give me a parkway drive concert on youtube where they dont sound good? In the last few years their live sound has drums with this over-compressed sound with no dynamics. Its good for the first 10 seconds but you get sick of it. Snare sounds like a electronic drum kit. sounds like a joke in fast songs. Bass drum sounds like a type writer. why have a $2000 acoustic kit and make it sound like a midi instrument? the period 2008-2012 is my favourite. More natural, more character.. While you can criticise older music for flaws at least it had character and you could tell a band from the sound, it wasnt generic sounding. Some of their cds sound odd. whats going on with horizons. You can barely make out the vocals, the drums are too quiet and the producer edited it so much its sterile and lost its feel.
My boys have come so far since seeing them at my local University bar with about a hundred other people and one smoke machine. I'm so fucking proud! Aussie aussie aussie!
Wish they'd go back to their original sound but still so happy for them, I haven't liked much of anything past Deep Blue blue but I'm glad they made it to this level. I hope they do a tour of the first two albums like they did the 10 year Horizons tour but make it a world tour.

I am in also awe on how much coin since they formed and their pub gigs but I don’t have a lambo nor puppy… but I have a galah I’m now teaching the moshing ways to with 3 mini versions of me also 😂

I agree it was the first song I looked for here. I think they do it in their 90 minute sets but not the 60 minute sets. I just wish the still did the track Horizons.

I remember seeing them in a club in Kansas City in 2010. It was packed and they were touring deep blue when it came out. Insane to see how much growth they’ve had in 15 years or so. Winston was screaming in my face and I was getting kicked in the head by stage divers that whole show. Idols and anchors sounded as good as ever here
do you remember guys the moment when you first heard the song darker still? it's one in a lifetime experience, what a masterpiece of a song! it's nice to hear it from time to time, but nothing beats the first time when you hear it and you be like "wow", left speechless
I was studying for my marketing exam with a friend playing the album on TV. Darker Still ended and we looked at each other he said "I liked that song", I responded "I'm gonna play it again" "hell yeah" Amazing song even more amazing live performance

Parkway are so incredible!! There guitar riffs that aren't the typical metal core riffs, with the beautiful leads and melodies. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
