🤷♂️ I like the medieval it’s been a blast to create with. I feel like you take yourself a little too serious to be all spun up about a company making a product. I added dark ambient samples and get a great vibe outta it.
If you can't see how flawed a product like this sampler is then you're more than likely to buy into all their other gimmicky toys. The lack of ability for more memory space on an already abysmal 64mb of sample memory, on top of almost half that space already taken by medieval samples that you CANT REMOVE. The machine isn't the worst thing in the world, but having sooooooooo many limitations on top of the price on top of what's already out there in the market...you're just shooting yourself in the foot. Teenage engineering isn't even a instrument company anymore since they got acquired by some bougie designer company. It's a fashion statement. All about feeling coooooollll. A toy in every sense of the word. It was tolerable with the PO line of samplers, but this...geez
@@WarpedBlinds lol you act like TE personally attacked you. You ok? You sound like Trump with all that hater-ade you drinkin. Seriously, why you so wound up about something that isn’t for you existing? Also the mini freak is garbage. You see how ridiculous I sound? That’s how you sound.
@@WarpedBlinds What you say is true but a few hundred puts a smile on your face why not? Life is short. If it's part of your recreational budget.... that's cool. We're in a golden age of music production. There are SO many options...
@damelos4039 If that small rush of dopamine is enough for you, then by all mean, indulge yourself. People lack self-control, which is why Tennage Engineering loves to capitalize on people's GAS (Gear Aquisition Syndrome). It's a bougie toy for people who like to feel bougie. This medieval varient is an absolute slap in the face, considering all its limitations for the price. It's just insulting.
I'm very put off by the whole medieval theme. What's the difference between this and EP-133? You can load your own samples. I really feel like the only differences are - the way it looks, the pre-loaded samples, and some new effects I think? From a TE fanboy - TE wildin wit this one.
I really think teenage engineering has to be looked at through the lens of a design/fashion house that also produces some great synthesizers/music hardware. They aren't attempting to respond to trend or consumer ask, but rather selling engaging hardware that encourages all people to make music. The medieval is so fun to me because my nephew plays D&D. Now I can be the bard, do a live electronic medieval soundtrack, and most importantly bring over a cool-looking gadget that will hopefully get him excited about making music. My TE stuff is still the only pieces of gear I've gotten my fiancee to play with and the only stuff she'll let me leave out in plain view in the living room, there's value in that.
It was a weird idea to do this format. There are a lot of other themes but hey, if it sells....good for them. I have the original and I'll stick with that. That one works for me, with all the limitations. This version just doesn't spark me with inspiration.
It's funny, I had the polar opposite reaction. The KO II looked pretty boring to me, but the medieval looked like way too much fun. I'm tired of normal drum kits, time to see what I can do with some cow noises.
some ppl sayin it is tapping into the DND market which I guess is many millions. I think it is stupid, not in a good way. Definitely a waste of money and I wish they'd make the ep-133 better instead of making this :(
🤔… Maybe an internal mgmt bet gone wrong??? Yeah, maybe you can just replace unwanted sounds. But surely they targeted a VERY NICHE market. It will make the now OG KO2 more desired though. The thought of a camo themed option… Yeah, way better to me. 🤦🏾♂️ 👍🏾✌🏾
The same ppl who asked for this and bought it are the same ppl who bought their $1,200 Folding table 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 They Trolling fuck no I aint getting one I like my Maschine Mk3
who asked for this?? everyone... Its sounds incredible, but you have to actually be creative to get it instead of being fixate don making the same cookie cutter bullshit that you are hoping to make a buck off of
Ah, I see! Creativity = condescending lectures from the comment section. Who knew? I'll try to channel that energy next time I'm making ‘cookie-cutter’ bangers that pay my bills. 😘
This is a horrible review not just structurally but fundamentally. Clearly there is a market and all your described "shortcomings" could be seen as selling points to the actual target audience. Medieval techno is a nice genre if done right.
don't be so prissy lady. If you got your panties in a bunch because of this product, touch grass and stop taking yourselve so seriously. It's a dope little sampler, and if you don't like the factory presets, just swap 'em for your bog standard one shots, and you're safely back on normie territory with this one. Don't be so shocked a corporation can make artistic decisions too, even if they make less commercial sense than cold logic dictates. I think that's actuallly refreshing. Cheers!
Wow, that’s a lot of passion for factory presets! 😂 Don't worry, I'll be sure to touch grass right after I finish untangling these metaphorical panties.
I asked for it. And it sounds absolutely amazing!
Imagine how boring life would be if artists and instrument creators only made things people were asking for.
Just get an MPC

All the sounds on it are usable, you just have to get our of your box. This is not "specific", this has the WIDEST appeal of any audio device

nothing you say in this video makes any sense
Try watching it again ☺️
I like the old pocket operators personally but if they make a opz in a solid case I’m all in
I've recently seen OPZ for like 300$ 2nd hand which is pretty cheap? If you want one go get one
Surely the point of this is just to be a collectable?
That’s a fair assessment
Everything you say in this video makes so much sense

This is a great perspective. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾✨
Rambo themed would've been sweet.
RIGHT?! If they end up doing something similar, you'll know they got it from me lol
I feel like Neffi is Going Thru Stockholm Syndrome with Teenage Engineering 😂 😂 😂 😂 walk away Neffi 😂

What are we even talking about?
I’m talking about the meaning of life, obviously. But you blinked and missed it.
6:57 so italian style
It looks like a calculator and is a quarter as durable
Well you have obviously never touched a teenage engineering product before, have you
another TE cash grab

Then it wasn't done right.
the EP-133 KOII is rad...this is just a stupid meme of a product that makes me embarrassed to own some of their stuff. Thanks for saying it!
Better late than never
