One short question: is it possible to record from a "normal" X-USB card too when having installed the X-Live drivers on the computer (e.g. if I have two consoles one with X-Live and one with X-USB card installed)?
I have had both sets of drivers installed and I had two different X32 mixers hooked up. You can have drivers from the X-live card and the x-usb card installed at the same time and it should work. ASIO is only going to recognize one mixer at a time in your DAW app
the X-Live card can also handle bigger SD-card than 32 GB. But you can´t format SD cards with more than 32 GB within the card (x32 / m32 mixer) You have to insert larger SD cards into your computer and format them to fat32 if you want to erase recordings on them an reuse the cards with the X-Live card. Please always test the cards before use. That is also useful for 32 GB cards. The card have to be fast enough (Class 10).
Hi, isn't it possible to just record your multi tracks to the SD cards? Super thanks for videos. Also, when you update your firmware, do you lose your scenes or settings?
yes you do record your multi tracks to the card but windows can't read it. none of the files make no sense when you call them up in windows explorer. None of the DAW applications on your computer can read the card either. If you record live you need to transfer those recordings into your computer for final mix and mastering.
Great video! Looking forward to the rest of the series
Thanks Ailen, I am editing the next one now.
thanks for this video.Q: can you record with the SD cards while at same time out puts go to front of house? thanks
yes you can
The detail given in your video was a great help to me. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!

HI and thanks for the great video. Just wondering...Is it possible to
record to the usb thumb drive and the SD X-Live expansion at the same
time?
I don't think so
yes it is possible. You can record on both at the same time. Easy to do with X32Edit.
