@@Silverado5.3 I've not done may LS swaps but, if you think I can help, don't hesistate to let me know. By the way, the last one I did was a Gen V L83, drive by wire into a 1962 International Scout (seen in my other videos). I kept and used the original harness and was also able to make the drive by wire operate properly. I was pleasantly surprised it all worked.
@@nicehotrods I am getting a 5.3 99-02 for my swap. A guy is going to go through it and make sure everything is good and he does a stand alone harness and tunes the ecu then I will start. My 85 needs rewiring anyway so I may just get an inexpensive harness and use what I need.
kind of over thought it it a bit. i used the same cable, all i did was remove the cable from the cable sheath and then fed the cable though the petal hole and into the cable sheath that i had bolted into the firewall not utilizing the eyelot end on the cable
Dang! So sorry, just saw this. Unfortunately, I do not know what mounts or pan were used. Another shop did the install, I just made it run. I'd be happy to send photos, if that would help. The engine is currently on a stand in the shop as we're in the process of painting the Chevelle. Thanks a bunch for the reply and my apologies for not replying sooner.
Nice job. I am going to do a swap over the winter and wanted to see the throttle cable install. Thanks.
So glad you found this helpful. Good luck with the swap. Thank you for the comment.
@@nicehotrods thanks be my 1st ls swap.

Hope you’re coming back to TH-cam!! New Subscriber 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can you send a link for the bracket that holds the cable?
Sorry, car is gone and I don't have any of the information.
What mounts and oil pan was used for the swap?
