- In this video I test several different Micro SD Cards in the Holystone HS900 Sirius sub-250g GPS camera drone. I had some success, and unfortunately uncovered some other problems. I had hoped for better performance from this little drone. I'll continue to troubleshoot it and see if I can achieve a better result. My HS360S, which I am very happy with, comes down very slowly on it's own.! On the other hand my HS200W is just the opposite, when landing, one has to come down very slowly manually, or else it just drops out of the sky,
I think the HS3260S is their best drone! I'm really happy with mine!

Have tried some other drones but Old Faithful always draws me back. Have 3 DJI now. Scan Disk Extreme Pro has always worked for me. Have tried other U3 but the 128 and 256 Scan has never failed me. Might be old in my ways but... Awesome vid as always!!
Yes indeed! it's tough to go wrong with DJI!
I just got the HS900 on 08-04-24 and switched my SD card from the HS 720G that I was using previously and found that the recordings do go to the SD card, but within the HS Sirius application, it doesn't show up. My Ophelia Fly application had no issues showing both videos and photos on the app. The HS 900 only shows the photos. Must be a bug in the application. I also did the latest firmware updates, but still have the same issue. I will be reaching out to support soon to inquire about this issue, but thanks for all the videos.

Nice review always, lots of patience needed for finding bugs, normally a new product needs 2-3 months of bugs fix update. Anyway I think if the price is 200 bucks around, it should be a very good starter drone.
Yes, it's way overpriced. Let's hope for some firmware updates.
I got into this hobby because my first drone was a dji mini 2.i think if I would have purchased a holystone I would not be in this hobby today.a first time drone enthusiast should be given a DJI DRONE.🤠😁

Hey Marcus, thanks for the testing as usual! I’m getting more and more frustrated though as it’s looking like we are going to have fewer choices when it comes to drones! If the G has it there way, DJI won’t be an option, but it’s my Favorite by far! I’m Sick of trying inferior drones especially at the ridiculous selling prices! Just like the one you’re testing in the vid, way over priced in my opinion especially for only one battery, Nuts! Then on top of that, it looks cheap as can be and doesn’t perform well! I sure hope DJI sticks around, it’s the BEST!

Thanks for the extra effort you put into trying to get the drone to work. Looks to me like this drone is a DUD. At least the copy you received. I won't be buying this brand any time soon. Any company that sends out a copy for review should have tested the copy BEFORE shipping it. I totally agree, if you cannot trust the drone to get you good video, why would you fly it. JMHO
I must admit this one has been a disappointment. I had hoped for better.

Have you tried using a small card maybe 16 or 32gig I know that's not enough but I know some devices don't know how to read above a certain size SD. Shouldn't be the case for a 4K drone but maybe they dropped the ball on that in the software

Pretty clearly to me they sent you a defective unit. As for the range, it would be interesting to try this one without the DJI wireless mic, perhaps it's another that can't handle the wireless mic being too close?
The SD card issue is bad. I agree, it's a defective drone.

The problem I have with my HS720E drone, is the two left arms broken.

Holystone need to send you another drone, this one is simply riddled with bugs. Altitude indicator is all over the place, it's accurate at times close to the ground, but up in the air ....it goes mental. The signal breakup in 2 different locations tells me you've got a lemon. On a side note, I saw gorillamans review of the FIMI Mini 3 ... something tells me you're going to hate that one. 😂 Great video, Marcus 👍

Very poor distance Marcus, I'm glad my first venture into 'droning' was with a DJI Mini 2! Glad we are not faced with the potential DJI ban here in the UK (Well as long as our Government don't follow your Government) and start getting jittery over China 'spying' Great video thanks, Clive from Suffolk UK.

ok... this may be my meds....... (when or have you thought of) will drones be a companion? I mean like a dog... it will already follow you and things but I mean like... A verbal command seek.... and the drone flies a perimeter to sense danger... it would be good for off-road racing and all kinds of things.... maybe I saw something like that in a movie or it's the meds but I was wondering if that is where the drone will evolve into????

It will fly, yes.
Little wonder you are having issues with your antennae pointed at the ground. The side of the antennae should be aimed at the drone for the best signal. You've got the best transmitting part of the antennae broadcasting into the pavement in front of you.

You don't have a defective drone you have a badly designed drone. I have experienced the same problems (the FPV breakup and video loss is not due to the TF card it is other problems, though there are intermittent problems detecting the TF card which CAN be formatted in the drone) and got nothing but BS from HS who have been giving me the runaround and all kinds of BS excuses and blow offs from their product team (its a failed Walkera drone)! There are many other issues that you have not yet stumbled upon. It is not ready for prime time. We're beta testers! The Atom is the much better drone.

Holy Stone have made an announcement in the Holy Stone Drone Club group on Facebook about the black screen issue. I've been on them for a while about this issue. Maybe your review tipped the balance and made them sit up and take notice!
