    Just the type of video I was looking for! I've had the Maschine + for a bit over a year now and still have some issues when trying to pick the best way to export the ideas into Ableton.

    Thanks man, awesome tutorial, I have never thought of losing group effects is part of extracting on sounds level. Otherwise I do it like you and I find it very annoying. I love starting projects in Maschine, but when they turn out well, I am dreading that converting to Ableton part and I wished I had started in Ableton. But Maschine is way more fun except that last step. I hope Native allows their engineers to turn it more into a DAW for the arrangement step. And I miss the warping capabilities for audio. Then it would be perfect.

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, if it can become a DAW without sacrificing the quick workflow for starting tracks, that would be great. Glad you enjoyed the video!

    I have worked on many projects with the Maschine MK3. Love it, got the Jam and the KK2, these 3 together make a powerful combo.
    Anyway, my main daw is Protools.
    One simple thing NI should implement in both their sketches and arrangements view is a proper MUTE function. Not being able to mute and unmute MIDI clips and/or midi notes is really counter intuitive.

    Thanks for this video. I think this all depends on what your workflow is.
    Personally I use Maschine’s arranger all of the time because it is super flexible and fast.
    I often work in a very iterative way where I try things out and change them until I feel the whole song works. The Maschine arranger allows me to try out different song arrangement structures and add or edit patterns in a full song context. And the big advantage is that everything is reversible: you can just change patterns/sections/scenes for ever until the composition lands in the desired spot. Sometimes, I convert a few patterns to clips, so I can edit some of the MIDI such astransitions between song parts. After that, I start tweaking the instruments/sounds/fx, and then I go back to some of the clips until I am happy. I do agree that the final mixing and mastering isn’t that easy in Maschine.
    My main use of clips is when I start from full song length audio, like a guitar track and/or vocals. I record these directly into the Audio module and play them in a clip created in the arranger. Other instruments like drums, bass, keys are then added also in clips.

    It's probably why I switched to Serato Studio. It gives me the Maschine speed and flexibility of arranging with a mouse

      @@LowHeatBeatsit's a really fun way to create. But the arranger/song mode is ass, and much more rudimentary than Maschine for sure. It's more like MPC (I think, never used one), where you can chain your scenes/patters and that's pretty much it. idk tf that other guy is on about; the "flexibility of arranging with a mouse" in Studio pretty much comes down to dragging your patterns into a single master track.

    Same workflow 👊 I've committed to stop using kits since the processing on Groups is lost when you just want the sounds\stems. Now I will manually process my Drums at sounds so I don't loose punch etc.

      @LowHeatBeats  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

  • @ishan5011
    @ishan5011 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I do exactly what you do for FL Studio but your exporting is wild; I don't have the issues you have. I just take the time to make the draft arrangement and I get all my sounds, effects and changes in one long track for each instrument when I export the audio by group, not as tedious separate scenes.

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But I'm kinda doing the same thing that you're doing, maybe you didn't watch the whole video and missed that part? I just don't develop the arrangement too much in Maschine, but otherwise, I export one long track for each group like you do.

    Hey bro, thanx for another cool video about maschine. I use and love maschine since 2018. I consider myself more of a composer than a beatmaker. Anyways, a few months ago I decided to move to Ableton, but I find it so hard to integrate or even have a maschine-live11 workflow. I also got the push 3, and it’s super cool too, but i find it super slow to browse the sounds I want in comparison to Native Instruments great database of that makes sense. Would you share other kind of workflow options between these two great platforms? Thanks in advance,
    Greetings from Mexico City ! And happy holidays 👊🏻👊🏻

      Thanks! I will think about more tips for integrating them and make another vid if I come up with something useful. This might just be what puts me over the edge to make that purchase of Ableton. I know that you can work with maschine to do a lot of what you demonstrated here but honestly it just brings your workflow to a screeching halt when you have to make so many copies of sounds or resample from the master. Maschine is really great just not always super intuitive.

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For sure, can't go wrong with getting Ableton Live. You will still have to put in some time and effort to learn it but I feel it's worth it for how fast and easy you can work with it.

    Hi mate, can you not just run the Machine mk3 Audio output cables into a Focusrite or other audio interface then the machine audio is fed into an audio track in Ableton Live?

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sure, you can do that but it's much faster and easier to export the audio tracks internally than recordng them in real time with an audio interface. You can also drag and drop directly into Live from Maschine if the method I'm showing in the video isn't suitable for your workflow.

    • @maydaygoingdown5602
      @maydaygoingdown5602 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @LowHeatBeats Hey thanks brother, the drag and drop option into Ableton sounds good for me, I didn't know you could do that.
      I have the MPC ONE bug to be honest I find it a pain to work with, takes too long.
      But I've seen the Machine Mk3 second hand for £250.00 and I'm tempted to buy it.
      But I run all of my gear through a 24 channel mixer into my Focusrite into Daw, and I'm not familiar with Machine and it's workings at all.

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Oof... this looks a bit painful. Glad I opted to not get a Maschine/+. I picked up a nice cheap Nektar Aura, but want to sell it now, to help pay for my next toy - not sure if I am going to get a Push3 or wait and see if Novation rolls out with an SL MKIV @ NAMM in January.
