- Tensions are high as our epic 3 year project sees water for the first time since the rebuild. What can possibly go wrong..?
Check the boat out as we unveil the completion of the structural fiberglass and cosmetic restoration phase of this yacht.
Take a trip with us from the boat yard to the dock, the new location where this project will commence.
I love seeing these older boats being restored. Looks great so far.
Thank you! Still lots more to come!
I love the approach angle of the bow and the full v to the stern. Its gonna ride amazing.
Boats come a long way Terry
Thanks Rob. Need to get with you for the lightning when the time comes!
Looking good terry
Can’t wait to see the interior! 😮
Tight work sir 🫡
Man ,you got a long way to go ! Good luck you have a great start!
Really interesting, look forward to the project progressing!
I think you started this ambitious project with a very worthy yacht…built back in the day when fiberglass hulls were totally overbuilt because we didn’t know what they could withstand…i don’t care what marine architects say…i say that there is no replacement for displacement…
this yacht is going to part the seas like moses!…
That was my thoughts when taking this hull on
and when you get back to the dock from a day on the seas dragging baits, your crew will not be beat up like many others …
Let’s goooooooo
awesome content, please invest in a camera so the video is bright and crisp...see you at 100K subsribers
Awesome, you should keep making videos on this! love it. Do the detroits run?
Thank you yes they do. I will do a separate episode on Just the mechanical
Captian, with out prying into your Financial business to much. Would you be able to tell us views how much a working Boat yard fee per year is on a Vessel like the Hatteras ?
I was getting hooked up around 2500$ a month. Then the yard switched ownership and the fees went to about 7k a month. Kinda why we switched rythem to get it float-able so we could avoid the yard fees with it back behind my residence
@@Onpointcustommarine At those prices a large project that will take a long period of time is unsustainable . The math will longer let these restoration projects happen. At least in the Marina’s close to water😢
Where are the other two fuel tanks and where are the air intakes for the engine room?
No air intakes cut out yet. Still debating the design on those. Ditching the center tank for more engine room space. Building back the forward tank with extra capacity to make up for what’s lost in the engine room
You guys did all that work and didnt install trim tabs??
Much farther down the road. Wil haul again for those, led lights, transducers, etc later on
Do you know what the original name of this boat was?
Seven Joys IV
What year is the boat?
1969
