Why don't you use flexible exhaust pipe connector like some trucks. Direct engine to hull mount will transfer all vibrations and probably make it very loud inside.
My feeling is the engine is extremely smooth, plus the hull is very heavy, so might be okay. I do not want to risk an exhaust leak, with the exhaust being so short.
So are you going with a single propeller now. And if so would you consider mounting an auxiliary egg whisk to get you back to shore in the event of a main motor problem?
