Second attempt was awesome. Don’t overthink it. Keep experimenting until you get something you love. I think the heat gun nozzle matters and a thinner line of pigment works best.
Julie you're so hard on yourself. I think you're doing great. Nature isn't prefect! I like the parts that look that you think look don't look "round and clean" because they look more natural. 💗
Hi! I usually just do one pass to create the waves. I heat it up a bit before that pass, like you did, but I then slowly move from right to left, but only once. Like this you don’t overwork or overheat the resin. If you do too many passes with the heat gun and then torch it, the resin heats up too much in different spots. Hope this helps. 😊
I liked the soap bubble waves you have done before. Although that did look like more work. Looking forward to seeing the next layer though for this one. ❤
Michelle, on Glitz N' Glitter, has lots of great videos where she does beach scenes. Might give you ideas.❤ Although, I think your second attempt turned out stunning!
This was a cool experiment. I love seeing these. I also like that small nozzle effect on the resin. Maybe if you tilt the resin after you get your cells, it will open them them up more?
Awesome Video Julie👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
When I did a beach painting I blew the white going the other way. I put it a little above where the sand meets the water. This way it made the waves not have a straight line, it looked like the wave was breaking in the sand.
Julie, Julie, Julie, you know not to compare your work with others.😁. I the lacy parts are just right. I can’t tell you what or how to do something because you are the artist not I. Ok my issue is the waves come up onto the sand leaving the foamy lacy areas right? The waves come forward but you are pushing them out to sea? I think your work is always wonderful and after watching several resin artists on TH-cam, I enjoy your videos soooo much more than the other ladies. So please don’t be upset with me. I’m just a person trying to learn.😊❤️
I learnt from Erika from Artist Till Death. I'm sure she puts a clear line before the white as well, then pushes with the heat gun and uses torch a touch to bring in more cells.
I think you are doing a great job. Your 2nd attempt came out beautiful. Maybe try to do a push and pull for a different effect. Another option is to do a couple of layers for a more 3D effect. But most of all don't be so hard on yourself. Your pieces are unique to you.
As I mentioned yesterday, a spritz of alcohol at the point where you ended today will cause those cells to pop nicely. I have found the best white to use for waves is Let's Resin, called Ocean White paste.
Put your resin down and push it in one push with high heat and don’t go over it again. Pour, push to where u want it and then torch Don’t heat the resin as you art thinning it out
It came out beautifully the last one was beautiful. Don’t be so hard on yourself 😊 You do amazing work.
Try the top cell white from Colour Passion. This is designed for cells in resin.

The 2nd try came out Stunning Julie ❤

Michelle on Glits n Glitter has a great lesson on episode #380. You've almost got it!

Really enjoying the process. Looking good.👍 😊
You have done a wonderful job. Thank you for sharing

I also mentioned Michelle in Julie's 1st video of waves. 😊
Viewing from the caribbean beautifully done julie 🌊🌊

The second time, it definitely looks better. Keep trying. You will get it.❤
I’m enjoying watching your wave experiments
I've loved every resin piece that you've done they always turn out so beautifully!!
Your doing great sometimes it takes time to open
I think you did a very nice job...God bless

Very pretty. I blow mine from the water forward (opposite direction that you did) because the foamy part stays on the sand.
Smashing Video Julie ! Turned out beautiful !❤💕
Resin needs to be layered on the clear resin so they can move free and don’t let it get too hot before blowing it

I think it looks good

I think the effect you got looked quite natural, waves have different size bubbles in the foam.
As I mentioned yesterday, a spritz of alcohol at the point where you ended today will cause those cells to pop nicely. I have found the best white to use for waves is Let's Resin, called Ocean White paste.
I don’t ever wait for my resin to heat up when doing waves.
Beautiful.
I thought you were about to pour the coffee on there.😂
It looks good ❤❤
Super❤
Maybe use a blow dryer on the cool setting. I'm not sure, but it might work without overheating the resin.
Just touch the areas with a toothick dipped in wd 40 or silicone . It will open the resin and create cells wherever you touch it.
You _may_ be overworking it. Sometimes, it seems that the resin needs time to do its thing.
Still enjoyed the process. 😊
😊❤
😊
This might help
Would soap bubbles help? I know that's UV resin but putting it on in places you want more movement could keep you from scraping what's on the canvas.
Put your resin down and push it in one push with high heat and don’t go over it again.
Pour, push to where u want it and then torch
Don’t heat the resin as you art thinning it out
Your are definitely like me 😅 a perfectionist 🙃.. but to be honest it looks good.. your lacing looks great.. 👍 💙🩵
There should be somewhere to replace your flint in your torch maybe?
You can mist it with alcohol
Do a live
Perhaps add a little alcohol spray to make more foam bubbles or to make them larger if you want. Idk. That's a guess
