- Holystone sent me a replacement for the first drone they sent me to review. I'm happy to say that I had a trouble free flight with this drone. I had a nice flight out over the Pacific Ocean in Seaside, Oregon. I look forward to a lot more flights with this little drone. We'll explore all of it's features.

Nice review, I live in Oregon and love Seaside and the beach. Your talking about the Lewis and Clark saltworks, there in Seaside, very cool. Friends just stayed there at the same condo. Across the street is Moes restaurant. Hightly recommended. Also the prominade and the downtown mall area, with amusement rides, and shops. Hope you enjoyed your visit to our state. Enjoy your visit and safe trip home.

This replacement unit did much the first one. It seemed to fly well and maintain a decent signal. The video quality look fine, until you compare it with the B-roll video you were getting from the Action 4, which was stunning...Those beautiful dark rain clouds. Great video, and thanks for sharing Marcus.
I agree with you Ron. While the video from this drone is not too bad, it's not really very good either.

It's great to see the title of the video THIS ONE WORKS GREAT LOL. I bought a 720 r had nothing but problems with it it flew away on me fourth time out couldn't find it they were nice enough to replace it but I asked them for a different model of equal value like the HS 600 they said they were unable to do that sent me the same exact model that I've had nothing but problems with again. Just ordered a DJI going to give this one to my nephew. It's great that they're working on their stuff but considering they know that 720 line has had nothing but problems and weren't willing to replace it with something they know works better I don't see myself buying another holy Stone anytime soon

@@IdahoQuadcopter it was down to the DJI mini 4K for the potensic atom. Put between the bann and not being able to buy DJI products for too much longer being a good possibility and not wanting another nightmare drone I decided to go with the DJI mini 4K because of their quality and reliability. Might still buy an atom later on cuz I like the controller and the fact that it charges all three batteries at once and it might be cool to have an extra. Don't need anything too fancy just something that works well and reliably again why I went with the DJI. But I do really appreciate you and others like you doing these in-depth reviews so as consumers have a good idea of what we're getting ourselves into before we buy a product. So thanx brother
Glad you are you got a good one. I still have not opened mine yet but I plan to finally get it up in the air and review it this weekend or next week. This seems to be a really good little drone.

That's a cool drone, man... It was neat. yesterday I watched a video of yours on the East coast and today on the West... you are traveling a lot... lol I'd agree that 15 seconds of frame loss over the course of the flight is quite a bit. Nice job syncing it back up by the way...

Yes. there is a lot of frame dropping with this drone. It just doesn't have the processing speed needed. Thank you Jackie!

Really like your videos. I been into drones for about 10 months now. I started out with holy stone then moved onto Potensic then finally moved onto dji mini 4 pro and Air 3. Your videoes helped me decide whether to go to Mavic 3 or Air 3. I notice lately your are featuring non dji drones. They are all sub par. We all know. It's time for us all in this hobby and band together and petition and educate our Senators to remove this dji ban from the latest defence bill. They are uneducated. Maybe we should band together and lobby and educate. Thanks for all you do. I really enjoy your stuff. But thinking you may not be flying any Chinese stuff pretty soon

Did you calibrate the compass, gyroscope, and gimbal prior to the flight? Just was curious if that had any bearing on it descending.
I seldom calibrate unless the drone asks for it. 👍
I just got one of these delivered yesterday. So far nothing but trouble. It doesn’t seem to be bound to the transmitter. It hasn’t connected to my phone at all so that I can even register it. I spent 90 minutes on the chat with HS yesterday. I’ll try again this evening after work.
Oh wow! I'm sorry to hear it. The drone typically comes already bound to the controller.
@@IdahoQuadcopter that’s what all of the literature said, I’m hoping I have better luck after work and don’t end up having to send it back or exchange it.
@@IdahoQuadcopter so, I had the usb pigtail in the wrong usb port 😂 I didn’t see the correct one in my sleep deprived state yesterday. It flys nice, I got it set up and inspected my gutters before a thunderstorm rolls in

I am new to flying, what is the rule of 3rds.
1/3 sky, 1/3 horizon, 1/3 foreground. It's not a hard and fast rule at all, but often it helps to get a nice picture or video.

Holly stone this is a good drone so put a touch screen controller on it an you want be able to make them fast enough or do a bigger drone with touch screen

Who do you guys think is going to be the next top contender if DJI truly does get banned? I hope Congress sees that it's just dirty politics and there's no real threat there but this is the American government we're talking about now lol. That CEO from skydio reminds me of Justin Hammer from iron Man LOL. A shady business man who can't compete honestly so does shady stuff to take out the competitor and then make gear that fails when you need to rely on it lmao😂

I was about to purchase the Mini 4 Pro but I see a great deal on the Air 3 right now. They have the Flymore Kit with screen for $1239 right now.
Thinking about that.

The DJI Air 3 is the one you want. In the US there isn't much advantage to having a sub-250g drone. Yes, you need the Trust test for any drone.

Tomorow is the last day of the sale on the Air 3. I had a Mini 2 and loved it and had no problems but a little larger drone will handle the winds better here by me.
I live in Chicago and we been having some pretty constant 15-20 MPH winds lately.
Less wear and tear more stability on the Air 3 than a Mini 4 Pro.
