How were they able to declare a winner when the finishing times were identical? Photo that we didn't get to see? The Ingebrigtsen's are amazingly impressive regardless of the millimeter details in this particular race. Regarding the mispronounciation of Henrik Ingebrigtsen: I had a high school year in the U.S. and no one could say my name correctly - one teacher renamed me and just called me "Bill" - I dropped the two dots above the "o" in my first name as they only made things worse. I actually won a long distance road race (from Adrian to Hell in Michigan, 1970 - the other 147 competitors were just other kids from my HS so I doubt that any professional runners were involved) at age 17 - and other kids following me by car just yelled "go Swede". I got used to all that and simply didn't care. Have a nice trophy as a memory.
Nice comment, Swede. Now we have Peter, Bjorn, and John. We have Bjork. A little closer to getting it. Cööl störy, tho. Cheers. You still run? You gotta be 67 now.
If you are going to be a sports commentator, you should do your homework. Have the decency to pronounce the competitors name somewhat correctly. I had to watch the video without sound.
Yet another example of flotrack commentators being absolutely terrible. Comically bad. Also based on his college results Lawi Lawang is the biggest bust in running history lol.
For a weak kick it's quite odd that it is the signature way he wins over 90% of his races. I mean if it gets you 3 European Championship bronze medals and 3 European Championship silver medals, while making you a two time European XC Champion as well as a European Champion in the 1500 while placing 2 spots away from medaling at an Olympic games, then I sure as well wouldn't mind having a "weak" kick.
@@kennethcoleman1378 very true, but it seems that in the bigger races he's been beat the same way. So by weak I mean it in relative terms, not that I could beat him in any capacity.
@@mikeyKnows_ But in bigger races he has equally won with his kick. That's how he won the European title, that's how he won the XC titles, that's how he has won his Diamond League races. I think it's less about him having a weak kick and more about him not timing it properly because he splits anywhere between 54-56 in his last 400m for example during this race in particular his last quarter was 56.2 which is quick for a diamond league caliber race.
56 ending lap of a 5k is fast enough to win most elite races. He will improve and get his overall times to the high 12:50s. I'm impressed considering he had leg surgery within the last 5 years. He's a beast.
“The sunglasses, the mustache, the speed suit, it’s on”😂😂😂classic
I’m glad he finally worn a race....this guy has been striving and racing amongst the best. I’m happy for him, he deserves it.
"Engel-britsen"
Eagle britsen
Ingle, Ingle, Ingle even when there's no L in his name.
The classic, "Ingelbritsen"

It’s not “Ingle” you dingle-berry.
Hahahaha. I know right there is no L n the first two syllables
Right!!!
@@LuisFernando-yd3mx There’s no L in any of his syllables. But there are three in ‘syllables’.
There is no L in INGEBRIGTSEN

Ingebrigtsen not ingilbritsen
= lazy tongue + dyslexia
Wasn’t ‘Inglebritsen’ one of Santa’s reindeer?
Never let 12 years old call a race. Thanks.
Yeah flotrack has some lame ass announcers
@@kaismithley6173 bullshit, these announcers are legendary

I’m still searching for the letter ‘L’ in Ingebrigsten

damn, nearly hit the olympic standard
When was this?
3rd of May, 2018. He also had problems with injuries, so very impressive.
@@cyoul8trallygatr549 oh wtf I was thinking it was recent and they didn’t say the date
Team Ingebrigtsen rules : AGAIN !!!!!
He's the Wyatt Earp of track.
It looked like he got second
Always come back to this meet where Henrik and Jakob win races. So funny how Ingebrigtsen is pronounced. Now everyone knows how to say it.

Looks like Riley Masters won the race for a few centimeters...
