  • How to enhance guppy color? Improving the color of guppy fish involves understanding their genetics and employing effective techniques. Guppy color genetics determine the potential hues of these fish, ranging from vibrant oranges and blues to striking reds and yellows. To enhance guppy color, aquarists can use specialized color enhancers and ensure a balanced diet rich in nutrients. Proper grooming and care practices are crucial in maintaining the health and vibrancy of their scales. Regular monitoring of water quality and providing a stress-free environment further support guppy color development. By following these steps, enthusiasts can effectively improve and intensify the natural beauty of their guppies, creating a lively and colorful aquarium display.

Good video, I like guppies, they are cute and peaceful, but I gotta be honest here. I keep Mickey Mouse platies in a 20g tank, they known to be good community fish, but honestly they aren't that. They have this weird tendency to swim close to every other kind of fish and just stare at their face and I swear thats annoying af to every other type of fish. If anyone keep em with neon tetra or harlequin rasbora then be careful, because platies can form gangs and chase every smaller and more peaceful fish. They are also attack weak, old and sick fish like savages, in that case separation is recommended. There's only 2 fish on this planet which can be happy living with platy fish: first is the molly fish, second is the mexican swordtail. Mollies act similarly, so they must be ok, and the swordtails can hit well if they are annoyed, as they are the big boys among the livebearers.

@@aquadiaryofficial I totally had to share this for the exact same reason what you mentioned, it's better if the beginners know platy fish is not always the best tank mate for a smaller, more fragile ultra cute guppy. These tiny colorful guppies need something very peaceful fish to live with. I would try neon tetra, lambchop rasbora, corydoras catfish/pigmy cory or maybe some common ancistrus, not the zebra patterned ones, because those are territorial like bettas.
