That outro gives me goosebumps, and gets me a little misty-eyed. Well done, Zakk. I'm sure Dime would be happy with you.
Watching the video in the back ground and hearing this song i was about be all there somthing in my eye lol
Me too, wasn't expecting it, but I also got something in my eye
FRISSON, also known as aesthetic chills or musical chills is a psychophysiological response to rewarding auditory and/or visual stimuli that often induces a pleasurable or otherwise positively-valenced affective state and transient paresthesia (skin tingling or chills), sometimes along with piloerection (goose bumps) and mydriasis (pupil dilation).
The sensation commonly occurs as a mildly to moderately pleasurable emotional response to music with skin tingling; piloerection and pupil dilation not necessarily occurring in all cases.
Same 😢
Me too
That smile Phil gave Zakk after the solo - priceless ❤
My thoughts exactly
it's a great moment because I'm sure Phil realizes that's not an easy solo to pull off
@@stephenm8725 I think everybody realize that, my man :D Nothing from Dime's hand weren't easy. Maybe simple, but never easy
Yeah he nailed it! Well done Zakk!
Man I feel like he looked right at Zakk and for a moment he saw and heard Dime. That's how I felt at least
I’m so glad this happened. Phil’s voice is in such good shape, it would have been criminal to never get to hear this again.
Exactly!!!
Phil's voice been gone for 20 years
@@tonykerr7914 and it's back. Compare this to anything he's done in the last 20, I don't think he sung a clean note the whole time. It's obvious he's worked on his singing and he's sounding great.
He's barely managing this. You can hear the strain in his voice. But as I said on the previous comment, if he's not complete dogshit it's a win 🤷♂
@@itsjustlyle Barely managing? That’s a bit of a stretch. I take it you haven’t seen this in person?
If anyone was hesitant at this lineup. This right here should squash that. Everything was perfect.
FACTS!!!
@@darkshinobi07where
I wouldn't go as far as to say perfect, but it was as good as ur gonna get without Dime on the guitar.
@@dylangoff2113 you're correct. It can't be perfect without the Abbott brothers. This was still really good though. A lot better than I thought it would be.
@@devontolly1596 There were no flaws. Fucking hell did they nail it. Honestly one of the best shows I've seen in my life. I never thought I would hear these songs played like this, 27 years after I saw Pantera they delivered! The crowd was electric too! R.I.P. Abbott brothers.
The solo that Zakk plays here brought me to tears. Dime would have been so damn proud. Fucking epic.
He summoned the spirit of Dime. You can feel him there.
I'm crying like a baby.
Tears in my beard... Man that was Beyond beautiful!!!
Same!
Me too guy me too
I was in the pit, was so amazing realizing they were about to play floods
You are one lucky guy!
Hell yeah, hold on to that feeling. Pun but no pun intended.
I bet man. Crazy
Fucking amazing show, was in the pit too losing my shit
I got to watch it on TH-cam 😎 lol
The outro riff which is considered one of the best riffs of all time was written by Dimebag when he was like 15-16.
Best riffs of all time!?
Can we all acknowledge how fantastic Phil sounds? His voice is emotional and powerful as ever.
And of course, father Zakk...nails everything about this. Incredible!!!
Whenever he says FLOODS a small earthquake happens it's so powerful
great pfp, mr bungle supremacy!!!
Phil stopping drinking and doing hard drugs I'm sure contributes to how Phil sounds today.
I LOVE Zakk, but let's not forget Charlie. He's killing it in Vinnie's spot
Phil sounds great!
All things considered, he does sound sound good I can't lie. We as fans have to remember, these guys aren't 20 year old's anymore! I have my issues with them carrying on Pantera without the Abbott's but I still have to be honest and say I've been impressed with all of the live clips I have seen with Pantera featuring Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante.
@@leadme2thebliss21 I saw the tour in Osaka and loved it. I have my issues regarding Zakk's tone and playing on the material but it had to be him and the show was amazing.
Hell yeah he does
He’s not 25 that’s facts but look at videos of him doin some pantera songs with his illegals band few years ago his voice wasn’t in the shape it is now. Phil has worked hard to sound as good as he can to make this tour the best it can be for the brothers for thr legacy…Love u Phil!!!
