If the video continues to gain views - we will definitely do a review on the PS1 render conveyor✨
Thanks!🤩

Looks like "Water Hazard" chapter from Half-Life 2, but on PS1! :)
comfy
Very cool graphics! The song has been used fifty million times though, you could easily find something that fits better. Some wind ambience to match the moving grass would be very nice as well, even just some variable white noise if you wanna go lofi.
perfect
nice

low resolution eg 320x240/320x480px, max 640x480, low textures 32x32 px, max. 128x128, bilinear filtering OFF, low poly models, sprite billboarding.

We're actually big Playstation 1 fans.
We wrote our rendering pipeline and lighting system in the likeness of a real PlayStation 1. (standard, grass, water, tire, skybox, etc.) + functionality of waves/winds, subsurface lighting, fog, reflection system and much more.
Shadows in PS1 also work non-trivially and are not even a texture (we did the same).
You were right about the reduced resolution, but even this aspect is very complex and in order to achieve the correct “pixelization” we wrote a not simple camera system.
We also don’t have any post effects yet and we plan to write them later to add uniqueness to our PS1 style.
If the video continues to gain views, we will definitely do a review on the PS1 render conveyor, thanks
@@adeconproduction sure. In fact, PS1 is not typical of low poly, low texture size, non filtered textures but the absence of standard perspective texture correction (they use affine methodology) and transformed vertexes do not have subpixel precision but jump on the integer grid.
If I compare the same scene in, say, Quake 2 on PC to PS1 at low resolution and with texture filtering turned off, on PS1 I will see "weird" polygons jumping and weird texture wrapping on them.
@@gurujoe75 Yes, fixed-point math and GTE in the PlayStation gave these "weird" polygons. But a much more fun effect is when in Medal Of Honor you come very close to an object and start turning the camera - it will create the feeling that the camera is spinning around an object that is close to the camera🤯This is a very interesting gaming platform that inspires
