I bought this exact gun for conceal carry 2 months ago after much research. The gun I was previously carrying was the Beretta 92 fs. I truly do think this sig is a perfect gun for me. Everything thing about it pleases me from it's color to the way it puts em where I want them. I recommend this gun to anyone.

For carry, I like a double action/single action. Since my gal suddenly preferred my Titanium Blue P229 Enhanced Elite for her house gun, I've got her P320 RX Compact. The 229 is a softer shooter, but if I could only keep one gun it would be the RX. I put TFX Pro sights on the 229, mounted a light on it for her and it's a helluva firearm. I heard the titanium blue was a special run for a chain store and nobody bought them. A pair of them showed up at my local Point Blank in the Greater Cleveland area. I believe the MSRP was around $1175, it was in the case for $800, and I bought it for $700 and felt like I got a great deal. I wish I would have bought them both. The E2 grip size is similar to a P320 "small" and it handles beautiful. Dynamite gun.
I've been watching alot of reviews of sa/da pistols lately. The P229 and PX4 Storm compact carry both seem like good options in 9mm. I'll check both out when I return home from otr trucking. I enjoy the way you keep your reviews moving. No chance of dozing off! 🎅

The P229 Enhanced Elite Blue Titanium is a sweet pistol. However, since you kept mentioning it... you should have passed on a couple Glocks and gone all in for a Legion.
I have several P2XX Sigs. My first Legion though was a P229, I have since picked up a P226 SAO and P220 Carry Legion.
Considering all you get with the Legion, they are well worth the extra cost IMHO

I love Sig and they are very proud of their pistols, but I do have to say I was surprised at the price on this one. I was figuring $800 as soon as I read the title. This looks like an amazing pistol, love the sights and the SRT is great. Congrats on the pick-up and have a great weekend!

KSGunGuy I want to give you some food for thought. What you do with this advice is up to you. The slide stop is exactly that, a "slide stop", not a slide release. The only time I recommend using the slide stop as a release is during that life or death situation that calls for speed in order to save you and your loved ones. Using the slide stop to release the slide will cause excess wear on the leading corner of the slide stop until it will no longer hold the slide after firing the last round in your pistol. Should that happen during a lethal encounter it will ruin your day. I was told this as a kid, reassured this in Vietnam. It's just good advice. "O", spending money for new parts to replace worn out parts may not be a big deal, but being able to get to the the store and buy them is. Your video was nicely done and I like your P229 Enhanced Elite.

If you shop around at gun shows you can find 229 mags and get them cheep, I bought 8 229 40 cal mags for $40 one lucky day and then proceeded to order 9mm followers. In all I had about $60 in 8 mags. That's a steal.

Long time Glock guy here. Great review! Been drooling over Sigs lately. Really torn between this one and the Legion. Is the Legion really worth the extra cost? I really love those x-ray sights on the Legion, and the finish looks amazing... but I do love the sharp, refined look of the Elite... plus, actually the extended beavertail has grown on me so much, that I actually would prefer to have it! Ahhhh decisions...

Man I almost just purchased this same elite. Great pistol for the money. Good deal. I ended up picking up a OD green CZ P-01 instead. Wonder if I made the right decision?

Looks like a strong value offering from sig. not sure I would walk past a P01 for this, but at that price I would definitely entertain it more.

Good review as always. You might be off on the weight. I get 2 lbs. .8 ounces on my Enhanced Elite (32.8 oz). They advertise 34.4 ounces, so I'm not sure about 29 and 1/2 ounces).

Beautiful gun. I just picked up a sig 229 sas and it shoots awesome and carries well. Sig has a promotion if you buy a gun up until oct 15 you will get 2 free mags and a gun bag.

Very nice review KS. If I'm not mistaken the P229 is built on a 40 S&W frame. Just like the Steyr M9, S&W M&P & Sigma, etc, etc.

KSGunGuy 01 Only thing intended by my comment was, I find it interesting that some of these fantastic 9mm's seem to be built on 40 frames. I'm certainly not pushing my caliber preference. Although I do like a diversity of cartridges. Instead of this utterly myopic trend of we should be limited to just 9 & 45.
An excellent point. I'm bad about that and really should venture into some new calibers. Unfortunately it's so difficult to sell them should the need arise and I have to be mindful of that with these reviews. Sadly I can't keep them all. I agree, 9 and 45 seem to be the big calibers these days.
KSGunGuy 01 If the other calibers don't appeal I completely understand. We all like what we like. And don't what we don't. I also understand when ppl consolidate or choose to be more selective in their caliber choices. But what I don't get is the hatred and desire for these cartridges to fade away and just die. I'm no fan of the 357 Sig. I believe it to be a bit overrated. But I'm certainly not advocating for it to be gotten rid of.
100% agree with you there. I thinks there's a place for all calibers. I like the 357 example and would love to shoot one some day!

I'm 25 and I carry a CZ PCR and P-07. I also have an Inox Beretta. The only striker pistol I have is the TP9SFX

I just got a Elite carry Talo limited edition and love it!! Think I like it better than my FN509 tactical.. Double action is smooth and easy, unless you got baby fingers why complain about trigger pull? Lol I can see if you was older 65-70+yrs old..

I just bought one from one of my local shops. He was telling me that the Blue Titanium was a short - limited edition that they only made for 2017. Glad I got one when I did.

Hello everyone. I am a small woman who has never shot but friends have referred me to the Sig, more specifically the Legion. What is your feed back please. My state of NH has open carry so that is what I want to do.
Judy Moon I recommend the sig p238 micro compact . My wife is a small lady and that gun offered the best control for her. Get it in complete stainless steel frame and slide for better recoil control.
The 229 legion is a little bulky in the grip, that is coming from my wife when she first shot my 229 legion. You could try the Sig P225, it has a slim grip and good for ccw. The only things is - you can only buy them in the used market. Sig, I believe no longer makes em.
The only DA/SA pistols I would only be Sig or CZ
