In this one, I bolt the Nova's Kirkey Racing Seats into their final location and add a nifty backbrace to the driver's seat from ‪@Scramspeed‬. The main hoop plane funny car bars also get tacked into their final locations as well.

Another great video. I really enjoy all the detail you show, even calling out the bars by the SFI spec. number. I am going to be building a chassis very similar to this very soon and this has given me ton of information that will be invaluable. Keep 'em coming!

Awesome! I'm glad it has been helpful! I will endeavor to do so. The SFI books are kinda vague, which can be good (leeway) and bad (What will the inspector want to see?), but I try to do everything as to-the-rules as I possibly can. It's always good to be on the safe side. I wish you the best of luck with your chassis project! It's a lot of work, but they are neat as they come together. Thanks for watching!

Very nice. That's going to be an awesome car when you're done. Wish I could have you do all this to my 72 Vega.

Thank you! I can't wait for it to be a running, driving machine. Vegas are cool! Thanks for watching!

Yeah! Nice work. The seats look awesome. I’m thinking of getting a pair for my 69 Dodge Dart.
Interesting you didn’t put in the FC Belt tubes until you mounted the seat. Smart move dude!

Thank you! It's important that the harnesses are angled and positioned properly. The seat can be moved in relation to the harness bar if necessary, but it's nice to be able to position those tubes to where they need to be with the driver positioned where he/she wants to be in the car. The Kirkey seats are simple and light, which makes them popular, but something like a Racetech containment seat can add safety for more serious setups at additional cost and are a little trickier to fit. Thanks again for watching!

Question. Will that car be getting a headliner in it when you are finished? Love the bar layout and supports on the back half area. Should be very strong.

Thanks! I put a lot of thought into the backhalf design. The car may be getting a one-piece headliner. The owner of the car does want it covered/finished in some way. Thanks for watching!

Very nice job everything looks great... where did you get the deburing drill bit? Keep up the great videos very informative

Thank you! It's a 45* (90* total angle) 1" 6 Flute Countersink bit from Drill America. It's pretty handy, but if you go too fast and don't push hard enough it will chatter, or "washboard" the beveled surface. I will endeavor to keep the videos coming. Thanks for watching!
