Litefighter’s customer service has been superb for well over a decade. I have a number of their products, and everything has served me well for many years of camping out. It costs some money, but it’s all good kit. This was a nice review.
I have the 1 person military issued version. Got it in brand new condition on marketplace for 100$. I had to take a decent drive to pick it up over by fort hood but it was totally worth the effort. I love it so far. Most versitile tent i could find and built to hold up to grunts.
I've got the litefighter 1 made in the usA with all the accessories, it works great so far I used it down to 24°f with the cold weather kit. Condensation collects on the rain fly and runs down and out as designed. Did have some strings that needed trimming. Haven't tested in the rain but no leaks from heavy dew.
Good stuff brother! I wholly agree regarding the QC/ QA stuff, standards must be kept whether made in house/ the US or not. Definitely a nice tent though. One of the things I don't like is that it does take up a lot of space, a couple good Tarps pack down much smaller and lighter, and the price is still a little steep for many who are either on a budget or may only use it a couple times a year.
@@STOKERMATIC I’ve had mine for going on 9 years now and it’s held up to rough PA mountains winter camping. I got a new rain fly last year to have a backup but all in all great tent.
There's a ton of reviews of it in wet cold weather. They also sell a cold weather kit. I have the 1 person and it's awesome. Worth every penny. I would trust this thing with my life in rough weather. I've had mine out in driving rain with 30 mph gusts and stayed dry. You will want the cold water kit in blowing rain tho cause the rain fly is pretty high off the ground for ventilation. Hard enough rain will splash under the fly if you don't have it staked out far enough. It takes a serious rain to do that tho. I'm sure most tents would be the same tho. At least all the ones I've owned and tested.
Love my Litefighter 1 although its a tad small, wanted a 2p version but good luck finding it. The FIDO all in 2p looks promising if it can be found for a decent bit cheaper than MSRP once its been out for a while...I'll be keeping my eyes open for it though. And here's to an oz added to the flask 😁👍
Hey Stoker. Great review from what looks like durable tent. I agree the price seems a little high but a durable tent is like an insurance policy. When you need it you need it now. Quick question; I've been looking at Mystery Ranch packs lately and just wondering if you've done any reviews on their packs? I would look forward to a "Stoked" review on their pack systems.
How to Select a Survival, EDC, or Bushcraft Backpack th-cam.com/video/Px9Cg4HlaPk/w-d-xo.html I’ve never owned one - but borrowed one for the video above. Great pack - I’m a Kifaru guy for what it’s worth.
5.9lbs for the 3 season set-up? 9lbs with the cold weather kit? That's very fair for a burlier kit. Not bad. My first "real" tent was a USMC ICS 2000 made by Diamond. That thing was brolic. At 6.5lbs, it wasn't light, but I survived the remnants of a tornado in a field with about a hundred other tenters and everybody but me and a guy using a Hilleberg and another guy using an MSR made it through the night. Sure, they may have paid almost $1000 for their shelters, but mine was only $125 new surplus. I came close to buying the LiteFighter, but managed to score a 3lb Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2 for only $412/shipped & no tax. I has to jump on that. I still think the milsurp tents are worth their weight though. Mine proved itself to me. If I had to carry a shelter forever, it'd definitely be something like this LIteFighter or another ICS or a TCOP for sure.
@@STOKERMATIC I should have clarified I meant equal models. I have the litefighter 1 and the tcop 2 I'm wondering if the litefighter 2 is bigger or smaller than the tcop 2 and same for the litefighter and tcop 1
I think that you forgot to mention, is the Mollie where you can attach it to your ruck or assault pack. I have seen another reputable review on these and another downside, not just with this or its USA made brother, but with the Lite-fighter one series as well, the cover for the tent has a very limited distance in which guylines can be staked out for better airflow in hotter climate use. And the stakes that come with that version, always prone to bending, replace with with better, couple of dollars for more than enough.
Are you going to post more on Rumble too? Dead Sarge is there with Black Scout Survival, Therapy Range, and others. I watch Rumble now more than TH-cam. Even started my own channel there. Drop on both platforms…
I think they have like TH-cam. You can do public sharing, monetized, Rumble only/Rumble and TH-cam or Rumble managed. You can post the same videos I think. Some do Rumble only, as TH-cam won’t allow set things.
@@STOKERMATIC I say some crazy shit (profanity, not flat earth!) and don't have any drama with Rumble. I stay clear of posting anything on TH-cam (except a quick intro directing people to Rumble, BitChute, or UGE Tube). They're pretty above board and tolerant. Also they recently enhanced their layout which looks more familiar to YT users and is more intuitive. Like CavCop says you can post videos on both platforms.
Super cool all in one compact set up. It is just completely beyond my means. Maybe after my $2 bill wins me $1.1 billion i can pick one up. Haha. Great video though. Thanks for the video.
I'm not a tent guy. To small for what I need .I'll say every one needs a tent big enough for the family. If not they will give you one. There's will come with perimeter security. Get your own. And use it with the family. Make it fun. But they are getting used to living in the outdoors.
They did that because they couldn't keep up with the military contract demands and still have enough to sell on the civilian market here so they outsourced overseas for the civilian market. You can still buy the ones made in the US in the surplus market. You can even get them brand new condition for cheaper than the fido line. The only noticable difference in the 2 is the camo pattern. The us made ones are ocp and the fido is woodland. They still go through the same QC here in the USA tho.
You know what's bad ? Waking up and feeling something moving under your blanket down by your feet or by your body and guess what likes warm places like warm Rocks ? A rattlesnake and other kinds of snakes. I love camping and the outdoors and I grew up on a farm and woods but I'm not fond of snakes especially with one in my bed in a tent trying to snuggle up with me and a rattlesnake smells like a goat to me and I have no use for them.
I am not convinced at all that this is *premium* product. With this price-point stakes could be purely titanium, weight could be 10x lower, space technologies could be used, and so on. Plus, delivery to Canada could be free, instead of USD$ 75.10 for FIDO 2 AI. Compare with "Big Sky" brand: delivery is free. And I don't think it will outperform 4x cheaper Chinese "3F UL" in terms of price/value/usability.

