This is my Bluey Markets Theory and breakdown of season 1 episode 20 with all the bluey easter eggs, and discussion on the pony lady, the deleted scene of the pony poop, why buddy was so scared and indys diet issues.
I am a big fan of bluey and with season 3 airing in Australia, I thought I would do a breakdown of every episode with a small review, some spoilers, and any bluey theories that might pop up. Bluey season 1 and 2 hit disney plus two months after airing in Australia so hopefully, all of season 3 will be out for everyone soon!

@@aussiegirlmargie Honestly that's crazy to me. Just because they're kids they can't just do what they want. There are rules and she's just doing her job. That's like going to the store, buying one ice cream but taking two because they're kids.

12:36 I’ve recently cut out Sugar, Gluten, and dairy for mental health reasons and my cousin had her 9th birthday and when I denied cake she asked why. I told her and she was shocked. Well as the week goes on she’ll offer me food and I’ll tell her no because of my restrictions. Eventually she sighed, looked at me, and said, “Your just like Indie!”

I think it was intentional to have Afghan Hounds limit their diet as it would match their breeds IRL. I've heard it suggested that Heelers can both have difficulty carrying pregnancies to term and can be quite curious/nosy breeds, which ties in to Chili (and Brandy for the former) and her personality. I absolutely think Ludo was clever and subtle enough to do this!
I still find that hilarious how the pony lady's horses both look so miserable as is expected at events like this

I know, a funny bit from my life, our neighbor has horses, and when our other neighbors relatives come from out of state and bring their dogs, the dogs would go and bark at the horses, and the horses just stand their and perplex, with a look on their face like "Okay, what do now?"

Totally think so too! It was really surprising the number of fb posts and Reddit posts about it though and people saying by she was mean or complaining about her
It wasn’t exactly rude, but like it wouldn’t have hurt her at all to let a second child ride 🤷♀️ it’s not like there was a line of other kids waiting or anything, it just would’ve been kind of her to let Indy join Bluey instead of just giving the money back I think

@Jessica-ch1yi I understand your point. But as a mini horse owner, I can explain, you can only give so many rides per shift. The little horse gets tired much faster than a big one. So it's about not overworking your miniture horse by giving out free rides.
My daughter (at the time she was 4) saw Indy refuse food, she thought it was allergy related, and she loved Indy so much since she has several severe food allergies. I hope one day there can be a character that carries an Epi pen just like she has to.

Something similar in my family, my oldest son and I both have celiac, so the fact Bandit packs a lunch that had gluten free means soooo much to him!
I used to teach preschool, a child had a bday party and brought treats. My allergy is red dye 40, so not something typically avoided in school settings. I was checking the box of treats as this school encouraged teachers to also sit/eat with the kids family style. A child asked what I was doing and I casually explained my allergy and that I was checking for it in the ingredients. Kids at that age are so smart and caring. They all instantly accepted, and started sharing their allergies with the group. Several of the kids took it upon themselves to be "allergy monitors" and would ask about new foods to make sure no one was exposed to their allergens. It was so cute and sweet!
Sadly, a theory is that Indy is diabetic.😢❤❤❤

Here's an Easter Egg: The basenji who Honey's mom buys the mushrooms from is the only one during the "Bluey's money goes around the market" montage who doesn't say anything. Basenjis don't bark

I don't think she was mean. She said she was sorry Bluey didn't have enough money, and she was kind enough to give her five bucks back. She also called her a good friend. I don't consider her rude at all.

I think Disney is going crazy. It’s deleting scenes that aren’t even that bad. It’s a kids show after all kids would find it funny. I know that it’s a show for all ages but a lot of kids watch it too. :Edit: tysm for 18 likes :edit 2: TYSM FOR 40!!!

It’s actually bc the ‘Karen’ moms are crazy and go on pointless purity campaigns against all children’s media they don’t personally approve of- it’s very tiring to deal with.
While I agree on most of the others being ridiculous to remove, the horse poop joke? Yeah I don't mind not seeing that one

I think it is sooo sweet of Bluey when she gives up her pony ride to spend the money with her friend! ❤😊
I never really thought of the pony lady as mean, I literally just saw it as "The pony is too small. For both kids they would need both ponies and she isn't paying to use both. Thus, no ride." My kids never seem to have thought it was mean, either. And they've definitely questioned parts of the show in the past (Like why was Bingo at the hospital and not allowed to go home - The only time they have seen that happen IRL is when someone has had a baby, they were very confused!).
Since I didn't know the one puppers name was buddy, I just assumed he was shy. When he's putting the money into the guitar case he looks really timid/shy
Hot Take: The episode is better without the deleted scene. Ending it on Bluey saying good-bye to the pony is a perfect little somber moment.
Even if Bluey and Indie had enough money, the Pony Lady would've likely put Indie on Biscuits rather than have the two ride on the one pony.
This is because someone sitting further back on the horse (or pony in this case) than where the rider is suppose to be can cause discomfort or pain for the pony as it puts pressure on their lower backs which have much less support from the rib cage. For little, little kids it's probably not the biggest issue in the world, but generally it should be avoided.

I felt the pony ride owner wasn’t being rude, it was just a lesson Bluey had to learn.
You can’t always get what you want, especially when you have to accommodate someone else into the mix.
Bluey could have had any of the options if she hadn’t met up with Indy first, yet Bluey didn’t want Indy to be left out.
If anything it should be a lesson to kids to accept when a friend has a opportunity you don’t.
I love that Cornelius called Winton ‘sweetheart’, more Dad’s should feel free to say openly loving things to their sons.

