Your upload was perfectly timed! Just bought a set of Tech V2s and seals. I am about to rebuild. Thanks for the video!

Brilliant, just got seal kits for my m4 evo callipers and tech master cylinders, as even my brakes were bled by hope themselves they’d loose bite after a while and pull to the bars as the seals are worn.

The caliper should be rebuilt with brake fluid, this negates the risk of seal reaction and is the very lubricant the system uses throughout it's service life. On the Evo version of this lever the lever pivot bolt/pin has a grub screw locking it into place making it impossible to remove/fall out. Great video

I have a tech lever that keeps on sticking, replaced the seal kits every year or less, no idea why, maybe i should try cleaning it instead of replacing kits endlessly. Thanks for this vid!

What grease are you using ? I think somewhere here i tell the story of how i fucked up using slick honey.
Been on red rubber grease for every other lever i have ever rebuilt and all of them are running flawlessly years later

Damn! I was hoping for you to show the removal of the reach screw at 12:32 as I can‘t figure out how to do it without messing it up. I guess the edge of the screw is too rough to let me screw it out.

An i was trying so hard to show it but its the biggest pain in the ass to get on without fucking up the lever :(

The lever is bent anyway (same as it was for you) so can throw that away anyway. Forced it out now and was able to screw it into the new one just nicely.
Now i found another part broken on my derailleur screw 🙈🙈🙈
      Fuck‘s sake, these bikes eh!!!!