@@leadme2thebliss21you just called them pantera lol
Zakk feels his soulmate.. R.I.P DİMEBAGG
What do you mean his soulmate? they weren't gay
@@ZaklnGritchi dont want to explain you mf
idk about soulmate 😂. They were friends.
You can be soulmates with anybody it doesn't have to be about your sexual preference.
@@ZaklnGritch Are you THAT underdeveloped? You aren't fucking your mom, but you love her, right? See how it can be different? That, but soulmates.
Man, Charlie Benante´s drumming remembers so much Vinnie Paul. It´s outstanding!
Always blew my mind that he never really got the props he deserved.
Sounds exactly like Vinnie
From the very first show they did with thus current lineup, I swear if I closed my eyes, and didn't already know what I know, I'd swear that was Vinnie back there. And I saw the original lineup multiple times.
It’s because they actually have some of Vinnie’s drum sound mixed in the live audio. They said that when Rick Beato interviewed them.
damn heavy
I much agree that Dime is looking down at Zakk with a smile. Let’s not forget about Vinnie also looking down at Charlie with that same smile.
Vinnie would've been totally against a Pantera reunion without Dime.
@@JuanMartinez-ib7mz And for that Vinnie is actually childish. We all love Dime but he forgot that Pantera isn't only about him. Mad Respect to him though for staying with his bro all the way.
@@JuanMartinez-ib7mzIt’s a tribute, not a reunion.
how does that make him childish? doesnt want his lifes work to go on without the person he built it with. Now the guy who caused it to fall apart in the beginning is banking off of it. Phil can say he is doing it as a tribute but the abbott brothers both hated him in the end. Its all about the money.@@friedtawilis0741
No way Vinnie would smile upon this, sadly. It's easy for an outsider to say that he let the tragic loss of his brother get in the way of paying tribute to him but that is exactly how I see it.
Everyone mourns differently.
Zakk is a godsend to us all! Nothing left to say!!! As I sit in tears of jubilation! Noon else could play those parts with that much respect and appreciation.
I CAN NOT LIKE THIS COMMENT ENOUGH❤❤❤
thank God for this New Pantera lineup.dedicated to the Abbott brothers.❤
I'm not famous but I can play ALL of these parts on guitar as well as Zakk. And so can many others.
@@CorinMioSure you can.
@@CorinMiodon’t see you on a stage or even know who you are 😂 millions of people know who zakk is 🤷🏽♂️
Zakk, you are the man.
Love how Zakk played floods with the right tone exactly right to the t
If you grew up listening to Pantera like I did then you know how chilling that solo is. WOW, Zakk absolutely killed that. Dimebag would be proud.
Definitely
People forgot that Zakk is a fucking killer guitarist.
Do they?
hm.... thats literally what hes known for....
Who forgot?
Apparently tons of so called Pantera fans who have done nothing but bitch and moan about Zakk since this whole reunion was announced

7:01 LEGENDARY MOMENT...
Got a teary eye!
Cuando los hombres lloramos 😢
That drums with the double bass hits my balls, the guitar hits my soul, the bass brings a slow tingle and the vocals wrap around my heart.
It's a performance we few missed out on.
We needed this!
Appreciate that
Well said man!
Say no more😅
You forgot about your woodie
first time in over 20 years and the solo is just out of this world man, dimebag would be proud
Phil was so proud of Zakk on that solo. He said watch this mf? And gave him a at after. Amazing man. These guys are having a blast and we here for it all
So much
Feels……I am so grateful that this tour is happening, it’s giving me hope for the future of music, I’ve seen panTera
, In concert,30 times, and I am so ready to go to #31, thank you to whoever shot this and put it up on here……
Was hesitant to support this until I saw them play in Detroit with Metallica and was blown away, but this is just brilliant! Never ever thought I’d hear this live again and wow! Amazing!!
Pantera featuring Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante is really good, I can't lie. Hell, I would love to see these guys perform live. I have seen the original Pantera at Ozzfest 2000, they were easily just as good as Ozzy live who was headlining, if not better. That was a special time for me, I remember watching Pantera live on that hot summer day in Columbus, Ohio and I just couldn't take my eyes off of Dimebag, it was such an honor to see that man perform live. Godsmack and Static-X played directly before Pantera, what a day!
I was there too, awesome show.
