Take 2 was definitely my favorite. Luckily Dan only ended up upside down and not inside out as well ;-D
Yeah, I think 5 and 2 are the best. I wish Dan made it to his seat correctly in those. In five, I think him and Andy also had too hard of a time opening up the second set of suitcases.

y'know i was actually fairly impressed with how well they managed to get some coreography going in the video considering the circumstances but now i can see it's really more like hopeful flailing.
I feel bad for the clean up crew
most probably the paint is washable just like the paintball pellets they use vegetable oil or something not real paint. maybe idk

the final (and unplanned) take really was the magic one
I think the eight one was ruined a bit by the suitcase in Andy’s seat (nobody’s fault obviously) but other than that yes, it was absolutely perfect 👌
1:05 that paint whiplash reaction. that looks like it either hurt or was super surprising. and then the faceplant at the end of that take

What amazes me though is that they didnt rely on simulation first to get a clearer picture of the choreography
They just have this "get up and go try it" attitude until its perfect for viewing but not so for them.
i like how damian just poked a hole in the balloon but it didn't burst at 2:00 but then he pops it and it syncs with the music

apparently it washes off with normal water so they just sprayed it down but then they forgot that they were in russia and the water froze.

Oh my god they had to literally clean everything up BETWEEN takes as well as at the end. They must have had so many different versions of those outfits...
How were these to be edited into the video if there wasn't an 8th take ? ( im guessing 8th was edited in as well ) Wouldn't the props jump / have different spacing during the cut ? We're the props arranged to follow up from the scenes before the thunderdome ? Awesome video awesome job !

So I'm a little confused after watching the behind the scenes...
They said they did it all in one take and sped it up while the plane was increasing altitude to smooth the transitions, but it seems this last scene, the "Thunderdome" was still taken in several shots to try to get a good one because it was so chaotic?
So one take means there were no cuts or transitions but it doesn’t necessarily mean on the first try. I know this comment was forever ago but hope it helps
How did you do to have all the objects sync with the last take?

they didn't use the last take you see in this video. In the beginning it says these are the first 7 attempts, and the 8th one is the one they used :D

+Enzo Cardeal I think they filmed the entire run from start to finish at least 8 times and they used the entire 8th time as the final video (you can watch the other behind the scenes videos, I think they mention it in one of them). In between each video they would wash down the entire plane