I showed this episode to my Dutch friends when i visited them in January, and although they both loved that they did a reference to the Netherlands and adored his little stall (even with the mini windmill), they really cringed at when he was calling out “Poffertjes” wrong 😂😂😂 (for those wondering, its pronounced “Poffer-Jays” and they are TASTY AF! 😍😍😍)

I’m so glad you pointed out the pronunciation of “poffertjes” in this episode. As an Aussie with strong Dutch heritage, it has always bugged me that the accent and pronunciation from the Dutch dog is so painfully wrong, it honestly sounds a bit racist😭 If you’re wondering how to actually say it, it’s pronounced “poff-fer-t-yes”, except just say that really fast😂

In regards to the censorship, here are my two cents on the matter of why it might have been censored:
The poop in question is shown coming out of the pony, which could be seen as a bit much for the age demographic that Bluey has here in America/ on Disney (which is to say, preschoolers). While other shows like "Rugrats" for example may also have poop jokes, those characters at least wear diapers so the poop isn't explicitly shown on-screen. In fact, a lot of toilet humor in America I've noticed is usually more "saying poop is funny" rather than actually showing the stuff, unless it's something that's more sound-effect based like a fart (or "fluffy" in Bluey). Plus while a lot of kid cartoons do have toilet humor, those shows are usually in the TV-Y7 rating bracket, whereas Bluey might have more restrictions being TV-Y. Of course we are seeing some censorship being pulled back on now in recent episodes, but I think for me at least I understand why this pony poop joke was cut.
Also, while probably not a reason why the joke was cut, there is the fact that horse droppings (the "not nice" way of saying that phrase at least) is a common swear word in America, so there's that to factor in too.
Then why did they remove it in Pass The Parcel?

The deleted scene was on Disney+ at one point with them. They removed it after like a couple of days later.

I noticed this as well with another episode - they missed the localization for capsicum / pepper. Distinctly remember having to look up what capsicum was 😂
On my next rewatch they said "pepper" and I felt like I was losing my mind, glad to know others have noticed similar silent edits!
The fact that so many locations in bluey exist in real life is sooo cool and I love it!!
There was another Easter egg in the show, the two horses buttermilk and biscuits can actually be classified as a reference to the song, buttermilk biscuits done by sir mix a lot because they are pair

In Finland, Yle (a public radio company) showed this episode this week and the part where the pony raises its tail was cut out of the episode, while in the Disney version this part was left despite the part showing the poo being cut out. In total, the episode in question has been shortened by 1 minute (length 6 minutes while the other episodes are 7 minutes long).

I agree, and that's kind of why this episode is one I don't really love? Because without being given a reason why Indie's diet is so restrictive, especially in the sense of it being for actual health reasons, it's really easy to just kind of see it as Indie's mom as just kind of forcing her daughter into a pretty restrictive diet because she personally is against eating all those things. Though no matter what, it makes me feel bad for Indie being there because she apparently can't really eat anything available outside of what her mom makes at her stall?

Just noticed Miss Retriever looks like she might be a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever in particular. Not much in the way of the white markings they usually have, but she does have that distinctive shade of red-orange that makes them stand out compared to other retrievers.
Of course, that’d be a bit of a mouthful to use as a character’s last name, so it makes sense they would just shorten it to “Retriever.” Though they could have shortened it to “Toller,” too.
I’d love to see calypso as someone’s adoptive mom or like a step mom because I’d love to see Howe they’d show what it feels like to be a adopted or a adoptive mom or having divorced parents or something

All my titles are usually based off the most commonly asked question/discussion about the episode on Reddit, that’s why I always try to discuss it in my videos and see what other people’s thoughts are because of course not everyone uses Reddit

I’d give it a 3-4 out of 5 long dogs because while it was a good episode, it’s not my favourite and it’s usually one I skipped while I rewatch the show. But I did love all of the Easter eggs from it and that we see so many characters!
I also appreciate the cowboy reference in the pony names. When you're having biscuits and gravy, Buttermilk Biscuits are the best.

Honestly, if Bluey and Indy both rode Buttermilk at the same time, it’d make this statement true: “The last thing you do before you die is crap your pants.”, which is what Buttermilk would have done by being crushed by the weight of both Bluey and Indy on Buttermilk’s back.

You know.....right after Winton's dad addresses him as 'sweetheart,' I wonder what would happen if I or someone in the show addressed Winton, I don't know, as 'peachy-face,' or 'sugar plum,' or something, just to be a smart aleck or to be 'cheeky.'
I hope I can visit Australia someday. It would be nice to see it at least once :)
One thing I find interesting about this episode in hindsight is that in "Handstand" Indy is present at Bingo's birthday party and seems to be excited to eat the cake, which would presumably be something she's not allowed to have based on the dietary restrictions she's on in this episode. So I wonder if Indy told her mom about the struggles she and Bluey had with finding something to share at the markets, because Indy couldn't eat anything, and her mom decided to come up with some kind of compromise, allowing her to have those things, but only for special occasions?

The pony lady wasn't rude. Carrying 2 children at once could put strain on the pony! It's better to say no than to hurt the animal. Plus, the pony lady didn't get angry or disappointed when Bluey changed her mind, she just called her a good friend.

I remember when I read the concept of this episode I was like 'this is gonna be a confusing one's but when I saw it, I have the perspective of an adult who pay attention to details and the child who just saw a cute episode
The adult one is pretty much what you say, learning how the money works in a child friendly way
But in the other side, I most of the time don't like to learn lessons for entertainment, (because I just want a distraction of real life) but I liked because of how much you have on the screen, they are a lot of characters, food, move, sounds, a lot of stimulation who distracted me and I loved 💙
