Great work featuring my favorite Battlemech! A couple years ago, there was another lawsuit with Harmony Gold but PGI and CGL won and now the Macross designs are "Re-seen."
Something different and something pretty cool. This happened to stumble on to this by pure luck, and found it to be quite enjoyable. Thanks for sharing it!
Great work man! Mechwarrior 2 is what got me into Battletech, specifically, the foreword at the beginning of a Mech2 strategy guide I chanced to buy from a display at Wal-Mart. Glad you had someone to play with. I too had a rural upbringing in the South, but no one was interested in Battletech. The books and artwork helped keep me sane during that lonely period. Take care man.
Was it the Mechwarrior book? Definitely not a short/wide technical readout. The manual that came in the box seems wrong. Whatever, absolutely one of the best Fasa artworks.
I used to be a hardcore Battletech fan. The Archer was one of my favorite mechs, partly from Robotech and partly because that under repair Archer drawing was one of my favorite illustrations. Aff, bargained well and done!
Very cool. Brings back some memories for me too. That was one of my favorite drawings in that book too, along with th guy getting his leg treated, for all the gritty detail. I laughed at the remark about old battletech art not being the best at times. There was definitely a style in the old fasa battletech and shadowrun books. Sometimes the detail was good but people had really "off" proportions.
Great work, better than anything I can do... one nitpick, you do not have 20 tubes in the shoulders, you have 26. Picture has a different pattern, but I assume you did what you did due to the software. I will note the picture does have 20 tubes. Kind of surprised you missed it to be honest... or that everyone else has as well since no one else commented on it. Devil is in the detail, eh?
Really NICE! And good work! Enjoyed your Video very much! :) If you like large scale battletech modeling, check a friend: Mal's Modeling Adventures ;) Nevertheless: keep up the good work and post more ;)

Really? Rad. Gotta link?
Thank you for watching and kind words.
I remember sitting and staring at this picture as a kid, just taking in all the details. Beautiful re-creation, my friend! \m/
Yeah. Fond memories.
Great work!
Thank you!
There is so much nostalgia in this as I've got most of these books on my shelf now.
Thanks for watching.
Sweet! This is why Tech Readout 3025 is my favorite, and I am never giving it up.
Superb project !!!! Brings the artwork to life !
This is amazing.
Stellar work!
Thanks. And thanks for watching.

@@tannerdowney2802 I believe it was the Mechwarrior book.

whoa, you have amazing weathering skills! can you make a video of your process?
It is very very VERY easy. Google "sponge weathering" it is an old technique.

@@ShastaDoktorG Just say it is a version with two LRM 20s and two SRM 6s. :D
Aweesome!
Thanks for watching!
@@ShastaDoktorGFor sure! Archer is one of my alltime favourites (even if on the board it's... a bit inefficient haha) so this diorama is great.
Did you do the archer in blender or did you use existing files?
The Archer is the Bandai "Spartan" 1:72 kit. Check ebay
nice video.the archer pic is my favourite too, mechwarrior I was full of good pics.any possibility to download de 3d file?
Which file? The scissorlift?
@@ShastaDoktorG yeah. If possible. I have a macross "archer" here (same as you used) and it would be good to try to get similar results.