You got to catch one of their headlines. Total tribute to the brothers. I seen them in LA with Metallica and that show was a two day ticket but pantera only played on Friday and then the second show was on Sunday so we were fortunate enough to catch pantera and lamb of god the next night in San Diego. So damn good man. Smaller venue and they had the screen doing tributes. Just a great show. Then went back to LA on Sunday to see the second set of the Metallica show.
I was at that Metallica show with my 22 year old daughter and her 21 year old fiancée. We were so impressed by Pantera we got tickets to their show in Grand Rapids on 2/20/24. I was able to see the original Pantera 3 times, one of which they opened for Black Sabbath!!
@@user-ur9ng9hd1g I saw them several more times, but my favorite… I played in a band called Eviction that opened for them just before CFH was released. Their soundcheck was a few songs they were writing for Vulgar… gave me chills I’ll never forget. Just that feeling they were going to be huge. And we were playing in a skating rink that held 400 people. Surreal .
Zakk nailed that solo and outro. Shit ain't easy!
Can't believe I'm getting to watch Zakk playing Floods. Amazing!
Absolute goosebumps.. gonna see them in may, and if they play Floods in that set I'll fucking cry honestly.
Bring tissues then...
I never got to see Pantera with Dime and Vince, so when I saw them open for Metallica I cried like a baby. No shame.
I cried too seeing them in toronto
@@ajhaeflinger5681you still didn’t see pantera… Phil and Rex have been playing these covers in down and super joint ritual for years. This is just a tribute band that are only using the name cause Vinny is dead. If you listen to any interview with Vinny on this subject, he would be hurt.
@chrislittle8122 interesting. I assume he feels Pantera died with dime? Tough to argue. I still may want to catch em when they come. I'm definitely not a fan of zakks music but he sounds like he's put in some work learning their songs
Zakk nailed it, Phil is awesome on vocals too. Man get this tour on DVD and bring your asses back in Europe.
Glad i got to see Planet Caravan back in June, now I want Floods SO BAD.
DVD? How about a vhs release too
@@trentonwalker8602 that would be lovely!
Well not a dvd any more, but a downloadable 4k live special in FLAC sound... YES YES YES
Zakk is the only guitarist to fill pantera I swear. Absolute legend I’ll be back to see them🤘
Andreas Kisser
My favorite Pantera song of all time
This is sick! The Great Southern Trendkill is such an amazing album. This song hits hard, zack does an excellent job and Phil sounds great for his age
Fuck yeah!!!!! Zakk will get even better at playing this live. Dimes most emotional solo. The chord progression in this solo is epic.
That intro riff is so fucking haunting. It's basically a black metal riff.
Badass!!! Why anyone doubted zakk is beyond me. Guy can rip them harmonics!!
If you listen to the few Ozzy records, great harmonics 😎
Cause they thi k zakk will zakk a pantera song
I feel like some was less doubt and more still a bitter taste from the way the original parted ways. I may be wrong though
@matthewbruno2121 you're not wrong.
@@matthewbruno2121It’s not doubt or bitter taste on how it ended… it’s just I don’t like his style of playing and everyone knew he was going to Zakk everything up with his pinch harmonics, but some songs and riffs, it’s like he didn’t try to learn them at all….
But enough about that…. He did good during this one.
Phil's voice sounds so much better live here than it did in the early 2000s.
I couldn’t agree more! Those were what I’ve heard some people refer to as his “Jim Morrison” days. Idk if he still smokes cigs, but getting off the booze and all the hard drugs definitely helps.
100% bro he sounds great
It's actually unbelievable.. it's awesome to hear and I'm sure he's enjoying this 🫶🏼
Zakk fuckin Wylde, you are can do it! FUCK
F U C K I N G RIGHT Bro!
Love how Phil is prepping for the solo, pointing to Zack
This makes me happy.
Phil, Rex, Zac and Charlie, thanks for for doing this. Everyone needed to hear these songs again.
Not long til I see you in Australia and it’s gonna be epic.
Going to be epic man. I have been lucky enough to see hellyeah and down. I cant believe im gonna be lucky enough to see these guys live. The crowd is going to fucking be epic
When are they coming to Australia? I'm in Indonesia and I would so buy some plane tickets and go there just to see them.
