
      @chuy623 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You really think it lacks storage compared to the RAV4? I just recently traded my RAV4 for this car and I feel like I have more trunk space compared to the RAV4. I know because my baby’s stroller fits much better in the outback than the RAV4 🤣

      Frame is old technology. They are also known to rot and rust. Also not as strong in accidents too. Plus full frames don’t drive as good as unibody.
      Unibodies are popular for good reasons. Higher strength and rigidity. Thats why the best off road vehicle known as Defender is unibody.
      I would never buy a frame vehicle ever again. It’s now 2024.
