Been practicing with my first drone, a 600S. Very disappointed the 600 can’t swim. My new 900 comes today. Very excited. Thanks for the info! Very helpful video!
That sticks that you had problems. Yeah as you said Ted didn't have any issues with his. Mine is supposed to show up today so I hope to review mine soon and hopefully I'll have no issues
Awesome job Mr Marcus....I took my very first drone out ..The HS700D...it still flies but it's like riding a wild bull 🤪 Stay safe my Friend...Tell Sarah Sam says HI ...
Since you only show the screen recording, due to the memory card issue, it was hard to determine how good the camera is. This drone looks better on spec sheet, than it does out in the field. Good honest review, thanks for sharing Marcus.
Very impressive. I hope you have to give it a chance again for the settings and descending on rth mode. I'm expecting pt 2 to see if the issues are rectified. Stay safe.
@@IdahoQuadcopter I've my first compilation. I just returned from a trip to a village and it's worth it. I thank you so much for your services you render to your viewers. Be blessed all the time Amen ❤️🙏
That little Holy Stone actually did pretty well. But that telem issue is concerning. Thanks for sharing, Marcus. I enjoy seeing how those (cheaper) drones do. Btw, wow! Did you see the line of people waiting to get in the door, and that drive thru line. Must be some damn good burgers! 😂 No In and Out joints in my area here in the NE corner of Maryland.
Marcus, this drone has come a long ways from the HS175D & the HS720 series. Holy Stone is slowly edging closer to DJI mini series. As you stated, the single battery that comes with the drone kit is a minus in my book.
Take a look at the HS360E. Its the HS360S with EIS. Did you have the telemetry problems with the HS360S? For the price of this HS900, its super close to the cost of a DJI. With discounts codes off TH-cam review videos on Amazon, the HS360E is only $150. Its the HS360S with an improved camera.
Hi Marcus, I do appreciate your reviews of 2nd and 3rd tier drones. Thank you for doing the reviews. There seems to be something about Idaho being a black hole for non-DJI drones? vbg
This is super informative thank you Marcus. Always love watching your videos. Come fly in Australia with me one day. 🙂 Kind Regards David. Melbourne Australia.
Good review, Marcus. Looks like a good drone, but at that price I think I'd pass. Feels like DJI Mini 1 quality. I love to see competition for DJI, but they set the bar pretty high.
Hey Marcus. Looks the exact same as the Walkera t210 mini. I have one. Just a different color. That altitude telemetry, you dont think it could just be the satellite calibration? Saw a video the other day of a guy doing a range flight with a dji mini 2 and his was also a -4.30m and in actual fact he was at 160m. Also over the hight limit.
GPS has no measurement of altitude. None of the four global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) do. It's likely an issue with the Barometric Presure Sensor or how it's calibrated. It's probably safe to assume Holystone isn't spending much on BPS chipsets.
Extra batteries come with fly more kits. I dont like how we judge other companies but accpept everything Dji does and dont complain. All Dji drones come with 1 battery unless its a fly more kit or combo
Only available in the U.S. of A.... Eh?? 🇨🇦 Was the SD Card issue.. FAT32 - exFAT related? Seems more of a Toy grade kit.... and yet no mention of the Fimi Mini 3 ?? 😇🤣😱
Hey Marcus! I wonder if Holy Stone, Potensic and others, once relegated to the "Amazon Prime Budget Special" category, are stepping up in hope that DJI may actually get banned, presenting opportunities never before possible 🤔 - if that should occur. Hopefully, things don't get to that point!
I really like HolyStone but they have a policy of only one battery! Which I think reduces their sales! I know it does with me! Also, I have only been flying for a couple years, but I suggest you leave the camera cover on for the first flight until you know and can fly the drone well and don't use the camera or manipulate the camera!! If this drone takes off and crashes into a building a full speed, it will., destroy the camera and thus your drone! For example, About the third time I flew my HS360S, I launched and it went full speed and hit a wall. I had left the camera cover on so it was okay! I found that a hair had gotten onto the right from motor. I pulled out the hair and launched it again, only for it to do it again and hitting another wall, only to find that I had not gotten all the air out of the motor! I got the rest of the hair out and it flew fine after that!
I made the mistake of buying the HS720R. What a disaster this drone is. Contacted Holy Stone asking them to replace the 720 with the 900. Basically got told to "go pound sand." You can't beat customer service like this. If you are set on Holy Stone, buy the HS900. If you have an HS720R.....dig a hole and bury it- deep.
Another excellent video! I just cannot see buying any drone other than DJI.
I hear you. This one isn't up to DJI standards!
Yeah except dji may possibly be banned.
@@D2R777 That bill means all Chinese drones.

I hope you got a good one Ryan! Thank you for stopping by.
HS is playing catch up but it is definately nice to see people chasing DJI standards.
Yes, this one has a way to go to catch up with DJI. 👍

Thank you Sam! HS drones are like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're going to get. 😀

Thank you Ron! I had hoped for better with this drone. 🤷♂️
another awsome review Marcus.
Thanks again Henry!

I agree. One battery is a mistake.

I liked the HS360S, so yes, I suspect the HS360E is a good one. 👍
Its a rebrand of the walkera t210 mini se but does not have the throw and go feature
It sure looks a lot like the Walkera. 👍
I'm loving my HS 900 but there is no way to use cheap phone VR Goggles . Has any used a 3ed party app successfully ?
None that I'm aware of.

Thank you for the invitation David! I'd love to visit Oz some day!
It definitely needs a firmware update, the telemetry is scary 😂. Besides that, it seems to fly pretty good. Great video Marcus 👍
Thank you Alan. Now if only it would record some video! 😄
@@IdahoQuadcopter That would kinda help 😂
Good honest review Marcus, however Holystone will never be able to compete with DJI on quality or price. Needs to be cheaper and include 2 batteries.
I agree. They have a way to go. 👍
Good review, Marcus. Looks like a good drone, but at that price I think I'd pass. Feels like DJI Mini 1 quality. I love to see competition for DJI, but they set the bar pretty high.
I agree, these second tier drone companies really need to improve their quality to be up to DJI standards.

I've seen other reviewers have the telemetry issue with the HS900. Holystone tells me they are aware of it, and are working on a fix.

I also remember DJI having an issue with a negative altitude showing on their app so I'm sure it's not something that is difficult to fix
