  • This is the 3D animation of Deep Space 9 from Star Trek. Enjoy! #startrek
Deep Space 9, originally known as Terok Nor, was one of the most historically, politically, and strategically important space stations in the Alpha Quadrant during the latter half of the 24th century.
The space station was constructed by Bajoran slave labor overseen by the Cardassians in orbit of Bajor during their occupation of the planet.
Under the Federation administration following the Cardassian withdrawal, the station was relocated into the Denorios belt.
There, DS9 became a vital commercial port and defensive outpost due to its location near the mouth of the wormhole.
It later became a key strategic location during the Dominion War for both the Dominion and the Federation Alliance.

As a child I was a big fan of Next Generation. Then came DS9 and I liked it at first. After the 2nd season I loved it! Some weeks ago I decided to binge watch DS9 again and I must say that I now recognized how well written and played this series is. Such deep discussions of topics and the chraracters (I really appriciate Garak for example), it really makes me happy while watching it.

I assume a video is fully listened to and watched before it is published. It's certainly difficult to get something 100%, but when fanatical people give feedback, then you also have them already sources. Otherwise, it looks like you're delivering a good video, while missing public confirmations.

The ops diagram layout is wrong. The monitor screen is on the left side of the office if you are walking out of the office. In this video there is the transporter pad ware the screen is. O’Brian’s station is actually ware the screen is in this video and so it the teleporter. When you get off the lift the telapad is directly to the right. And O’Brian’s desk is to the left of that if you are looking at it.

I was a latecomer to DS9, as I am to this video, because I preferred Babylon 5 back in the day. I found DS9, at least the early seasons, a little slow for my liking, with B5 being more action packed. With age comes a better appreciation of DS9, which ahs also aged better, and thus do enjoy it more in middle age than I did in my 20s.

Great work ... very detailed. You have a couple 'Turbo Lift' misidentification issues. In Ops you've identified 2 turbo lifts (very similar to the turbo lifts in Starfleet Starships ) both either side of the viewscreen - they did not exist. Instead the big oval section of flooring (to the left of the viewscreen when facing it) is the Cardassian version of a turbo lift. Similarly in 'Quark's' the 2 turbo lifts do not exist and the layout is incorrect - especially the Dabo Table which was more central. Sure; a bit nitpicky - however we Deep Space Niners are a passionate bunch!

there has been little talk of what the bathrooms were like, and how were they built, in star trek, there was synthetic gravity so they should not be much different from the ones we use, perhaps they employed transporter technology to beam wastes directly from a person, for reprocessing, this should reduce the water needed.

@@radeksparowski7174 the replicators, set be set to restrict curtain items ie weapons, food that would be harmful, I think they could be set to not replicate any thing illegal, drug addiction seems not to be a problem in the federation as for bathrooms, in Star Trek enterprise, captain archer is using water shower, in Star Trek voyager captain Jainway is enjoying a bubble bath, this implies that the problem of a sufficient amount of available water was solved, star fleet vessels do have water storage ability though to use amounts water for showers
And baths would be problematic, replicators would supply drinking water, in one of the Star Trek novels, it way stated that only officers had water showers the rest of the crew used sonic showers, uniforms were recycled and new ones were replicated, being fictional universe, it’s difficult to determine how daily life aboard a starship would actually
