Hi Austin it's nice to see your attention to detail on the work you do good job all around......just thought I would mention to make sure there is a spring inside your lower radiator hose it has the potential to collapse when you're cruising around and cause an overheating issue....been there done that.....keep up the good work!!

In reference to the sanitary fittings(tri-clamp ferrule), they are tube dimensions, so the OD is 1" and the ID is typically 0.87" of you have .065" wall fittings. But, It sounds like since use are using stock volkswagon hoses that the dimensions are in metric units, so that very well may be your problem with not being able to find the right fit

Loom looks legit. As long as it doesn’t leak I wouldn’t worry about it

After you get the lift installed a lathe would be very nice to have to make exactly what you want.

I have no clue how people do this stuff without a mill and a lathe. on my swap, it took both. There is no way it could have been done without either.

They sell cheap pipe benders at home depot. I would try to bend that aluminum pipe with one of those and then trim to fit. It might not work but I think it would be better than trying to bend it in a vise with heat.

Amazon has 1x1 and 11/4 x 11/4 ICT billet hose barbs. You could cut and weld 2 of them.

I'm surprised no one up North has done a billet replacement for that coolant connection so you don't have to re-use the old hose.

Have you tried Spokane House of hose for your fittings?

    Hello. Great job.
Question! Since you are not keeping the original VW coolant reservoir tank. What you do with the 2 hoses attached to it?
I see that you just blocked the lower hose port. But what about the upper return hose on top of the reservoir?
    Thank you.
