Volunteering for a hs track team is not a silly idea, chris korfist coaches tracks at local hs even though he is a huge coach. Imagine the amount on knowledge you can gain experimenting on 30-50 lab rats every day. And you can be more in touch with all types of athletes vs just med to high lvl athletes

Hi, im not a jumper, but I was a sprinter when I was younger here in Mexico, not many tracks here and those that exist are in bad condition, at least in my area.
You can try to find a park, field (probably soccer or football fields are also off limits for you but maybe easier to find one open).
Sprinting in grass or dirt is ok, you can't get to the speeds that you can in an actual track with spikes (and im not the coach you are), but I worked top speed and long jumps on grass a lot to preserve by tendons. There are also football spikes to train explosive starts in dirt/grass.

Hey John. I don't know if you heard, but Obi Toppin might've touched the top of the backboard after getting a loose ball. I'd love to see your reaction to it, maybe you can make a video about it and give a few takes on it and talk about some of the highest max touches you've ever seen. Thanks.

wasn’t top of the backboard, touched the bottom of a ball that was already a few inches lower.

Yo. What is the difference of pushing/pulling hard fast the eccentric and just dropping/free falling the eccentric fast? What's the difference and which is better for improving vert and explosiveness?

Hey, thanks for sharing all that knowledge, as always! I have one silly question: I noticed you and Isaiah never put those safety things to lock the plates on the barbell. On your snatch we can see the plates move all over the place. Is there a reason for that? Thanks!

Are high pulls the optimal methode to improve relative power clean numbers? Because I struggle to improve my powerclean. My hang snatch is good (. 8 powerclean). single leg hang clean is also good. But It seems like my body doesn't like heavy loads.. I'm don't think that weight room numbers are important. But I and you probably too see a correlation between powerclean and jumping performance. This seems to be true for many athletes, even for World record holders..

surely you can find a park or something where you can do sprints.
