    My one gripe about mass gatherings of angels like this is that by their own design and nature, mass groupings like this should make them very vulnerable since they can stun lock each other by looking at each other, and clearly some of them here were not covering their faces. I get that it's more cinematic, but realistically, it's a terrible idea for the angels to not cover their faces.

    As with far too much during the Chibnall era this was a striking, dramatic moment... that ultimately resulted in a 'meh' outcome. It's like he and his writers thought of vignettes or specific scenes they wanted to do and then just cobbled together a 'story' around those isolated pieces. As a result every episode had some high points while overall lacking cohesiveness or consistency. This truly was a very intriguing action - turning The Doctor into a Weeping Angel; it's unfortunate that the concept was not then effectively built upon.

    @basimaziz ปีที่แล้ว +11

    So I just started getting into Dr. Who recently.
    I thought the angels didn't exist when observed. But apparently they're still there, but just can't move now.
    There's a difference between "not existing when observed" and "Literally all senses still function, but they just can't move."
    The first one creates, effectively, wild animals who live with a curse. They can never be looked upon or they cease to exist, until unobserved again.
    Can't look at each other, can't be seen by others, nothing.
    This kind of miserable, tortured existence would make a creature feral, angry, hateful, and lash out at anything that's not it's own species.
    But... here they're like... What? Making plans? Plotting?
    I like the original angels concept.
    Eldritch beings with a truly endless capacity for hate, cruelty, and violence. Simple, hateful things that will hunt you down and kill you. Not sure of all the context but, this is my least favorite depiction of the weeping lads.
