Building Ferrari's all electric wooden boat. (Part 1)

- Part-2 is now available: • Building Ferrari's all...
As an amateur hobbyist boat builder, I decided to replicate the Ferrari's designer Frank Stephenson's custom made Slipper launch electric boat.
I used designs from Dan Lee : @DanLeeBoatbuilding the plans are drawn by naval architect Michel Berryer which in my opinion way superior to Glen-L's blueprints. Modern boat building is evolving and being able to navigate a 3D modeled blueprint with optional CNC cut components is the future of the wooden boat building.
I apologize for the mistakes that you may have noticed. I didn't even held a hammer before 2020 :) and boat building is an unending learning process.
My friend Bob is also working on one of Dan's designs Temptress. You may follow him on@Polymerman
Stay tuned for the part-2.

Update: Part 2 is coming in 2-3 weeks. Im about to install the engine and then I'll turn the boat.
We’ve been waiting sir
Really looking forward! Where are you based?
we have been waiting indeed
We await your upload sir
So not 2-3 weeks then…
"As an amateur hobbyist boat builder" - you are a pro man! I want part 2 NOW! 😍
Of course he is a pro, look at the tools. This is not a hobby for this guy, it's his job
I was using my table saw exactly the same way you are here when the blade caught a knot in the wood and pulled it through really fast. I thought I was so fast and reacted quick enough to let go of the wood before it cut me. (four fingers cut almost off. I was lucky to keep them. ) It wasn't until I felt the blood shooting out of my hand that I realized I wasn't as quick as I thought. It only takes one time and it happens faster than you think. You are getting your hand way to close to that blade. Other than the closeness to the saw, I love the work you are doing. Great channel!
Thank you for your concern. That is my biggest fear as I’m in healthcare and my fingers are my life. Just for that reason I’ve bought a saw stop. It won’t help with kickback but I hope it will save my fingers in case of an accident.
The phrase "you can never have enough clamps", could not be any truer for this build. Well done, great skills!!
At one point which is not on the movie, I used in total 126 clamps of various sizes. And I needed more..
I took wood shop for 4 years in HS, and that comment made me smile for my old teachers. That’s a long time ago. 😊
Working with tiber life must be wonderful to have a CAD machine cut out intricate parts and setting out your patterns. Planking is where the real craftsmanship starts I am envious.
This is so immensely rewarding just to watch. Thank you for taking the time to document this build. I'm handicapped yet love the thought of building a boat from scratch. Watching you bring this to life is so therapeutic.
It’s really nice to watch someone build in such an organized and precise way. You make it look easy because you’re very talented. I can only imagine how proud you must be of it. ❤
This was just like a beautiful journey, the videography, the music, still the tool sounds… absolutely stunning. Thank you for this. Earned a new subscriber, well deserved. ❤
Holy crap man, I was so into that video that I completely blocked out what was going on around me, I was in a trance. You’ve earned my subscription that’s for sure, i can’t wait to see more of this. Amazing job sir
your submariner looks great, love seeing watches being worn while working hard labor. good job on the boat
Not gonna lie: I clicked this video thinking it would be like a small model boat or something. Turns out it's a full blown boat boat! Pleasantly surprised. Excellent work, sir! Can't wait for the rest of the build!
As an 'amateur hobbyist', ☺ however, you work like a professional and above all you have the necessary machines at your disposal! 👍
So wonderful to see. True craftsmanship. I was born and raised on this concept. Thank you for not letting this skill die 🙏🙏
Luar biasa
Thank you very much for sharing this amazing result so far! I had so much joy from all the techniques, music and tool sounds🤙🏼 wish you all the best💪🏼
Fantastic work, it is great to see these designs coming to life!
Oh wow! A 4’x8’ lofting floor! Genius. Like laying out a balsa airplane but not really.
It is very tempting to close my eyes and just listen to the background music but at the same time the way you work and what you do is similarly captivating not to miss watching you work. Pitty u have only a few videos out to watch
cool to see how modern technology 3D CAD + CNC milling is combined in boat building technology of the past century. Insanely beautiful project and what a dedication to do most of it in multi-layer construction. Like many other comments: bring on part 2!
I’ve built guitars, have no interest in building boats but this appeared in my feed and now you have a new subscriber! Excellent craftsmanship with a mixture of new and old technology. It’s the future of hobby and professional woodwork. Can’t wait for part 2!
WRITE F PUT INJECTION
My interest in woodwork and sailing brought me to your channel and I’m fortunate for this. Great videography, story telling and the choice of music is spot on! I look forward to seeing your journey in this build. I noticed a (no date?) Sub and an Aquanaut, you must love horology and water sports I assume 😊
Fantastic work Serdar. As Marilyn's designer, its especially gratifying to see her being built so well. Bravo. I look forward to Video #2. Also, I greatly enjoyed listening to Bach whilst watching you work. I listen to Bach, often, as I'm designing. Very nice.
Thanks so much for sharing your build and skills.
Congratulations on this achievement, you are doing a great job and without fuss. Your videos are really enjoyable to watch, I look forward to your next ones.😊😊😊
9:25 never heard someone playing the multitool as good as you ❤
Your channel is gonna blow up! That was incredible can’t wait for part 2
It's been a long time since I've been genuinely impressed by anything I've seen on youtube and boy, you've knocked it out of the park. The dedication and attention to detail you have is phenomenal. I can easily see you becoming a huge channel FAST if you keep this course. Legitimately shocked you don't already have ten times the subscribers, for the quality of your craft and videography. Wish you the best in this build, excited to see more. Liked and subscribed.
Wow, incredible craftsmanship!
Great job, impressive the way you analyse and adjust it as you go 👌
I am very impressed!! I would love to learn how to build it too! Materials, time frames etc! This is awesome
The Evanescence cover slaps! 😁👌 Amazing work.
:) Rabbim nazardan korusun abi. Sevgi ve saygı ile...

