For all of Thanos's intelligence, it always baffled me that he never figured out that if he wanted Mistress Death, essentially being a postman that keeps bringing her mail isn't gonna work. Especially if you're the one writing her letters just so you have an excuse to bring it to her.. If you wanna be equal to death, become life dummy. You were able to absorb the 1 above all, the Phoenix force shouldn't be that difficult.. If anyone wants to get the best depiction of the concept of “Death” in Marvel comics, they simply have to go back to the old 1970s version of the Doctor Strange comic book drawn by the immortal Frank Brunner and written by Steve Gerber, I believe. He gave what I think they should’ve never let go in any depiction of that character. Death has existed for so long that it does not recognize any one individual. It does not know who Doctor Strange was. It would’ve taken the concept of Thanos courting her as more of his warped projection than it was anything that she existed as a structure at all. They would’ve made him to feel like a mad person rather than this character actually having any form (which throws out the nonsense of that Kranker comic about these abstract entities going to a “dimension of manifestation“ insanity. Then again, it’s those early concepts of characters like that, and eternity that made those characters, all powerful and incomprehensive, even to so-called classic Doctor Strange
Thanos FINALLY comes to the realization that Mistress Death has been playing him for a fool and in Marvel's X saga Thanos uses the Ultimate Nullifier to kill her
There's absolutely no way Thanos kills death herself. That's the personification of ending itself. Any low IQ incel would only say something like this.

I remember buying the Contest of Champions series back in the early eighties. It was the most mind blowing marvel team up ever at the time. I discovered a few characters that I never knew existed. Thanks for bringing back some good childhood memories for me
Though I liked/appreciated the reason they gave Thanos for assembling the gems, I still wish they would have gone with the end credit tease from Avengers: Assemble and have him doing it to appease Death like the comics from the 90s. I was a grinning little kid when that scene came up and absolutely loved letting my 5yr old son dig through my old comics to see why my expectations were so high! He's been drawing, reading and writing his own comics ever since! Hell, despite the majority complaining of quality, we marathon the entire MCU (..!., not the Inhumans show) leading up to every release to stay fresh! Great Dad & Son times I wouldn't trade for anything!
The thing with early Thanos was that it was never clear if Death was there or if it was just in his imagination. He is the Mad Titan because he is completely insane thinking he is doing Death's bidding, at least after helping Warlock defeat The Magus. It isn't until Thanos Quest that it is revealed that he actually is Death's champion, I could be forgetting a few things. I don't consider Thanos Rising to be canon. It totally ignores, or downplays, that he is an eternal and how he later empowered himself to enhance his natural abilities. I stick with the original where Thanos' mother dies in the bombardment of Titan.
Agreed. I also watch knowing what happens in the comics but excited to see the MCUs take on it. Comics and movies are two very different mediums and must be treated as such. Also, some take these things a bit too seriously for me.
I think it’s also important for a Story to set expectations so Fans know what to expect. For Instance, with Wandavision it was said the story was inspired in the comics where Mephisto is very relevant, so fans expected the demon to appear, and when it didn’t happen, people complained. Again with Agatha. It was teased that the series would answer the question of whether Wanda was dead or not. When those questions are not answered it’s normal for fans to point that out. That doesn’t mean the series are bad. Both Wandavision and Agatha all along, despite not fulfilling certain expectations, both series were great and Fans liked them anyway
I would appreciate if you kept up the coverage of Infinity Watch (2024). I think you're going to end up covering it eventually. They are building up to the Thanos with Mjolnir and all the Infinity Stones and the Black Death Stone. Unless they already did and I missed it.

It would be interesting to have a connection between the Pheonix and Mistress Death if Marvel persued the idea of her realm being The White Hot Room. If you draw upon the notion of her being based upon the Grim Reaper then she is gathering the lifeforce of people who's physical bodies are now gone or beyond repair and like a cracked or destroy vessel of water that liquid has to go somewhere. If the Pheonix is the sum total of all life that can, has or currently exists then it would be where the water goes. Therefore Mistress Death and her varients could reasonably be the servant of the Pheonix Force that gather life to The White Hot Room which causes it to join with the Pheonix Force. This would also explain why Jean Grey enters the White Hot Room when she dies as it is the realm of Mistress Death and she experiences it differentky due to being a previous host of the Pheonix.
Thanos searched the galaxy for the infinity stones and wiped out half of the universe for one reason. To please Mistress Death, but unfortunately, he just can't take a hint. Which is how relationships are these days. What is it with Women telling men they can't take a hint?
What is it with men being sex-pests who think they are entitled to women and take any interaction from women to them, especially basic kindness, as a romantic gesture? Men are the problem.
More so a manipulative collector. As long as people die, how it happened or changed to happen doesn’t matter. By death disagreeing with something existing means it’s an abomination. It’s literally Death disagreeing with a life that managed to exist.

Yeah, that’s old mythology for you. There are stories were Odin looked favorably on a warrior he like, so he made them trip in battle so they would lose and die.
