Hank!!!! Awesome series buddy… Everyone building a submarine has weight concerns I imagine. It’s actually one of my biggest concerns. I thought for Outer ballast hull of using fiberglass to save on weight. Is this a bad idea? Of course assuming the ballast tanks are rated to handle the pressure and of course they’d be vented well to prevent over pressure.
This is like a childhood dream of mine. I had a "fort" in my backyard with a top hatch and upper deck. I played submarine on it all the time.
I hear that often, I thought it was just me.

Fiberglass is common but make darn sure you have a large vent as you mentioned. It’s nice because you can form it easily to make your sub look good.