Everyone is like "nice build" but I'm seriously digging the Billie Eilish piano cover. Also nice build.
So what Dan Lee is s doing but you're not frocking around and finding out at 1/4 scale. In super hyper fast mode! Right on! Can't wait for part two. Will be interesting to see how you eventually flip it. Looks great!

Um. WOW. Love this simplicity of this video - making a complex and highly skilled trade - look so simple and sound so relaxing! Looking forward to the next video and - the sea trial! Kudos for using wood rather than glass and expoxies. Qualifies for a shout out to the Green Boater Community! #onemillionboater pledge.

Amazing work!!!
Very good job pleasant to see
1:14 only now realising this is not a scale model build!!! Hahaha! Incredible!
Can't wait for part2!!!
Great Work...can't wait to see it floating !
that piano evanescence melody was a nice touch
wainting for the second part !
Looks lovely
Wood, one of the most impressive materials. Great video!
Great craftmanship and great shop by the way. Keep up the good work! Really got jealous of the equipment in your shop:D
Tesekkurler.
DOOUBLE CONTROL FOR TIREDENES HANDDLINGS,WE DESIGNED.
Prachtig! Complimenten voor jouw ambacht! Dit is hoog niveau 😮
Geweldig!
Very interesting. I've been following a lot of these wooden boat builders using "traditional craftmanship" and techniques. But when I see your approach it's so obvious it is the right way to go. Really good craftmanship and videografy skills. Subscribed
Incredibly nice work love the background music also.👍👍👍🇺🇸
One step closer to gaining the skill set to build porko Rosso plane. Great work
very good video and project.
Beautiful!👍👏😊
can't wait for part 2! 😄
Weird flex but when i saw the bushes at 7:30 i knew this guy is in the Netherlands. Anyhow the algorithm as done me well by recommending this video on my feed today.
I'm so lucky to be able to watch your channel, the work you do is my dream.
When will you post part 2? This is so beautiful!!!
Amazing video
It’s really fantastic !!! I love it you are perfect
Amazing details and craftsmanship that is a pleasure to watch. What is the Ferrari connection?
Looking good
Heyecanla ikinci parti bekliyoruz
To me this is very enjoyable work it’s not something you get up to daily and regret. It’s not really work if you love it. Crafting an entire vessel by hand like this is more of a relationship you are intimate with every surface.