Hell yes, that's how to do it Zakk! He actually learned the real solo! And Phil sounds so good.
IMO this I'd such an iconic solo that if they were gonna do this song, he HAD to do it note for note. Freelancing on this one would be a heavy metal cardinal sin of the highest degree.
Zakk is absolutely the Master here ..
he feels R.I.P DIMEBAG ..AWESOME
I saw Pantera in 2023, I saw Zakk 6 times since I am 9 years old, Floods helped me during the hardests moments in my life, The Outro is probably the loudest thing in my heart, I would give anything to listen it again for the first time. Thanks Pantera, RIP DIMEBAG RIP VINNIE
Phil sounds amazing
Соло в этой композиции и концовка, это лучшее что я слышал.🤘🔥👍
God that was beautiful 😢 RIP Dime and Vinnie

I wasn't there too but I ain't bitchin or been salty, boy. Your comment is intelligent as we have asked to dig out Abbott brothers and bring them to stage. Let them rest, let their heritage lives!
Dude grow a set man. Its a metal solo , it's not comfortably number wtf lol
This is so fucking amazing! Zakk nailed it.
That was awesome its just sad that Dime and Vinnie aren’t here play their song anymore.Dime and Vinnie must be very happy that Zakk and Charlie are Helping with there legacy. RIP DIME AND VINNIE 🤘🎸🔥🤘🎸🔥
No, they aren't happy
I saw Pantera last night at Knotfest in Melbourne. My first time since 1996. They were really good, Zakk and Charlie both did a great job. Floods brought all the feels. Phil was all about the fans and the brothers all night. You could see how emotional he was getting even now after doing this for a year. RIP Dime and Vinnie.
If anyone ever asks me what to listen to so they can get an understanding of what dime was as a musician, its the solo in floods no question. Zakk nailed it
One of my favourite songs by St. Dime ❤
Goosebumps dude, Goosebumps! Amazing job Zakk, Dime would be proud!
I like how Phil added an intro tribute to Dimebag Darrell at first before playing Floods because I think this was Dimebag's favorite he liked a lot & I agree with him. Hail Phil H. Anselmo & the rest of the old members from Pantera that made me inspired their music especially Down, Superjoint Ritual etc.
This solo was ABSOLUTELY dimes baby, and considered it his crowning achievement. I would have bet against them ever doing this song, but Zakk did an outstanding job. Bravo.
Goosebumps on goosebumps!…… knowing the bond that was between Zack and Dime makes this performance and lineup so special.
🤟
My god... Zakk. Thank you.
OH MY GOD!!!!! FLOODS!!!!!
One of the greatest!greatest! greatest! song on this planet! We heard it again live. I'm very happy and i nearly cried while watching 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
Dime playin through Zakk! Just incredible! This is why im all for it.
Crazy that Dime worked on that solo since the 80s during their power metal days using it while performing guitar solos, he finally placed it in Floods for the Great Southern Trendkill album
Zakk nailed it 😊
I've seen Pantera 5 times and I don't even have words for how awesome this performance was by all 4 members! I can't wait till August!
Geez Zakk nailed the solo. Phil, though sounds fucking on point! Uff the melody and power together is something else!
I'll give credit when it's due, Zakk Wylde great guitar solos a tribute to dimebag his solo was phenomenal 🤘🤘🤘 and the outro part too
Thank you so much Zakk for making this whole tour possible...hard not to get a little emotional watching Pantera play live though
Seeing them next month in Adelaide, Australia. Pumped to see they've added Floods to their set. Hopefully they play it. 🤘🤘
Wow. What an addition to the set list! Zakk payed tribute to Father Dime like no other, solo was spot on with all the feels and grooves. Can’t wait to see them this summer at Gillette!!! LFG!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 The almighty PanterA lives on forever!!!
Zakk, awesome!!
Great work Zakk!!!
Zakk absolutely nails the solo & outro, which are the soul of this song. Damn impressive. Solid professional.
This music must be played live to live forever... outro caused goosebumps, just like 28 years ago.
OUTSTANDING AS USUAL!!!
Chills down my Spine...Epic shit. Well done Zakk.
I am so sad they did not play floods when i saw them live last year. damn.
Miss the brother s...but that was impressive ASF...RIP LEGEND S. And yes Zak slayed it 🤘🏻
Sounded great. RIP Dime. Thanks to the group for bringing that back.
