I hope that KORG finally releases Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) support for the regular KORG Collection. The gadgets are fun but the flagship collection needs NKS support too.
Wassup my man..we are on the same vibe..kontakt instruments, maschine mk3 and iOS..all my weapons of choice… I had the free version of gadget but I never really dug into it..I use beatmaker 3,koala sampler and recently got logic and AUM….Keep it up homie..u European guys keep the boombap light burning and we appreciate it 🙏🏾👊🏾
great video man! thanks for sharing your insights. subscribed. massive gadget fan here (for iOS) and considering getting it for Mac (full DAW + plugins) because I am exploring more music production on my new macbook pro currently!
Thanks for the sub man! Since I bought the Gadget plugin collection I've used the sounds on every track I've made. So for me it was definitely worth getting, but their spring sale has just ended, so unless you want to pay full price, it may be a good idea to wait for the summer one.
Great video and have always loved Gadget. When you export to Ableton VST, does the effects and recorded effect changes for that sound also get exported? Many thanks!
Good question! I think if any effects are applied to a track in Gadget, the Ableton VST export doesn't contain the effects, just the instrument. Would have been great to have the effects as VST as well.
this update on ios is pretty much perfect for people that regularly use gadget. export to ableton is huge for me and seeing you use the plugins makes me want to finally get the mac AU. I was just exporting as midi and a separate audio then combing projects in ableton, then add AU plugins that are not gadgets. also add follow actions to simulate gadgets environment....with the update it will be much easier.
@@LowHeatBeats I had just went through the process of exporting as audio to ableton then midi and merging the 2 files in ableton as well as the separate stems in fear korg would discontinue gadget. I added follow actions and time sig changes to mimic gadget and then a 3rd file from gadget to allow for remixing using another follow action.....the whole prcoess took days and now with the vst / au export takes about 3 minutes.
I get jealous every time you put your hands on a sequencer. You should do a series making a beat on a different app every week just to show us how bad at it we really are. 😂 Nah, but really, seeing you make beats on apps that most of us think won’t cut it is AMAZING! Thank you for the inspiration man. 🙏🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Thanks for the video! Not sure why everyone mentions the chord feature allows to easily create chord progressions when it basically only plays 7th chords? 😅
So i can get this pluggins version for my laptop and then use alk this instruments with my maschine mk3?? And for 150 bucks ( i am not an version 2 owner)?
I was under the impression that the wave file was the strumming pattern in santa ana and if a single note, chord or arp was used the 1st note is played like a multsample and if the rest of that wave / strumming pattern is held down then the full strumming pattern was played. thoughts? I did a quick screen rec on my channel to show what i mean..... if curious
According to the Korg website, by purchasing the Korg gadget 3 for $39.95, I get 20 modules out of the 45 available. My question is: How much will it cost me to be able to obtain all 45 modules?
Are you westcoast? Watching a few of ur vidz I hear a lot of westcoast g funk type sounds. I have MASCHINE. U are one of very few that demonstrates westcoast type beat making on MASCHINE EXACTLY WAY I BEEN LOOKING FOR💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I have the Korg Collection 4 as well and I totally agree.

This was really good, I started using the app again after a long time! Also the vst3 on Ableton are soo good! Love this update.
No doubt bro!

Yeah, makes finishing tracks in Ableton so much easier. Overall the plugins are worth it, if a bit on the expensive side. But for 150, it’s not bad.

Hello; Thank you for this video. Is it possible to resize the Gadget 3 vst 3 plugin (mac) ????
Nope, they are not resizeable.

My pleasure Mark, this is actually a great idea! Appreciate your support as always!
i might buy it now that it is auv3
Wait for the Black Friday sale.
@ that is true 👍🏽😎🫡💯✔️
Does anyone know if this update fixes the scaling/graphics of the plugins? v2 looks terrible on bigger screens
I don’t think it’s fixed

Good point! I guess I just quickly glanced over it, as I would never use it anyway, so I didn't realise it was so basic.
Been seeing this fr last week wondered if it's worth getting
It depends on what else you have, I just love Korg's sounds, so for me it definitely was.

Exactly, you get the full collection of 40 gadgets for 150 (sale price until Jan 31, otherwise it’s 200) and they integrate perfectly in Maschine.

Yeah, you may be right about this one, it sounds cleaner than just a loop pitched up and down.
@@LowHeatBeats my brain keeps saying it's a sampler ... lol
I cant find the NKS icons for the newest v3 gadgets (in my maschine browser) . Does anyone know how to get them to show?
Yeah, it seems Korg haven't updated the NKS part of Gadget. So until they do, I don't think there's a way to get them to show.

Can't say the exact price but wait for the BF sale, the base app and most of the modules will be 50% off.
Do you have any videos specifically for that westcoast g funk sound / tips🤷🏽♂️
I do have a couple of them, should be easy to find them on the channel.

VST3 plugins are just wrappers around their VST plugins unfortunately
Didn't know that. Does it make any difference?
