funny, my dad and I replaced those struts when I had it. The interior was white and mint. The car did overheat when we had it and i believe the right headlight didn't work along with the speedo. I couldn't drive that on the freeway because the car would overheat, as we found out the coolant reserve reservoir was mounted to low. my dad moved that, and added the skateboard trucks. The rear pan gasket had a leak, but overall it was a fun car to own and drive. i love how my shifter is still there 16 years later. Cheers!

The interior was white but i painted it black and added black seat covers to it. The steering was pretty heavy, it was a comfortable seating position for me I’m 5’ 10” but what was something I couldn’t get used to was the tremendously heavy shift on the gated manual and heavy clutch. I’d dread having to shift it if I was out driving around in it. Beautiful car thought I should have bought one when they were only $125,000… look at what they cost now.😂

Your absolutely right Bob. It looks like it has good bones. I agree you should invest in the interior as that will lift the presentation of the whole car. As for the motor I’d upgrade that with the Cadillac motor if it easily fits….why not. I recommend you always drive with a fire extinguisher…….fuel smells should be investigated rather than waiting for it to catch fire. Probably a fuel line leak

They have been a lot of LS swaps on those Fiero lately, so.... that would be my recommendation. If it's gonna look like one it's gonna be fast! 🤪 Also, you can get a small under dash 12V universal automotive air conditioner cheap, and for something like that probably be perfect for an easy installation. I agree as a kit it looks pretty cool even if it's a little short, lol definitely needs an interior upgrade. Haters that says it's a fake and whatever, that's all you do... You make fake cars for a living Lol, so why not... I mean you got fake Echoes, Kitts, Blues Mobile, Time Machines, exc... Why not a Fake Lambo too. 😉👍
Bob have you seen the 308 kit cars that are built on an 80's Camaro platform? There was one for sale local to me with a 383 Chevy but I passed on it. It would be pretty cool to see you have a red one to add to the fleet as a magnum PI tribute.
I had a fiero back in the 90s. Loved it till I got broadsided at high speed. Amazingly safe car since nothing happened to me. Just wrecked the body. Fake or real I bet you get the same amount of folks wanting to look at it.
Dude this thing is sick, who cares if it's real or not because it's looks like so much fun and the build quality while not perfect and has room for improvement in the video looks really good. Reminds of a hotwheels car or a cartoony go kart version of the real car, as for the motor I agree if it isn't broken don't fix it but again I can't wait to see what you have planned for this. I honestly think kit cars are not that bad if built well and stable enough to drive regularly, I feel part of the hate comes from the really shotty built ones and that those who never finish them don't do enough planning when building them. I saw a really nice fake Cobra concept car in my area with a Ford GT motor and was built really well when the owner showed it to me. Do you have plans for the other Lambor Weenie? I think it would be cool to make that one into the cannonball run car with the front spoiler.
Your best bet for power and reliability would be a ls4 5.3l v8 swap from a pontiac grand prix gxp. Being an ls they can make decent power with minimal mods, the automatic transmission that comes with them are super tough and almost bulletproof and there are even ways to add paddle shifters if you ever wanted to in the future. Also they make engine swap kits for the fierro for the ls4
Cool looking car. The best part is that if it's got the 3800 in it then it will run forever. Did you know that the Lamborghini Diablo used Nissan 300Z headlight assemblies? Not sure about the Countach though.
Take a look at the Sam Hard “Hard Up Garage” Countach replica. It’s pretty darn good. The side windows are completely different in this replica. Doesn’t look bad though. Then you mention Sam Hard at the end - bugger - should have watched till the end first