As soon as he did the solo I got goosebumps. Man that was a special moment. I shed a few tears
There will never be another Dimebag but damnit Zak is as close as you can get. Dude killed it.
Zakk’s playing is incredible. Undeniable
Oh my god.... I'm in tears man... thank you Zakk R.I.P DIME VINN
I was hoping so bad that they would play this at the Austin concert. It would be a dream come true to see them play this live😔
As a lifelong metal head, it pissed me off hearing people bashing this tour and especially Zakk. Seeing original pantera...nothing compares, but these dudes stepping up and filling the huge shoes of the Abbott bros and bringing us tunes of this quality...hollow, domination, suicide note, planet caravan. Zakk doesnt have it in him to fuck any of that up.
Yes indeed! I feel the same way. I saw original Pantera on their last tour, absolutely nothing compares but huge respect to Zakk and Charlie for absolutely killing it every night to honor the Abbott brothers! 🤘
No zakk is garbage as is whatever clown they got to take Vinnies spot. Phil tried to get Vinnie to come back with zakk doing guitars and Vinnie said over my dead body. Rex is a nobody that's easily replaces so no one cares what he has to say the brothers never did. Zakk knew and knows how much the brothers despised Phil. Now we can move onto Phil who has only had very very minimal success with his other bands. He's been trying to get his cash cow back since the brothers left. It's a cash grab and I'm sure zakk is sick of playing pubs for 3000$ a night with bls and is trying to ride the gravy train that is pantera since ozzy don't tour no more.
So no its disgraceful to the brothers, Rex knows it but he's a literal no body.. zakk knows it, and Phil knows the brothers would rather be dead than have their names attached to anything he does. You think its weird that Phil had been begging for a reunion for 20 years and now it's going on after the 2 founding members have passed? Naw zakk is a garbage human and I hope dime spits in his face and walks away from him for eternity for stabbing him in the back for money
Metal isn’t metal anymore. It’s been wussified. Metal sounds like a bunch of girls trying to dream and bang their heads. It’s disgraceful on all levels. To me it sounds like manga animation crap getting mixed in. The new so called heavy is pathetic. Nothing today can hang with PANTERA. Slipknot is probably the closet…SLAYER,anthrax, megadeth and lamb of god to me are legendary. Metallica.. well should I saw old Metallica was god when they came out with the AND JUSTICE FOR ALL ABLUM was epic but after that they got a little weird and sold out to be more commercially driven. Just like hip hop/rap.. nothing comes close to the BEASTIE BOYS,DRE,ICE T,ICE CUBE,NWA,RUN DMC.. all this new junk is putrid.
Don’t let these downers get to you. Every show has been a blast for these guys and full of love and so good…it’s the ones who don’t go that complain and are the clowns. Trust me for every one clown there are 1000 happy people
@michaelborgias5332 can't wait to see them again this year, doobie in one hand cerveza in the other haha
I cried. This means so much to me. Zakk nailed it. ❤

Glad Zakk took the time to learn the solo, instead of free styling . Nailed it.
Some solos need to be noted for note, this being one of them
Keep the memory alive !

I know Dime is smiling from heaven. Gossebumps.
I saw them play at Knotfest in Melbourne only a week ago and I was blown away Phil's voacals were awesome , Zac did a great job covering a legend as did Charlie Benante on the drums and Rex on the bass nothing needs to be said there
this peace of solo in the end will be live in our souls forever…
This touches the heart and brings out the memories and tears. I’m so amazed and grateful they put this song on the list, replacing “Planet Caravan” which I saw in Milwaukee. The whole band slayed this tune- and it’s a beautiful tribute to the Brothers.
I'm thinking I might have to go to green bay in a few weeks.i saw them in milwaukee also.
Rex never gets the credit he deserves for his bass during the instrumental.
He's does from me my friend. Rex is a beast
Every Dime solo just has that "fuck it, I'm going for it" feel. A lot of players try that and fail. Dime had the real sprinkles, a legend lost. RIP
man i was here and it was such an incredible performance. for my first concert ever, they didnt let me down at all. and lamb of god played here, too, i love both of them so much
I listened to the original the night vinnie died, I was crushed man! This was a great song and the guys did a great job.