Hard to beat!
Good to know. Thank you.

I love this tent! Been using one for 4 years
I’m a fan of the litefighter.
Ain't nothin better than being in a tent in the woods watching..."documentaries".

Looks like a good tent.
Lightfighter gear is excellent!!
Luke from the outdoor gear review channel reviewed it and likes it.
I think 400 would be perfect
I have the litefighter 1 with everything it wasn't cheap but I love it!
Good looking tent and review , thanks for sharing , God bless !

Very helpful. Thanks! Although made in Vietnam the fabrics are supposed to be made in America.
I bought the litefighter fido a i. It has everything even the cold weather system 😊
Pricey tent. I also understand that you get what you pay for.
How’s that compare to the Black Diamond USMC Combat text?
Haven’t messed with them - but looks like a great set up.

Thanks for the review bud. Really enjoy your videos keep'em coming . Stay safe and be well brother. 👊😎🤙🍻🇺🇸

Did this fido 2 still have the "awning" on both sides? I see it still has doors on both sides.
Let's see it in use. Rain snow and ice...let's see that

Is condensation an issue with this tent?
Thanks for a really interesting video! This sounds like a winner! Are these tents readily available: Where to get them?
LiteFighter should have them in stock. Link to their site in the description
Looks like Litefighter is in marketing campaign, I've seen at least 6 channels doing the review, jeez 3Gs in giveaways. stay true! enjoy the gifts.

Is that the 1 person or 2 person it looks like a 2 man ?
Riggs a good boy!!!
Running a TCOP, more room for my GSD would be nice!

I'm pretty bummed.... Litefighter is now just another company that exports work that Americans need. Lets make MADE IN THE USA something great again!
Don’t forget to make WORKING in the USA great again! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Lite fighter 👎👎👎👎👎👎. Over priced P.O.S, only go up to three seasons. Every one of their tents leak.
